SRK in Krrish 2 after Hrithik in Don 2?
LINK

Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan have been bonding big time for a while now. Their personal rapport is likely to extend to a professional level as well. King Khan has been offered a role in the Roshans’ home production Krrish 2.
Says a source, “Shah Rukh and Hrithik are the best of pals in the industry today. It was but natural for Roshan Sr to etch a role in his son’s flick for his buddy as well. SRK’s character in the film will have shades of gray to it.”
Adds the source, “The Roshans have already sounded Khan off about having him in their project. And he has told them that he can be available only after the release of his production Ra.One.”
The sequel to Rakesh Roshan’s 2006 flick has been in the pipeline for a while. After the debacle of Kites and Guzaarish, papa Roshan has taken it upon himself to ensure that his son’s career gets back on track.
And considering that Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish did well at the B-O, it is time Duggu wore his superhero cape to create magic again on screen.
Buzz is that Deepika Padukone has been finalised for Krissh 2.
Roshan Sr however maintains, “We have not yet finalised the cast for Krrish 2. We are still working on the script after which I will begin casting. Presently I am out of the country.”
The last time SRK and Hrithik came together on screen was in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001).
Gehri Dosti
If there was any animosity between Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan (during Koi Mila Gaya and later during the Krazzy 4 song controversy), it is ancient history now. Roshan Jr has now become a permanent name on that exclusive list of invitees to Mannat. He and wife Sussanne have been at all parties at King Khan’s home and vice versa. Both stars have been catching up on each other often despite their busy schedules. The friendship between wives Gauri and Sussanne also brought them more closer.
FACT
When Krrish had released, Hrithik had a special screening for Shah Rukh so he could get a frank opinion from him.

Hope this happens…Don’t think we cine goers are fortunate enough to see big stars coming together now a days……Aamir/SRK or SRK/Salman don’t seems to be possible ever… At least SRK-Hrithik should happen…
Rakesh Roshan prob the only director from old generation who is still giving block busters…All others have vanished….Koi mil gaya was very good, krishh was ok…but in terms of technology or special effects what he has dared/achieved definitely deserves applause…No other bollywood director has achieved 1% of this in this area. Even telugu and tamil films industry have given brilliant movies like Magadheera and Robot.

Hrithik says he was subtle in Kites!! Yikes!
December 30, 2010 at 2:34 PM
At least Papa Roshan has realised after Kites disaster that the next Filmkraft installation will need a sale-able star to make a hit movie.
Farhan has given hrithik a 2 min cameo in Don in exchange for doing his production’s next multistarrer (called Zindagi mil gaya or something). But SRK is getting the ‘Joker’ deal in order to sustain Roshan’s retarded Krrish franchise.
December 31, 2010 at 6:18 AM
oh really. Last time I knew Krissh outgrossed Don (SRK) by several 10s of crores. In fact Don just about made it to hit status in BOI’s books and how do you know that Hrithik only has a two minute cameo in Don2. MNIK is a disputable success. Actually it is a loss making vehicle in India so how can you be sure that SRK is the most saleable star. Last I knew it was Salman whose Dabang did a historic 150 crores and Aamir’s did 200 crores. Does SRK have a single 100 crore grosser in his lifetime?
I do buy your verdict on SRK being most saleable overseas, but in India he is not all that ahead of Hrithik or Akshay.
December 31, 2010 at 6:37 AM
what I meant to say is that Krissh being a much being bigger success is a more dependable franchise for a sequel than a film which was a plain vanilla copy of an original and was just about a reasonable success. Hence it is a bit dubious to say that SRK will not benefit as much from a Krissh sequel as much as the Roshans would.
December 31, 2010 at 8:30 PM
If I am not mistaken the srk flop this year did 70 cr in India while Hrithik flop did only 50 cr. Also losses for MNIK ws nowhere as big as Kites.
Actually Salman should be a good option for Krisssh , though his track record as a saleable star maybe disputable.
January 1, 2011 at 8:14 AM
But a flop is a flop so a saleable star per se should be able to give good returns on invetsment to it’s distributors which neither SRK in MNIK did nor Hrithik in Kites, the difference in quantum of loss no withstanding. If you feel that a star is as good as his last vehicle then both of them have flops in hand. Actually Naseer was a fantastic choice as a villian in Krissh. Don’t see why RR has turn to SRK or Salman? Both of them in my view will fall short of Naseer’s calibre.
January 1, 2011 at 11:29 AM
@julie agreed on ur first aprt loss maker is a loss maker.. but than u know how this things are analysed! as if a joke!
on Naseer – i guess pure reason is BOX OFFICE.. a naseer as a villain and a srk or other star provisdes that ultimate clash where fans of both actors come especially when its a sequel.. so both would co produce and mint money and fans would say ohg that was great performance clearly ignoring naseer’s performance sadly!!
ps- a happy new year!

