Hrithik Roshan is so fond of trance music that he especially asked music director Rajesh Roshan to include a trance track in Kites. Hrithik made his chacha (Rajesh Roshan) hear trance music from all over the world to give him a fair idea about the kind of track he wanted. The final result was the track Fire in Kites.
As Kites is a love story, its soundtrack is largely melodious and slow romantic songs. Hrithik wanted at least one different track in the album. Rajesh Roshan said, “The track Fire is quite different from the other songs in Kites. Hrithik logged on to YouTube to make me hear several trance tracks from all over the world. He remembered names of several trance artists and he wanted me to hear each one of them. He played various trance tracks he had heard in English, American and French clubs to give me an idea of what he wanted me to compose.”
He added, “Hrithik said that the music should give a feeling of “flying away” otherwise it cannot be called trance. It had to be a hard hitting beat. I wondered how I would pull it off. After days of research, I finally composed a tune, which Hrithik liked. He asked me to sing a line, which I did. The next thing I knew is that he asked me to sing it in the film. I told him we could get professional singers but he liked my high pitched singing.”
The trance track has been co-created by musician Vishal Dadlani. “Hrithik liked his antra and I have sung the mukhda,” said Rajesh Roshan.

Much as we’d like to claim that we hate revealing the end of Kites, fact is that we are absolutely delighted to be the news breakers and letting out the climax (no pun intended) of the Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori starrer.
So, here goes… Anurag Basu’s much- awaited film Kites ends tragically with the lead pair Hrithik and Barbara committing suicide. Like with most hit love stories in Bollywood (remember Ek Duuje Ke Liye and Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak?), the makers of Kites too seem to want to win sympathy votes for its sizzling lead pair.
A source says, “Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, who play lovers in the film, die in the end. They jump off a cliff into the sea. As they jump to their death, the film ends.”
Explaining why they end their life, the source says, “Both are on the run. The law is chasing them and so is the mafia. There is no other way out for them.”
Kangna Ranaut, who also stars in the film, doesn’t die. “Kangna ko kucch nahin hota hai. Anyway she has a very small part to play,” adds the source.
We sent a text message to the producer of Kites, Rakesh Roshan and director Anurag Basu but they did not reply. Kites is set to hit the screens on May 21.
why is kangana getting such a raw deal here?! she is neither in d film’s promos nor in d posters..d one pic she has is quite unflattering!! does she have a guest appearance or something?!
-”Kangna Ranaut, who also stars in the film, doesn’t die. “Kangna ko kucch nahin hota hai. Anyway she has a very small part to play,” adds the source.”
Director Anurag Basu says he is offended and disturbed by the reported leak of the climax of Kites even though that is not how the film ends. He also believes the movie should not get an A-certificate by the censors as it has no such intimate scenes.
“The climax that got leaked was thankfully wrong,” Basu said, reacting to reports that lead actor Hrithik Roshan and Mexican actress Barbara Mori, who play lovers in the movie, die in the end.
“That is not the climax of the film, but it clearly offended me because many sections of the audience would believe it to be the actual end,” he told IANS in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.
“They will go inside the hall with that perception which is very disturbing. It is very unethical. A film has growth only till the climax and if the audience has any perception about the same, there is no fun watching it then. It is really disturbing,” he added.
Basu, who has to his credit films like Life in a…Metro, Gangster and Murder, also put rumour mills to rest regarding the yet-to-be announced censorship certificate for the movie.
“Kites is not an A film. It (censor certificate) can be U or U/A but not A – that is 100 percent…There are no intimate scenes in the film as such that will require an A certificate,” he said.
A love story about an Indian man’s affair with a Latin woman and their predicament as they don’t understand each other’s language, Kites is about their thrilling journey filled with precious moments and unexpected betrayal.
Releasing simultaneously in Hindi and English on May 21 in over 60 countries, it has been produced by Hrithik’s filmmaker-father Rakesh Roshan and will be distributed and marketed by Reliance BIG Pictures.
The English version, shorter by half-an-hour than the two-hour long Hindi one, has been presented and reworked by Hollywood director Brett Ratner.
Shot in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Santa Fe, the much anticipated project also stars Kangana Ranaut.
Noteworthy is that Kangana has been visibly absent from promotions of the movie. Asked if she had been sidelined, Basu said: “She has not been sidelined from the promotions. We don’t want to include Kangana very much in the promotions and give a wrong perception of the film.”
“If we include more of Kangana in the promotion, it will give the perception of a love triangle between Kangana, Hrithik and Barbara, which it is not. It’s a love story between Barbara and Hrithik. She has a special appearance in the film and that’s what her role is in the promotions too,” he explained.
