  1. Cool! If Abbas-Mustaan were directing this it would be a certain winner. Deo remains the wild card but I think the trailer does the trick. Abhishek in this sort of ‘avatar’ after quite a while (even the Bond posture at the end..LOL!). The other question mark here is the soundtrack. Not sure who’s doing it but this sort of film needs at least one hit song. Incidentally I’m surprised the trailer has been screened so early given the film is supposed to release in March. Rather unusual. Wonder if it’s been pushed up. Either way this trailer is the best thing for ABhishek post-KHJJS!

This movie will be releasing right smack in the middle of the world cup…that too being hosted by India. Very bold move that could backfire big time. I doubt any other big movie is releasing during the WC.

    • yeah that’s the one risky thing here.. interesting they’ve decided to release Game at this time and the Zoya Akhtar film the following month after the WC. Eros have a package deal for both. The only film I can think of that worked very well even in the midst of a World Cup was Biwi No 1. In fairness not many have released major films during this period anyway. But the profusion of satellite and cable TV since Biwi No 1 is vastly greater. All in all it would be smarter I think to avoid this. Specially if India make it deep into the tournament this could be tricky. Not that this can ever be the difference between a hit and a flop but you need to maximize initial with this kind of genre.

      • thecooldude Says:

Yeah…BIWI NO. 1 is the only one that comes to my mind as well. Vashu Bhagnani took a big gamble and it worked big time. The difference this time though is that a )India is hosting the WC and b) will almost def. be the fav. to win it. I don’t see any shot where they don’t make it at leaset the Semis. Another thing is that BIWI No. 1 had a friendlier Comedy genre along with Salman in his peek at that time. Now we have an actor who can’t get a hit even if his life depended on it with a new director. The music really will play a big role here.

      • satyam- india making deep into tournament?

dude india is winning it imo.

and not for indian pov, sachin needs to finally do it… or history would always have this black spot.. i feel. he needs to win and deliever here in any manner possible..

        • thecooldude Says:

WC is the only thing that reamins for Sachin! This will be his final one and what could be a better ending then winning the final in front of his home crowd (imagine if it’s against Pakistan!). The country would go into an absolute frenzy.

          • agreed cool dude.. and for me.. its his only criticism the one that makes winner on the day that matters.. nothing to take away from him but this indeed has to be indian teams and sachins holy grail.. after kapil’s devils

          • yeah hope he gets it..

        • I don’t agree it’s a black spot.. he can’t win it single-handedly..

        • Rooney: No host has ever won the world cup. India will have to be the first; and while the pitches are suited to India’s style of play, India hasn’t been a particularly impressive LIMITED OVERS team for the last couple of years (it has been a much better test team). So I hope and pray India win, but it’s a tall order.

  3. thecooldude Says:

Imagine an India Pakistan final in Mumbai…

    a) Sachin going for it in front of his home folks
    b) Pakistan..with all their recent trouble with betting..playing the final in the cricket betting capital of the world :-)
    c) Both countries have shooting for their 2nd title
    d) Shiv Sena will almost certainly issue a threat to Pakistani team.

    • I think the Shiv Sena has already said that it will not do anything if Pak makes it to the final. Consistency has never been the Sena’s forte, except that it is consistently disgusting.

    • AamirsFan Says:

itll be a miracle if Pakistan makes it into the semi finals let alone the finals. no leadership..no accountability…its a corrupt board. but yes it would be great to see a PAK vs. IND finals.

  4. nope not a safe film

    1. hes not a centre character
    2. hes not doing investigation
    3. the movie seems combination of many.. might end up a khichdi of all..
    4. unproven director, and now that DELLY BELLY is SHELVED.. acc to rumours.. doubts increase imo
    5. kangana alone impresses and has meaty dialogues.

far from safe- my verdict- average at best.. it wont open because of abhis past flick.. might struggle

  5. the music here is by SEL:

  6. Abhishek & Jimmy Shergil! At least it’ll be watchable because of these two gents…

  7. @all – offtopic, did anyone saw the match yday?
Pathan decalred himself for world cup and it helps world cup is in india.. as he cant be tortured with short deliveries.

96 ball 123* and some out of the ground 6′s he hits thm as if it child play!

    • If I was a reporter, this would be my headline:

Sighted — the incredible hulk, with a cricket bat in Bangalore.

  8. The film looks interesting but nothing further can be said.
Teen Patti looked very interesting from the promo but turned out to be damp squib.
    Hope it works.