Apparently this is SRK’s Don 2 look:
February 17, 2011 at 8:43 AM
Hope for his sake this is not the look for the entire film. Looks a bit like a vampire here. SRK has just never stopped looking gaunt since his OSO days when he just lost too much weight to work out. Having said that not all faces age the same way. His look was great in CDI and suited him as well. Not saying he can do this for every film but I do think that with all this Don 2/Ra 1 stuff he is going off the deep end a bit. Just don’t think the effort that goes into these films justifies the returns commercially (unless something surprising happens) or artistically or (and most importantly) as a matter of enhancing SRK’s brandname.
February 17, 2011 at 8:47 AM
From some earlier images from sets of DON-2, his looks was else. So definitely he is not carrying this look in entire movie.

He is looking good here. In theTV show Khalk.. and recent pres conferences, he is pale and turning like Michael Jackson. Dil To Pagal Hi charm is lost that’s what his main strenth was.

“Don 2 follows SRK’s character into a different adventure” – Farhan
By Subhash K. Jha, February 19, 2011 – 11:25 IST
Farhan Akhtar Lately away from media focus, actor-director-singer-producer Farhan Akhtar speaks to Subhash K Jha
How has life been lately?
Hectic. Everything is going great. 2010 just swished by. It was an exhausting year. I am hoping that all the hard work pays off this year. Fortunately, my wife and daughters could join me during my long schedules in Spain (for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara) and Berlin (Don 2).
Do you get to spend enough time with your daughters?
How do you define ‘enough’? They’re happy children. The older one is a lot aware of what I do. She has begun to understand what I do. As of now she’s more reactive to the music in my cinema. Even the younger one loves the Rock On music. Now both my daughters are into the music of Zoya’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD).
How was the long first schedule of Don 2-The Chase Continues in Berlin?
I haven’t really figured out the full title. As of now it’s just Don 2. It follows Shah Rukh’s character into a different adventure. Yes, the character has grown.
Will there be a Don 3?
Yes, why not? Let’s see. I do enjoy making Don. Right now I’m just happy creating a whole new story for this character. It’s a big challenge for me. We are 60 percent done with Don.
Is it more action-oriented than the first Don?
I don’t know how to answer that. There was action in that one, there’s action in this one. I hate saying things like, ‘You’ve never seen anything like this before.’ Yeah there are action sequences where Don being Don is up to no good.
What was you equation like with Shah Rukh this time?
I feel in terms of his real-life personality Don, suits Shah Rukh to the hilt. In real life too there’s a certain flamboyance and magnetism about Shah Rukh. He brings these qualities effortlessly to the part. Also, like me, he has great respect and love for the original Don (featuring Amitabh Bachchan). At the same time he gives the character his own spin. In the second Don we’ve taken some of the essence of what Shah Rukh did in the first Don. But we’ve also given him some new things to do.
Farhan Akhtar You wear so many hats. Are comfortable with all your roles?
I guess. I’ve no regrets about any of my roles. It’s been more than two years since my acting debut in Rock On. Its impact lingers. However, I genuinely feel my dad (Javed Akhtar) did not get enough credit for the lyrics he wrote in Rock On. After such a long time these were songs that were so non-situational. Without any reference point he wrote lyrics that were so contagious and identifiable…Of course everyone loved the music of Rock On. But my dad’s calibre of writing in the songs didn’t get its due.
In 2010 you were directed by your sister Zoya in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD). How was the experience?
Yeah, all of us-Zoya, Hrithik, Abhay, Katrina, Kalki and me…became this little commune travelling across Spain. We travelled a lot. Spain has everything from beaches to mountains. So far only Bollywood songs have been shot in Spain. There’s a serious change in topography as you drive through. The important thing was for us to look like we belong to one group