Earlier rumoured to release in 2009 and then in January 2010, marking Hrithik’s 36th birthday and his completion of 10 years in the film industry, Kites has seen a constant delay in coming to the box office.
“The perception of delay happened because people thought the film was ready and was shown in Cannes last year which is not the case. Actually what we had shown there was just the working tape,” said Basu.
“We were ready only by winter (last year), but because it’s a huge film and we have both the Hindi and English versions releasing together, to meet all the logistics, we decided the final date as only May 21,” he added.
Basu’s future projects include a romantic movie with Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra and a biopic on Kishore Kumar.
“Shekhar Kapur on twitter says he’s seen the film and he really praises HR and Mori’s chemistry.Shocked me. lol.”
Kassam- NOT at all surprising. agree fully with shekhar kapoor.
Have been pointing this out from the very outset.
There is REAL CHEMISTRY here–the “connoisseurs” will easily pick this up even from the promos.
The “rumors” of hritik-mori (no pun intended) dont seem NOT rumors.
esp hritik seems to be really enjoying himself and looks really enamoured (or he has improved markedly as an actor)
If there was one film that runs JJUST on chemistry-this maybe one..
The Hrithik and Barbara affair rumours could indeed be true on some level. It would not surprise me. However I also must add that actors can hate each others guts offscreen, but go onto to share an explosive hot-molten chemistry onscreen. Good or hot chemistry between actors does not always mean the actors are messing about(fooling around). Most times its the opposite. LOL
i completely agree with you eire..chemistry is always an inherent part of d script nd d director’s vision..i firmly believe dat!!
i loved rani nd saif in hum tum 2gether nd i dont think they were on very good terms offscreen at dat point in time!!
“Good or hot chemistry between actors does not always mean the actors are messing about(fooling around). ” Thanks Eire for educating us there!
Ooops, i always took it at face value-hahaha.
Its obvious- v good actors can put it up v well. But REAL chemistry just becomes obvious and distinct from the carefully skilfully put-up facade.
Anyhow, there is no way to prove /disprove what hritik-mori were actually up2 -including messing around- so no point there…
lol-whats hritik “looking for” in mori or trying to “unravel” in the top 2 pics-he is surely njoying himself there- gotto the “skin” of the character- dont blae him for striving fr “perfection” here!
whats up with kangana ini that inviting-in the waiting pose!
however-back to seriousness-the best for me is the one wiht bearded hritik in the forelorn look-reminds me somehow of tom hanks in castaway-anther favorite film…
Latest trailer now indeed strikes resemblance of plot and storyline with 1990′s Hollywood movie-Revenge starring Kevin Costner and Madeleine Stowe…though villain does not appear as strong as Anthony Quinn but seems to have copied mannerisms etc.
With Kaho Na Pyarr Hai, Hrithik Roshan enjoyed the biggest and most successful ‘hero’ launch ever.
It was widely speculated that Rakesh’s handsome, talented son was the next great Bollywood Superstar, following in the footsteps of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
But a decade later, Hrithik’s career has, in a word, fizzled, especially since Koi Mil Gaya in 2003. His last hero role came in Jodhaa Akbar in 2008, and he’s been off-screen ever since, aside from a special appearance in Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance.
Now, after the two-year absence, Hrithik Roshan is back with Kites, produced by his father Rakesh Roshan, directed by Anurag Basu and starring Mexican actress Barbara Mori and Kangna Ranaut.
Can you tell us about the film? Why did it take so long?
It is a simple love story about two characters who don’t share a common language. (Mori speaks Spanish and Hrithik speaks English).
It took two and a half years of my heart and soul to make Kites, and I am very proud of the film. It’s not been influenced by any commercial aspects, and nothing in it caters to the gallery.
I was blessed to work with a director like Anurag Basu, whose sensitivity made this film what it is!
wow, that’s quite a harsh intro., given that whenever HR has appeared in a film of late, he has gotten big initials and big grosses. His problem is that he seems paralyzed. To paraphrase Hazlitt on Wordsworth, some actors are ruined by failure; others are ruined by success.
The Ratner poster seems like a combo of Sin City and something by Baz Luhrman.
