hey folks – this is ardhendu bose – the bombay dyeing man!! good to know i am still remembered! yes i was sometimes known as the indian james bond and other times as the indian bruce lee!! not very flattering huh?? looks like i had no identity of my own!! cheers!
The possibility of this sort of random encounter is, to me, the most exciting aspect of the internet. [Not "exciting" in the sense of intellectually stimulating, oh no, but in the sense of that frission I feel when fingers lightly pass over my arm.]… How wonderful to see Mr. Bose here…
yes munna – this is me and this is one of the ads. i was the bombay dyeing man 175 – 1985 – and this ad is dated 1984. wonderful that you have managed to get your hands on to this. cheers
Dear Ardhendu, I remember watching your movie COBRA. U did have talent. U performed fights and emotional scenes well. What happened later ? Did u not take your acting career seriously ???
hi niranjan – i did do a few films after “cobra” – “kaun kaisey”/mera yaar mera dushman” with anil ganguly, “aakhri baazi’ with ashim samanta, “vish kanya” with late jag mundhra etc – did a couple of video films for nari hira – “khatarnak irade” with anju mahindroo, “shingora” with persis khambata – did a couple of tv serials – “sadma” directed by pavan kaul, “jaane kahan gaya jigar mera ji” directed by prochee bhatia etc -then i just decided to break away – no reason really – great to know that iam still remembered – take care – ardhendu
Ardhendu sir,how are you ? When COBRA released I was just a teenager. But still remember your biopic in ABP newspaper and the thrill of your screen presence in Bombay dyeing ad movie.