All of you do look very Hispanic?
(Thinks) Come to think of it we do have a similar skin-tone and hair. And the Spanish crew was wonderful. What’s most important is that we were working with like-minded people. We made sure every scene was fun. Abhay, Hrithik and I spent a lot of time together. We really had some serious fun. Hrithik I knew for a long time. Abhay I got to know during this film. He’s a very cool guy.
ZNMD looks like the last part of your trilogy on male bonding after Dil Chahta Hai and Rock On?
Funny, you say that. And why the last? No, I don’t have any major fascination with cinema on male bonding. Dil Chahta Hai is the only script I wrote on the theme. Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) wrote Rock On a fab script about a rock band. Zoya’s script for ZNMD is about three guys on the verge of making commitments in life.
Farhan Akhtar Don’t you think Abhishek Kapoor and Zoya were influenced by Dil Chahta Hai?
They never told me. I never asked them. I know both liked Dil Chahta Hai very much.
How was it being directing by your sister a second time?
In Zoya’s Luck By Chance I was a sneaky social climber. In ZNMD it’s a sea-change. I play this guy who for the longest time takes nothing seriously. I am not even rich and I don’t pretend to be. I’m just happy being the way I am. I got to just let my hair down. Many moments in this film gave me a chance to have lots of fun. After Rock On, Luck By Chance and Kartik Calling Kartik which were all serious angst-laden characters in ZNMD I play a fun character.
So you had fun doing the film?
Not just me. All of us. It was the nature of the script. There was so much improvisation. There was only so much that could be put on paper. So yeah we did improvise. We participated in the Tomatino festival in Spain.
And a bull fight?
Let me clarify that once and for all. There’s no bullfight in ZNMD. We had animal-rights organizations questioning us about it. We sent them a letter saying there was no such thing. We did participate in a Running With The Bulls festival. No bulls got injured in that. We shot it in a completely controlled environment. We plan to release it at the end of May.
Reema Kagti’s film starring Aamir Khan which you are producing must be very expensive considering Mr Khan doesn’t come cheap?
No it’s not that expensive. It’s a very straightforward thriller. It doesn’t demand an expensive treatment. The final cast is Aamir, Kareena and Rani. And we have a host of other good actors in other roles
What about your singing?
All three of us Hrithik, Abhay and I, have sung in ZNMD. It’s a party situation. It seemed interesting to lend our own voices to our characters. It’s turned out really really well. I am very excited. That’s the only song I’ve sung in a movie this year. Otherwise I am constantly singing in real life. I was singing before this interview. I’ll be singing after we’re done.
Farhan Akhtar If that’s a hint I am not taking it.
(Laughs) Seriously I enjoy singing, though I haven’t sung for anyone else on screen apart from myself.
Why not? You get so many offers including one from A R Rahman.
It’s not because I am possessive about my voice. I don’t know if my voice will work on anyone else. I feel my singing adds to my performances. I don’t know if it would add to other actors’ performances. In Kartik Calling Kartik I didn’t see my singing adding to my character, so I didn’t. If I feel really kicked about singing for someone else, I will. Singing is not a profession for me. As of now I’ll sing only for myself.
Do you also look into the individual productions that emerge from your banner, or do you leave that to your partner Ritesh Sidhwani?
Ritesh deals with the day-to-day decisions. But the larger decisions, we sit and discuss. Our formula for success? To focus relentlessly on telling a good story. To me that’s really important. People remember a good story. Filmmaking begins for me with finding a good story.

Shah Rukh Khan in prison!
Here’s looking at the Don in a Malaysian jail
The long hands of the law have finally caught up and landed the most wanted man in prison. Here’s a first look at Shah Rukh Khan in the Malaysia schedule of Don 2.
The star has been currently filming for the sequel in Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi.