yeah that intro’s idiotic but it contains a kernel of truth which is that Hrithik has slowed his own momentum in many ways and now it’s too late to pick it up again in the sense that he either needed to be the biggest blockbuster guy (as he once was and isn’t anymore) or else start the ‘alternative’ narrative earlier. To compound matters he lost about 5-6 years collectively after KMG with these absences. Now he’s finally increasing volume and he might well find success here but he’s not setting the terms of debate either way. That he is one of the top box office openers is beyond doubt. But what is often missed is the fact that in a more Hollywood kind of environment being a top box office opener isn’t the sort of ‘absolute’ that it once was. How? Because with an industry and audience increasingly desirous of the ‘prestige’ film or ‘alternative cinema’ doing fantastically in genre films is irrelevant beyond a point. The question becomes: who can do something approximating Aamir’s achievement in that ‘different’. We saw how mortal Hrithik was with JA, we’ve seen this with SRK as well. It’s not a knock on these stars. It’s just hard to get very big winners doing the different. But if you’re a distributor who has to deal with the reality of these ‘different’ films popping up all the time you’re not going to look at the Krrish standard when judging Bhansali or Zoya Akhtar but the JA one. The same goes for other stars. The other way to break ahead is to get reasonable success at the ‘different’ but to get it most of the time, or an average where you can beat competitors who’re doing the same (again so far only Aamir has had that track record). Which is why incidentally Abhishek’s ability to attract great projects is not surprising. Yes his ‘actor’ credentials have just grown over time but even beyond this producers/distributors know that the kinds of films he attempts are always risky and wouldn’t really succeed with any other star as well. In fact some of his competitors have failed or underperformed in the past with far safer subjects. So the distributor might blame Abhishek for doing too many of these (though the current lineup offers a nice mix in many ways) but on each individual film he knows what’s going on. On the other hand if Abhishek had been doing the JBJ sort of deal mostly and then failing at it or underperforming he’d be finished a long time ago. Of course his failures have been exaggerated to a great degree by partisans but that’s another matter. Getting back to Hrithik it’s a question of setting the narrative in a Hollywood scenario. Take Leo. He has Scorsese and Nolan back to back. But Will Smith is the biggest box office force right now. No one cares! Because Smith’s incredible run does not hurt Leo’s narrative in any way. Much as Tom Cruise with greater box office success could not hurt Brad Pitt in any way for the longest time (recently of course Pitt has had more box office success too).
saw this yesterday!!..hrithik is one helluva boring interviewee..nd its clear dat he is even acting in his interviews..!!
barbara ..on d other hand is pretty charming..nd masand is trying his level best to perk up d intvu..!!
how can be so sure satyam??!! i always thought hrithik nd suzanne r very loyal to each other..nd look 2 be very much in love..!!
btw..does anyone else think..he is sounding a bit arrogant offlate??!! nd i hate it..infact i HATE it when an interviewee is chewing ..gum while giving an interview..looks SO WANNABE!!
Mansi, Shobhaa De is an insider and knows what is going on in her circle. I don’t like her but she is “friends” with these society ladies like Suzanne.
alrite..!! but i m still not sure really abt. d authenticity of this news..coz even mori said dat suzanne is like her sister..which makes hrithik her jija ji..!! but if hrithik’s done dat..its unforgivable really!!!
not sure what the point of first shooting such a scene (which is in the international trailer) and then denying it is (unless this is a game of semantics and he really means that he doesn’t have a front shot!)?
my sister..who is a big hrithik fan would have really gotten hurt if this was in d indian version..when hrithik did dat dhoom-2 kiss..she was like..” i cant imagine..dat hrithik has actually done this”..!! she got a bit offended actually..!! but i guess dats d mentality of a lot of ppl in india!!
like the top 2 pics for different reasons. esp the top one. hritik reminds me of tom hanks in castaway in this bearded look.
he also will be a good “jesus christ” in the bearded avtaar — if ever attempted …lol
unlike many others here– i am looking forward to this one.
cant count out roshans in their home production.
the song “zindagi” illustrates how v good results can be obtained wihtout going into too much complexity —-keep it simple, melodious, honest and u wont go grosly wrong.
obviuosly , u wont get a rahmanesque album, but again-this song is quite a handful.
Another singer nowadays, seems to be a revelation to me. Rahat fateh ali khan– whatever song he sings nowadays –veer, even crap from de dana dan—becomes a pleasure.
enjoyed the interaction bw HR and saif-srk at fimfare —where they asked HR –how high willl his kites fly—-HR replied that the kite will fly higher than kurbaan or billu did…
Inspite of many things going against it this time– still think it should be a winner..
“The gossip queen herself Shobhaa De said the affair was real and not a publicity stunt.” Agree wiht tyler and shobha de there..
cmon HR go for it…. i mean– for the box-office now (not for mori again..)
sometimes I wonder who’s been most offensive this season — Sajid Khan or Hrithik Roshan? Listen to all the stuff he’s been saying on this film. It’s just astonishing in its sheer impoverishment. There is so much to take apart here and in all the other interviews he’s given on Kites that it’s just too much work to take it all apart.