  9. Oh, NO!!
Too much of blood splattering around in Rakt charitra mode.
That with a gun toting moll in a James Bond style set up is not any less risky than previous ABjr films.

  10. Abhishek looks great, although, based on what I can gather of the plot from the trailer, this is the kind of film that could go horribly wrong — a lot of directors come up with a cool-sounding, brainy concept, but fall flat when it comes to the script (see Kidnap, Teen Patti). With Excel backing this I certainly expect a better film, though, if too Hollywood for my tastes…

  11. First look promo of Game to be showcased with No Problem

Game Eros International Media Ltd (Eros International), India’s largest integrated film studio will showcase the first look promo of Excel Entertainment’s forthcoming film – Abhinay Deo’s Game across screens worldwide with Anees Bazmee’s No Problem on 10 December 2010. Game, a whodunit with twists and turns stars Abhishek Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Sarah Jane Dias, Jimmy Shergill, Shahana Goswami, Gauhar Khan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher. The film, a slick edge-of-the-seat thriller has been directed by Abhinay Deo and has dialogues by Farhan Akhtar and Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani. The trailer is sure to evoke a positive response and will raise the excitement quotient among thriller film fans, audiences and industry alike. The trailer will be showcased along with No Problem across 1,200 plus screens worldwide across digital and analogue prints. Game is slated to release worldwide on 18 March 2011.

  12. Hmm.. a murder mystery! Thats interesting. wonder why big banners dont invest much in this genre.
since farhan is backing it, i may have some high expectations later

    • This is the old Christie kind of plot.. (And then there were none).. but I’m also reasonably sure this sort of thing has been done in Hollywood.. just can’t place my finger on it.. As for why big banners don’t invest in this genre these sorts of films haven’t done all too well historically speaking barring some campy stuff in the 70s or sometimes better films (Dhund, Gumnaam earlier.. this too was based on the same Christie book).

      • incidentally even Dhund was based on a Christie book ‘The Unexpected Guest’.. Guess B R Chopra was a big admirer of Agatha Christie works

        • Interesting.. haven’t heard of that book.. is it one of the stories or one of the lesser books? quite like Dhund. Khanna’s Ittefaq around the same time (roughly) was also well done.

          • It’s an original play, I think (as opposed to a short story or novel later turned into a play).

  13. alex adams Says:

    doesnt work!
    A mish-mash—confused maker—tries to do too much
    abhishek lacking in confidence!
The only thing in its fsvour is –that excel is backing it..
if farhan–sihwani has green-lighted this one, it should not be utter crap; but as far as box-office is concerned, the track record of even excel is shaky, to say the least.
when your biggest hit is Don (srk), this is significant

    • yeah they have these Hollywoodized films that don’t completely connect with multiplexes either. Don did have no more than a decent run given all the hype.

  14. god, this looks awful!

  15. Poster
(only came across a small version)

  16. AamirsFan Says:

pretty average promo. the weakest genre for hindi films has been thriller/suspense type movies. my recent fave’s have been 3 deewarein and ek hasina thi. Abhishek looks pretty damn comfortable in this role though, i think this is HIS genre. the film itself will have to be made good if it has any chance of success.

    • EHT was great. Liked the first half more than the second one but they made it up with the climax. My favorite Saif performance (ever!) is in the first half here.

      • agree…Saif’s performance was awesome….i wonder who the director was of that movie..it was a well made flick.

        • It was directed by Sriram Raghavan.

I personally feel that Saif’s best performance was OMKARA.

Anyway in regards to this trailer ‘GAME’ it’s ok nothing more nothing less. Many times trailers of a film are poor but film does wonders (G3) and many a times trailers are good but film turns out poor (KITES etc). I have a feeling from seeing this trailer that the script doesn’t look anything great. Then to add further doubts in my mind Kangna is the detective- BIG NO (I love her btw).

  17. Looks like “Shalimar” to me.

  18. Yes, it gave me the same feeling of Shalimar and Christie novel. Could work like Race or other Abbas Mastan movies.

  19. amit srivastava Says:

    Bland…another flop for Jr. Bachchan.

  20. Bhalo_Manush Says:

Brilliant trailer…It’s a must watch for me now..Liked any movie trailer after Dabangg.. Quite confident that this will be a good movie..