Shah Rukh Khan shooting for Don 2 in Malaysia
Says a unit source, “The sequences being filmed have the cops tail him and arrest the Don. This has left his folks bewildered as they firmly believed in his dictum: “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkim hai.”
Ace up his sleeve?
Adds the source, “Obviously, there is an ace up his sleeve because the Don has already masterminded a prison break.”
SRK who shot with several local Malaysian artistes had to indulge in a lot of physically taxing sequences.
He had to take on the inmates of the jail those who dared to question how he landed up behind the high walls.
King Khan is joined by co-stars Priyanka Chopra and Boman Irani for the schedule.
The star, who sports a special hairdo for his jail sequence, has been getting muddy and dirty as he packs punches with the inmates.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar (who is also directing the flick), the movie is slated for a December release.
February 21, 2011 at 12:37 AM
Not sure how long he will have this look in the film but he looks miserable. We are now far far far from any notion of a suave Don!
February 21, 2011 at 4:04 AM
I saw this pic and some more pic with this look in some other blog..Looks good to me….
“Don ko pakadna muskil hi….” …but now DON is in jail…
February 21, 2011 at 4:41 AM
should have suited him well but its simply not happening.. I guess the steroids he took for the item song in OSO have affected him badly. Farah Khan the miserable has ruined SRK
February 21, 2011 at 6:51 AM
I think he looks very good. Very menacing, and err… evil too.
Come on satyam!! Of course he won’t look suave in jail.
and I keep wondering why people criticize his leanness. They may prefer plump, baby- faced men, but I think his look is great.
February 21, 2011 at 6:56 AM
You can’t forgive him for doing Don, can you.
I worry for poor hapless Hrithik, him being involved in a remake too, that too by KJO!! LOL!
February 21, 2011 at 7:27 AM
“They may prefer plump, baby- faced men, but I think his look is great.”
good one…
“I worry for poor hapless Hrithik, him being involved in a remake too, that too by KJO!! LOL!”
LOL….that too a film which should have gone to the legacy holder…
February 21, 2011 at 8:14 AM
actually the way Agneepath is shaping up it has forced me to take back all my words. This film is going to be quite a turkey. Even if it does alright or better (and with this debased audience anything is possible) I wouldn’t want the ‘legatee’ to touch this with a bargepole. I was quite wrong earlier! Because I underestimated the depths to which Johar could sink.
February 21, 2011 at 8:19 AM
LOL! It’s already starting
February 21, 2011 at 8:19 AM
Actually he’s cheered me up greatly with this look. Because now it’s a whole new mess altogether. Much as the Agneepath remake though many of the decisions being made appall me at least has the virtue that no one could possibly take it seriously!
The thing is it’s one thing for one’s favorite star to do a film which doesn’t look promising at all but which doesn’t carry any baggage otherwise and which one might hope for to do well. So for example I don’t look at Game and think this is a fantastic cutting edge film which is going to be entertainer of the year. If it’s passable enough for the genre and if it does reasonably given Abhishek’s been in trouble for a while I’d be pleased. But this is a low bar. However if Abhishek went ahead and did a Kaala Pathar remake I’d have a very different take. Yesterday there was the rumor that the Rohit Shetty film might be a Golmaal remake. I don’t quite believe it but even the thought left me a little disgusted! Because I consider this the greatest comedy of Hindi cinema and generally a film that should not be touched. I criticize SRK or Hrithik for taking on very iconic Bachchan parts, here I would be appalled if Abhishek touched Amol Palekar! So I am consistent in these matters even if people seem not to care! On the other hand I don’t particularly mind anyone remaking Satte Pe Satta. Sure Bachchan is always untouchable but this film is hardly Trishul!
I think that even as one has favorites one ought not to blindly follow a star in every dark alley of his decision-making!
February 21, 2011 at 8:18 AM
Oh he looks menacing alright. He just doesn’t look like Don at all!
As for the lean look it’s not just about this but the fact that his face has started looking gaunt since OSO. What happens is that after a certain age if you lose weight drastically you run into this problem sometimes. Now of course different faces age differently. It might not be just that. But he’s looked physically very worn out for a while barring of course CDI where the look really suited him.
here he looks less like Don in any sense and more like a gang-leader from South Central LA or something!
February 21, 2011 at 8:35 AM
Well i’m not sure that even Don would remain suave, fresh and clean in a crappy prison. So it’s a bit exagerated to ask to SRK to look just like that when he can’t !
February 21, 2011 at 8:44 AM
Oh and i’ll add that it’s more credible : the reason why guys doesn’t like to look too “good looking” in jail is because pretty boys… got rape
February 21, 2011 at 8:46 AM
I guess ‘realism’ is the reason then!
February 21, 2011 at 11:21 AM
“What happens is that after a certain age if you lose weight drastically you run into this problem sometimes.”
Agree. I think it was Catherine Deneuve who said that as a woman ages she has to choose between her body and her face. As we can see from SRK that applies to men as well.
I think they should title the movie – Don 2: SRK The Cadaver.
February 21, 2011 at 11:26 AM
It is unbelievable to see many people liked this look from other forums.
February 21, 2011 at 8:40 AM
Can’t wait to see this Don 2, at least Faran got the opportunity to make his own film now. Let’s see how it works.