I’m not objecting to the selling of one’s film. Everyone does this and everyone says really silly and idiotic things in doing so, especially actors in Bollywood who simply take the cake when it comes to banality and ‘unintelligent’ commentary. So its par for the course in some ways and yet there are points at which the commentary is taken to such extremes of ridiculousness that it stops meaning anything. I’ve said this a number of times on Bachchan’s blog as well. One shouldn’t make one’s language utterly meaningless. Which is what it is here when Krrish is called the most ‘honest’ film around, something other than D2, a film where one won’t go ‘wah kya dialog hai’ (as opposed to all those other Deewar-esque moments Hrithik has), the film has no commercial pretensions to it.. on and on and on. Just say you’re making a stupid film and get on with it! It hardly affects the box office either way!
By the way note the Freudian slip here (he did this in another interview too) — he keeps referring to JA as ‘Akbar’. It isn’t the sort of looong title that has to be truncated is it?! Some anxiety here?
Finally he talks about ‘truth’ and ‘honesty’ and ‘rising higher’ and what not so much it’s as if he was on a path to sainthood but somehow got diverted into cinema!
I used to find Hrithik endearing. Increasingly he’s become somewhat insufferable for me. Still don’t mind him on screen but his narcissism is really taking over. And it shows on screen as well. The burden of stardom has not been an easy one for him.
having said all of this (and this is something I’ve always maintained on this) I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the film did well or very well. This audience is capable of anything!
sorry to say this….but for such a good looking guy..he sounds like a dumb person in the first part..nd in d second part..there is too much philosophy….
he has certainly developed an attitude..now i just hope for hrithik’s sake dat this attitude is just dat and not arrogance!!!!
its as if he had written a script and adhering to all those keywords that you mentioned, makes for a very monotonous and uninteresting seeing. i always thought that hritik was very articulate but that was before the advent of ‘exposive’ interviews on TV. that perception is totally shattered now. he comes across as a bit insecure especially being aware of the huge cost the film has to recover to make it successful. i guess after the release we will have a whole lot of inflated figures to announce its hit status a la mink.
i was very keen on seeing the film but as jayshah says there are enough clips to get the concept of the whole movie and honestly i don’t see anything new. language barrier is not a new idea and all that hritik does has been done many times over. maybe the technique has been refined and fine tuned, but thats about it.
read this yesterday..no matter how many good reviews nd no. of stars this movie gets..nothing is inspiring me to go for this movie!! it doesn’t even have peppy no’s like housefull..
mansi-disagree there. I am keen on this moview INSPITE of numerous obvious problems with it and the brickbats thrown already BEFORE release. will try to catch this one IF it gets shown near me.
dont think hritik, rakesh can afford to goof up here in a big way– i dont think rakesh-basu would have gone wrong too much…I Like hritik
dont mind mori at all.
as for songs–have heard only one song properly-zindagi–liked it more than any houseful song!
“it doesn’t even have peppy no’s like housefull..”—well, i personally find houseful songs anything special, not even v peppy— sample—” i dont know what to do “( on a suhaagraat)–now wat level of comedy is that–if someone find that comedic, well, all the best…
the “papa” song was equally listless. the only good song was the amitabh lifted songfrom lawaris. expected better from SEL…
must add– which has not been mentioned enuf—likedarjun rampals performance somehow—im straight but he looed really good in some shots. also jiah did well in the little scope she got. usually love boman irani like in 3I-but here he was damn irritating.
the max racist scene–when boman sees a black baby…lol
” I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the film did well or very well.”agree there satyam. infact i dont mind it works, esp when films like houseful and mnik (overseas) are doing (more than )decent business.
“he has certainly developed an attitude..now i just hope for hrithik’s sake dat this attitude is just dat and not arrogance!!!!” shiva —u can blame HR for many things like– doing too few films, the dhoom2 kiss(lol) etc but NOT arrogance.
if there is one star who seems level-headed inspite of his (big) success, it is HR. OK, he may have been more forthright recently and might (surely for me) indulged in some fun-n-games with mori– but again that is his personal stuff…In public life, he has NOT proclaimed repeatedly that he is the best/king;; or openly had relationships with 2 young girls whilst married having 2 grown-up kids or got caught with drugs/weapons or drunk-driving or killing chinkaras…hahaha
arrey..i m not throwing any brickbats..just telling my personal opinion..!! but..yayyyy!!! finally we disagree on something…ha ha!!
i m pretty sure this movie is gonna do well at the box office..i dont doubt hrithik’s stardom atall..just saying dat i dont really feel like watching it..
but after watching prince nd housefull in theatres..i guess never say never..!!
“after watching prince in theatres”mansi-lol-what made u do that. u asked 4 it. discussing viveks “resurgence ” on blog is1 thing- watching prince i thatre is another. hehe. so how wa the prince (s)experience. plz share ur wonderful exp with us…