  21. tweet to Abhishek:

the Game promo seems to have attracted some buzz. It’s always disappointing to see the extent to which the audience can be satisfied with relatively little in the name of ‘entertainment’. I don’t have anything against the film of course but I have something against an audience that most of the time refuses to graduate from popcorn thrillers and over the top comedies to more meaningful entertainment. An actor much like a politician can hardly afford to blame the audience (!) but the latter is co-responsible for the existing state of affairs. You had an excellent, thoughtful interview in Midday recently (http://img121.imageshack.us/img121/5112/epaperimages5c101220105.jpg) but I think that if audiences are going to spend their hard earned money on extremely mediocre fare and not mind it while on the other hand refusing to be ‘entertained’ (by the way what is this obsession with ‘entertainment’? It is hardly the neutral word it seems to be, it is every bit as ideological coded as anything else) by anything half-serious there is also something wrong with them. Of course you’re right about how expensive a proposition going to a multiplex is. However I have far greater sympathy for those audiences that have been completely shut of this system and either cannot afford a ticket at all or even if they could are not able to see films that speak to their concerns and/or sense of entertainment. In any case on Game I see there are some principal characters here. I don’t know what the structure of this film is but as a purely box office matter it cannot have extended segments where you are not on the scene. Hope Deo has taken care of this. Nothing against Shergill but I’d be a little pissed if I went to this kind of escapist entertainment and discovered your character absent for portions. Beyond the normal that is. This kind of fare has to be about ‘stars’.

A typically polemical piece I put up on the notion of ‘entertainment’ not so long ago:

    That’s Entertainment!

    • even twitter cant stop satyam!

ps- is that long a tweet allowed!

      • LOL! True!

You can actually download an app for Twitter depending on whether you’re using Explorer or Firefox or the iPhone or a Blackberry or some others which allows you to exceed the character limit by as much as you like. The app truncates the comment beyond a point and provides a web link which you can then click on to get to the entire comment.

  22. masterpraz Says:

Looks slick and very lavish! Abhishek looks sharp and the cast is refreshing and unique (Boman, Anupam, Kangana, Jimmy)

    Looking forward to this…

  23. masterpraz Says:

Looks like it has a revenge theme to it….Abhishek’s character looks interesting and intense when he delivers “Kyunki main usse pyaar karta tha”!

Kangana Ranaut I’ve loved from Day 1, she was fantastic in OUATM too!

I personally don’t mind this genre so much. Abbas Mustaan do it even better than Akhtar IMO because they retain a definite sense of masala (which Farhan’s DON remake lacked), however films like DUS and DON I enjoyed on the whole.

  24. posters even better than the trailer

  25. Sarah-Jane Dias beats Katrina, Malaika as item number queen?
Agencies Posted online: Mon Dec 13 2010, 16:58 hrs

New Delhi : Sarah-Jane Dias shot to fame when she won the the Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2007, not to mention her stint as a Chanel (V) DJ.

She is now at the centre of Bollywood buzz courtesy a fascinating item number.

Item numbers have been some of the most noticeable and often the only special feature that retains recall value in many top grade and some forgettable Bollywood movies.

With Katrina Kaif melding the role of the lead heroine and the item number successfully, it has opened doors to the top echelons of Bollywood for the as yet untried, or wannabe, actresses.

Sarah-Jane Dias’ flirtation with fame as Miss India and DJ were too fleeting, with hardly much exposure being offered to her from Bollywood.

But now she has grabbed the Bollywood opportunity with her bump-and-grind routine.

Now, here she is, paired with Abhishek Bachchan, the name currently on top of the charts for all heroines to pair up with, and more than that, she is challenging the one and only Katrina Kaif and Malaika Arora for India’s No. 1 Bollywood item queen crown.

According to people in the know, Sarah has set the film sets on fire with the sensual nature of her moves in the song “Kaise Sunau Main Ye Dastaan…”.

The gyrations are quite explicit and are certain to send the sex quotient of the film rating through the roof – a top class draw for any Bollywood movie.

Surely, on the strength of this number alone, Sarah-Jane’s B-grading is going to rise.

  26. I have to say this trailer looks kind of lame. Hell of a cast though.

  27. Game for Game?

Producer Ritesh Sidhwani to hold contests for his upcoming whodunit

Ritesh Sidhwani is planning a unique promotional gimmick for his film Game starring Abhishek Bachchan and Kangna Ranaut. He wants to involve audiences with his whodunit thriller.

