It’s learnt that Vidhu Vinod Chopra has finalised Nicolas Cage for his film Broken Horses. The movie will go on the floors early next year.
“Vidhu is currently in Los Angeles, working on for Broken Horses. Even in Mumbai, he was in touch with his Hollywood contacts for the cast and crew. Cage has been confirmed for one of the leading roles just a few days ago,” says our source.
Reportedly, Mickey Rourke has also been approached for an important role in the gangster film that Chopra is producing in association with Reliance Big Pictures. Apparently, Broken Horses is inspired by the filmmaker’s Parinda, starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit.

he is no doubt an actor of some prominence, but has never appealed to me in any way….
there was talk of bachchan in broken horses as well—when vidhu used to talk about it a couple of years back—not sure post 3I, is bachchan still part of his mix.
feel that vidhu has praised and complimented bachchan to the point of sycophancy, even after eklavyas dismal showing.
However, bachchan appears to be less than impressed by vidhu, who he finds a bit eccenteric–my reading….
this was the time when bachchan found ramesh sharmas “dil jo bhi kahe” and other crap worthwhile….

not sure about the “parinda” angle though in this movie…
For all its reputation, did not find it that great!
Infact all of vidhus DIRECTED films have major flaws–but i will still take them over many other crap made nowadays.
Out of all his flawed films, liked 1942 (when it was released–majorly due to the music) and aspects of eklavya.

use your commonsense people at your age at 15 dont like amitabh but people at my age do like him and thats why he is getting tv shows and films and to refresh your memory he is still getting best actor award for paa 2010 and black 2005,just because you are 15 does not mean the whole world is 15….Amitabh is legend and whole groups of age luv him so go and watch film-fare awards and remember who got the best award of best actor 2010,no it was not jeetendra,no it was not shatru and yes it was not mithun but the one and only Amitabh ,the bbc named him “the star if the millinium”…