The die is cast
We bet you are dying to know the climax of Kites…

Much as we’d like to claim that we hate revealing the end of Kites, fact is that we are absolutely delighted to be the news breakers and letting out the climax (no pun intended) of the Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori starrer.

Kites is set to hit the screens on May 21.

doubt this is the climax.. I think judging from the trailers Mori might well die at the midpoint and then Kangana is probably introduced.

Leaked climax of Kites is incorrect: Director

I don’t know if its been posted here but Shekhar Kapur on twitter says he’s seen the film and he really praises HR and Mori’s chemistry.
Shocked me. lol.
April 21, 2010 at 1:43 PM
April 21, 2010 at 2:46 PM
The Hrithik and Barbara affair rumours could indeed be true on some level. It would not surprise me. However I also must add that actors can hate each others guts offscreen, but go onto to share an explosive hot-molten chemistry onscreen. Good or hot chemistry between actors does not always mean the actors are messing about(fooling around). Most times its the opposite. LOL
April 21, 2010 at 2:50 PM
agreed Eire..
April 21, 2010 at 2:54 PM
i completely agree with you eire..chemistry is always an inherent part of d script nd d director’s vision..i firmly believe dat!!
i loved rani nd saif in hum tum 2gether nd i dont think they were on very good terms offscreen at dat point in time!!
May 2, 2010 at 9:54 AM
manoj kumar n mala sinha had great chemistry and were a ‘hit’ pauring but detested each other…apparently
April 21, 2010 at 3:23 PM
“Good or hot chemistry between actors does not always mean the actors are messing about(fooling around). ” Thanks Eire for educating us there!
Ooops, i always took it at face value-hahaha.
Its obvious- v good actors can put it up v well. But REAL chemistry just becomes obvious and distinct from the carefully skilfully put-up facade.
Anyhow, there is no way to prove /disprove what hritik-mori were actually up2 -including messing around- so no point there…
April 21, 2010 at 3:35 PM
but by dat logic every REAL couple should always have gr8 chemistry onscreen..which is not always d case!!

lol-whats hritik “looking for” in mori or trying to “unravel” in the top 2 pics-he is surely njoying himself there- gotto the “skin” of the character- dont blae him for striving fr “perfection” here!
whats up with kangana ini that inviting-in the waiting pose!
however-back to seriousness-the best for me is the one wiht bearded hritik in the forelorn look-reminds me somehow of tom hanks in castaway-anther favorite film…
May 2, 2010 at 11:44 PM
Latest trailer now indeed strikes resemblance of plot and storyline with 1990′s Hollywood movie-Revenge starring Kevin Costner and Madeleine Stowe…though villain does not appear as strong as Anthony Quinn but seems to have copied mannerisms etc.

hrithik interview from Rediff..

May 5, 2010 at 12:39 PM
yeah that intro’s idiotic but it contains a kernel of truth which is that Hrithik has slowed his own momentum in many ways and now it’s too late to pick it up again in the sense that he either needed to be the biggest blockbuster guy (as he once was and isn’t anymore) or else start the ‘alternative’ narrative earlier.