Beauty becomes beast for Krissh 3
Chitrangda Singh has bagged a role of a sexy female mutant in the Hrithik Roshan starrer
Subhash K Jha
Posted On Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 03:19:23 AM
Chitrangda Singh is surely going places. And by that we don’t just mean London, where she was shooting Rohit Dhawan’s Desi Boyz recently.
The dusky damsel has been signed as Bollywood’s first female mutant, yes, that’s right, opposite Hrithik Roshan in the much talked about Krissh 3.
The actress from Delhi, who first got noticed in Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in 2003, has come a long way since then.
Apart from her earthy beauty, which made her an overnight sensation, her off-beat roles have been much acclaimed.
Chitrangda, who landed in Delhi after her London shoot, on Sunday night, was expected to rush to Mumbai this week and finalise her clothes, hair, look and even language for the mutant’s role in the Rakesh Roshan film.
Apparently Chitrangda’s transformation will be so drastic that even she will find it hard to recognise herself.
A source close to the project confirms, “There are two leading ladies in the film. Priyanka Chopra, who starred opposite Hrithik in Krissh (2006), will be back in the same role. The other major female protagonist will be played by Chitrangda.
They needed someone who could look earthy and ethereal. Both Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan decided Chitrangda was the best bet for the part of the sizzling female mutant.”
Apparently Rakesh Roshan decided on Chitrangda, after seeing her in Sudhir Mishra’s Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011).
When contacted, Chitrangda said, “I’m really not allowed to talk about this. I’ve just returned from shooting Desi Boyz in London.
I got to do some serious Bollywood dancing for the first time. Akshay Kumar really helped me with my steps.
I am surprised at how much he understands cinema. I wouldn’t be surprised if he turns director soon.”
Well, we are sure, there’s more of serious mainstream Bollywood coming her way soon. And with Hrithik Roshan in Krissh 3, she’d get to do more of Bollywood dancing than before.

Ajay Devgan to play a villain in ‘Krrish 2’
Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan has been offered to play the role of a villain which he has never done before. Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has offered him the role for ‘Krrish2’. Both the filmmaker and the actor were keen to work together for a long time but things did not work out before.
An insider reveals about the role, “an ultra cool, stylish persona with gray shades intelligent, edgy, witty, smart and evil something along the lines of the Joker’s character in Batman series” and is “in complete contrast to anything he has done before.”
Not only Rakesh Roshan but his son and handsome hunk Hrithik Roshan also wants Ajay to play the role. Ajay has not signed the dotted lines but was giving a serious thought on the project.
“It’s a fabulous role and in films like this one and the Dhoom series, the grey roles get more buzz and interest than the hero’s role. A few details are being worked out”, said the actor.
March 28, 2011 at 6:40 PM
Not sure how many of these rumors are true but it’s quite clear that they’re feeling the pressure to come up with another massive blockbuster and yet to also outdo everything else in sight from Dhoom to Ra 1 to Robot to whatever. This would be a mistake though. The thing about Krrish was that it precisely did not get too ambitious. Trying to do ‘too much’ always kills the spontaneity. Then again you get the biggest initial possible and even with much poorer trending than the older films the claim of ‘bigger grosser’ can be advanced.

