2011: Bachchan Legacy Reinvented?
2011 was an interesting year for the Bachchan’s and while not all their films lived up to boxoffice expectations, they had a solid line-up between Father-Son-Bahu.
Amitabh’s PAA success at the tail-end of 2009 didn’t carry over to Ram Gopal Varma’s much publicized RANN which despite being a good film, didn’t find many takers.
Leena Yadav’s TEEN PATTI didn’t do much critically or otherwise despite the presence of Ben Kingsley and Madhavan with Bachchan. His much delayed JOHNNY MASTANA aka SHOEBITE with the director of YAHAAN is still to release. There was no movement with the VVC front with TALISMAAN or any other film.