There are enough stills here to skip the movie! Hooray!
On a serious note. I am sure many are stuck on whether to watch the Hindi version of this film, or the English version. It’s a tough choice.

how can be so sure satyam??!! i always thought hrithik nd suzanne r very loyal to each other..nd look 2 be very much in love..!!
btw..does anyone else think..he is sounding a bit arrogant offlate??!! nd i hate it..infact i HATE it when an interviewee is chewing ..gum while giving an interview..looks SO WANNABE!!

dats wat i m saying..you weren’t. there in d bedroom…so how can u be so sure nd say dat it wasn’t a publicity gimmick!! dats unfair to hrithik!!!
May 13, 2010 at 1:26 PM
let’s say I have my reasons..
May 13, 2010 at 1:08 PM
The gossip queen herself Shobhaa De said the affair was real and not a publicity stunt.
Wonder what they gave Suzanne to get her to move back home and put up the front of being “best friends” with Mori? Hmm
May 13, 2010 at 1:23 PM
so u believe shobhaa de?!!
May 13, 2010 at 1:30 PM
Mansi, Shobhaa De is an insider and knows what is going on in her circle. I don’t like her but she is “friends” with these society ladies like Suzanne.
May 13, 2010 at 1:54 PM
alrite..!! but i m still not sure really abt. d authenticity of this news..coz even mori said dat suzanne is like her sister..which makes hrithik her jija ji..!! but if hrithik’s done dat..its unforgivable really!!!
May 13, 2010 at 11:55 AM
May 13, 2010 at 11:58 AM
not sure what the point of first shooting such a scene (which is in the international trailer) and then denying it is (unless this is a game of semantics and he really means that he doesn’t have a front shot!)?

May 13, 2010 at 12:54 PM
my sister..who is a big hrithik fan would have really gotten hurt if this was in d indian version..when hrithik did dat dhoom-2 kiss..she was like..” i cant imagine..dat hrithik has actually done this”..!! she got a bit offended actually..!! but i guess dats d mentality of a lot of ppl in india!!
May 13, 2010 at 3:33 PM
like the top 2 pics for different reasons. esp the top one. hritik reminds me of tom hanks in castaway in this bearded look.
he also will be a good “jesus christ” in the bearded avtaar — if ever attempted …lol
unlike many others here– i am looking forward to this one.
cant count out roshans in their home production.
the song “zindagi” illustrates how v good results can be obtained wihtout going into too much complexity —-keep it simple, melodious, honest and u wont go grosly wrong.
obviuosly , u wont get a rahmanesque album, but again-this song is quite a handful.
Another singer nowadays, seems to be a revelation to me. Rahat fateh ali khan– whatever song he sings nowadays –veer, even crap from de dana dan—becomes a pleasure.
May 13, 2010 at 3:40 PM
enjoyed the interaction bw HR and saif-srk at fimfare —where they asked HR –how high willl his kites fly—-HR replied that the kite will fly higher than kurbaan or billu did…
Inspite of many things going against it this time– still think it should be a winner..

May 13, 2010 at 9:03 PM
having said all of this (and this is something I’ve always maintained on this) I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the film did well or very well. This audience is capable of anything!
May 14, 2010 at 3:47 AM
its the barbara mori affect!!!
May 14, 2010 at 6:52 AM
sorry to say this….but for such a good looking guy..he sounds like a dumb person in the first part..nd in d second part..there is too much philosophy….
he has certainly developed an attitude..now i just hope for hrithik’s sake dat this attitude is just dat and not arrogance!!!!
May 14, 2010 at 8:53 PM
its as if he had written a script and adhering to all those keywords that you mentioned, makes for a very monotonous and uninteresting seeing. i always thought that hritik was very articulate but that was before the advent of ‘exposive’ interviews on TV. that perception is totally shattered now. he comes across as a bit insecure especially being aware of the huge cost the film has to recover to make it successful. i guess after the release we will have a whole lot of inflated figures to announce its hit status a la mink.
i was very keen on seeing the film but as jayshah says there are enough clips to get the concept of the whole movie and honestly i don’t see anything new. language barrier is not a new idea and all that hritik does has been done many times over. maybe the technique has been refined and fine tuned, but thats about it.

read this yesterday..no matter how many good reviews nd no. of stars this movie gets..nothing is inspiring me to go for this movie!! it doesn’t even have peppy no’s like housefull..
May 16, 2010 at 1:57 PM
mansi-disagree there.
May 16, 2010 at 2:10 PM
May 16, 2010 at 2:17 PM
arrey..i m not throwing any brickbats..just telling my personal opinion..!! but..yayyyy!!! finally we disagree on something…ha ha!!
i m pretty sure this movie is gonna do well at the box office..i dont doubt hrithik’s stardom atall..just saying dat i dont really feel like watching it..
but after watching prince nd housefull in theatres..i guess never say never..!!
May 16, 2010 at 4:50 PM