Vivek to play villain in Krrish 3
The actor, long in hibernation, steps out to play the antagonist to Hrithik Roshan’s super-hero
Kunal M Shah
Posted On Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at 04:41:03 AM
Vivek Oberoi might have been keeping a low profile of late, but he is soon going to surface in the much-awaited Krrish 3. Yes, the actor has landed the coveted negative role in Rakesh Roshan’s next.
Our source confirmed, “Rakesh Roshan has not directed a single film in the last five years.
Initially, he was keen to have an outside director and had even approached Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to direct the film.
However, the filmmaker later decided to take charge himself. And he wanted a strong character to play the negative lead.
There were various names being considered including the likes of Shah Rukh Khan. But Vivek Oberoi has bagged the role.
The role has been kept under wraps as the dialogues of the film are still being penned, though the screenplay is ready.”
The source further added, “There have been various rumours floating in the industry about the casting of the film.
The fact is that none of them have been signed yet. Talks are still on with a lot of actors as the film is scheduled to go on the floors in October this year.”
According to the source the initial talks have already taken place with Vivek, but he is yet to sign on the dotted lines. In spite of repeated attempts, both Vivek Oberoi and Rakesh Roshan remained unavailable for comments.
If all goes well, Vivek might see his career graph surge forward for the better.
April 11, 2011 at 8:14 PM
this is a poor choice if true. There was a rumor that the role had been offered to Devgan but he didn’t accept it (hardly surprising!). But Viveik is not an adequate counter-weight.
April 11, 2011 at 8:31 PM
Forget Vivek, Chitrangadha Singh as villain is the best Bollywood news I’ve heard in a long time
I hope the Roshans don’t give her some idiotic role where she will be constantly demeaned by the hero, like Priyanka Chopra in Don and I will also be very angry if they just make her do one item number as ‘the sexy mutant’ or something and then disappear. She’ll be fabulous as a strong opponent to Hrithik. But somehow the idea of her as a mutant seems bizarre. And the last thing I want is tacky ‘mutant’ special effects onChitrangahda. Couldn’t they have come up with something more original?
But with PC, Hrithik and Chitrangadha, this film is definitely going to be one of the most beautiful Bollywood ensemble casts, for both genders. Poor Vivek will be out of place
Someone like Kunal Kapoor or Arunoday Singh or Rana Daggubati would have been a much better choice.

Krrish 3?
Did I miss Krrish 2?
April 12, 2011 at 12:52 AM
yeah it was supposed to be Krrish 2 but the recent news stories have all had it as Krrish 3.
April 12, 2011 at 7:17 AM
Rakesh Roshan has offered Dum Maaro Dum actor Rana Dagubatti the negative role in the sequel to Krrish.

What a coincidence
I really hopes this works out. I would much rather see Rana than Vivek/ Ajay. Rana + Chitrangadha will make me very, very happy.
April 12, 2011 at 7:54 AM
Rana would definitely be better than Viveik.. not sure if it would be a good move for him otherwise.

* “The film will start in Mumbai this December,” Rakesh Roshan clarifies. “In January, February and March I am going to shoot in Hyderabad. April, May and June will once again be in Mumbai. After small cuts in July and August, we will go to Switzerland in October 2012 for 8 to 10 days.”
* Release date locked by Rakesh Roshan: November 1, 2013, on Diwali day. “It will definitely come on Diwali. Usually I release my films either in January or June. This time I have planned a Diwali release. Even if the movie is ready, I will wait until Diwali to release Krrish 3.”
* Krrish 3 will be a Hindi, Indian film, no doubts about that. No Spanish, French or English. “But I’m going to have my film dubbed in Tamil and Telugu for sure.”
* What will be international will be the action with Tony Ching once again teaming with the Roshans. “Tony was offered a lot of films from India but he didn’t work with anybody else. When I went to him again, he said, I am going to do only your film.”
* This time Hrithik does not have to undergo rigorous training. “He got trained during Krrish, so there is no need for anymore of it this time.”
“Krrish 3 will definitely be released on Diwali day, 2013!”
* But Hrithik’s opponent in the film, Vivek Oberoi will be trained here in India for the action scenes. No, he doesn’t have to learn to pilot an aircraft (contrary to reports) since a lot of it will be done digitally.
* Hrithik, Priyanka, Jacqueline and Vivek have been cast in Krrish 3. For the first time, the Roshans have another hero in their film because, “We needed a strong opponent and Vivek is a fantastic actor.”
* And, contrary to reports that BKC was being re-created at Ramoji, “I’m making streets in Ramoji Film City because you can’t shoot on Mumbai streets. The outdoor portions are all on streets, so I am making big, huge sets over there at Ramoji.”
* Krrish 3 has a 90 per cent chance of being converted into 3D. “We will shoot in 2D and take a call in 2013, depending on how 3D works two years from now.”
* Krrish 3 has already broken all records in its selling price: reportedly, an astronomical `37 crore for just the satellite rights with Rakesh Roshan selling each territory to different distributors (not selling the film outright to one corporate house) and making a pile in the bargain. “I went for only Kites to a corporate house. Otherwise I have always given my films to my regular distributors. When they heard that I was making Krrish 3, they called me and said, we are with you and I was okay with that.”
* Reputed to be as sharp a businessman as he is creatively gifted, Roshan has not sold all the major territories. He’s still got a couple of big sales to make and he is spoilt for choice as the takers are many. This, despite Krrish 3 asking for a price which no distributor has ever paid for a Hindi film so far. But Rakesh Roshan has priced his film keeping in mind that Krrish 3 will be a 2013 release when rates will be vastly different from prevailing figures.

For all his predictability and “non happening” sensibilities, Rakesh roshan knows the core “Bollywood audience” well and is adept at “indianising” themes
Haven’t read this long passage but its near time Hritik Roshan reclaims his rightful place (@/among the top)
Have a certain liking towards Hritik roshan –& still find him heads n shoulders above all the newcomers .
though ranbir has certain made tremendous advances with rockstar, if there is a solo hero who in his day and chosen genre can trump/ has trumped any star (including khans) –it is Hritik roshan

Vickey Lalwani

The Krrish sequel will not only see Hrithik Roshan playing more than one role on screen, but also a special role behind the camera. The actor who had started off his career in Bollywood assisting his father, Rakesh Roshan with films like Koyla and Karan Arjun, will be turning associate director with the next Filmkraft venture. Director Rakesh Roshan confirmed the news and added, “Hrithik always helps me out whenever we work together.”
Hrithik Roshan, who will not be a part of the first schedule of his ambitious home production Krrish 3, has decided not to sit at home. Along with his father Rakesh Roshan, the actor has decided to help with the direction.
On the sets of the film that started rolling on December 1 at Filmistan Studios, Hrithik has been calling the shots and taking creative decisions alongside papa Roshan.
After the first schedule of Krrish 3 with Vivek Oberoi, Kangna Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra is over, Hrithik will join the cast in front of the camera as well. The actor, who has been suffering from back problems, is fast recovering. Roshans have flown down a physiotherapist and a lady nutritionist from abroad for the same.

Hrithik Roshan to unmask the real Shah Rukh Khan?

While we all know Hrithik Roshan is doing a cameo in Don 2, rumours about his character in the Shah Rukh Khan film are already doing the rounds.
Hrithik Roshan doing a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Don 2 is old news now. A year-old to be precise! What he is playing in the film makes for a better scoop. Though both Hrithik and Shah Rukh are superstars in their own right, one wonders what scope would Hrithik have in a franchise that belongs completely to Shah Rukh.
Though the makers wanted Hrithik’s presence in the film as a surprise, the news leaked last year when the actor went to Berlin where Shah Rukh Khan was shooting for Don 2. Initially everyone thought Hrithik went to wish SRK on his birthday but he was soon caught on camera shooting for the film. Some versions suggested he was the villain in Don 2 while others claimed it was a good idea to get the star power of Hrithik and Shah Rukh together in the same frame, which never happened since Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum.
However if recent rumours are to be believed, Hrithik and Shah Rukh are no different in Don 2. Sources suggest that the Hrithik Roshan you will get to see in Don 2 will pull off his face mask after a point and Shah Rukh will emerge from within. So it is actually the Don in Hrithik Roshan’s guise who is ‘undercover’. The makers will choose to remain tight-lipped about this though.
A similar story had originated close to the release of Dhoom 2 where it was rumoured that in the climax Hrithik Roshan (once again) would pull off his face mask and John Abraham (who was the villain of the first part) would emerge from within. While we all know it just turned out to be a rumour, let’s wait and watch how true of false is this one.