All you have to do is see the promo and write to the producers what you think the film is about, and you stand to win big a cash prize or an all-expense paid trip to Istanbul where a large part of the film is filmed.

Abhishek Bachchan and Sarah Jane Dias in Game

The film also stars Jimmy Shergill and debutant Sarah Jane Dias.

Ritesh explains, “Our plan is to create a right mindset for the audience even before the film releases. Next month we plan to roll out a contest where we will be giving clues based on the characters of the film.

The viewer will then have to write out a script based on the clues given.”

The basic premise of Game is one night, four strangers, and one island. Sidhwani adds that the script that comes close to the actual plot of the film will win the prize.

“We want the applicants to be creative and think of all the possibilities that can happen with four people spending one night on an island. The first promo introduces the four characters to the audience.”

Game has also been shot in Greece, Thailand, London and Turkey. The producer swears it will bring back the edge-of-the-seat genre to B-Town.

Apart from writing a script based on the promos, Sidhwani will also be creating a quiz based on the four main characters. “It will be on the lines of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

We will ask one question based on the characters in the promo and provide four options for each question.

There are 20 questions which will be given out in a series of sequence. The idea is to familiarise the audience with the plot and also make sure they are alert while seeing the promos.”

    Game releases on March 18.

  28. Abhishek’s ‘Game’ to release on Fools’ Day

    New Delhi News.Net
    Friday 28th January, 2011 (IANS)

First time director Abhinay Deo’s upcoming action thriller ‘Game’, which has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role, has been scheduled for an April 1 release.

Produced under Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s banner Excel Entertainment, the film has been shot in Greece, Turkey, Thailand, Britain and India.

Filmmaker-actor Farhan Akhtar has penned dialogues for the movie that also stars Kangana Ranaut, Jimmy Shergill, Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Shahana Goswami, Gauhar Khan and newcomer Sarah Jane Dias.

    • Taran has confirmed this date too. A couple of problems here. While this skips the WC the final is on April 2 and if India make it they’re looking at a total loss on a weekend day. Also Akshay’s Thank You releases the following week and DMD releases in just three weeks.

    • Will ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ shift ahead?
      By Taran Adarsh, February 1, 2011 – 08:40 IST

With GAME getting shifted to 1 April, what happens to DUM MAARO DUM, which is slated for release on 22 April? How are GAME and DUM MAARO DUM connected, you may ask. Well, both GAME and DUM MAARO DUM star Abhishek Bachchan in the lead, so will we witness two Jr. B starrers releasing in one month? Ideally, there should be a gap of at least three months between two major releases of a star, not three weeks.

However, Fox Star Studios India, the company distributing DUM MAARO DUM, is sticking to the date of 22 April. Says Ali Surti, “We are going ahead with 22 April, as of now. There’s no point working on a new date for DUM MAARO DUM till a clearer picture emerges.”

  29. Looks very interesting, I hope it runs well

  30. Whats the point of having such a slow romantic song in thriller ? Thrillers have one thumb rule, edge of seat and slick moments from start to finish. And this song is definitely a breaker .. This song doesn’t suit to a action thriller at all .. What excitement this song bring to viewers ? Nothing. If you are planning suspense/Action thriller, your strategy should be that way only .. DMD starts off well IMO with slick poster and next will come short action teaser .. with skin show, drugs and peppy numbers .. one can easily guess about DMD what kind of movie will be this .. whereas GAME is going no where … a general viewer will not get any idea about its genre looking at this song promo .. even if this is only slow romantic song in movie, this shouldn’t be part of promo … Well i have all time low expectations for GAME and for upcoming abhishek releases, rest of all his movies are promising including DMD, Players, Bol Bachchan and D-3.

For abhishek sake, GAME should be his last mistake.

  31. This is a very standard trailer (don’t mean this in a good sense!). Nothing new here barring Turkey! The first was better. Having said that it’s so rare to see abhishek do a normal love song that perhaps this appeals to the family audiences! I just think though that they need to turn up the ‘excitement’ factor here and for this sort of genre it’s principally about volume. Specially with DMD trailers round the corner those will seem like the real deal (with justification!). You can’t be subtle on the advertising with a film like Game. The theatrical trailer was a long time back. Unless they plan to give the film important spots during the WC.

  32. Sarah jane’s face always looks to me a mixture of two other heroines’ faces. I never cared to try to exert and so could not place which ones.
Now i seem to have got it —bipasha basu and jiah khan—the mixture does not look too appealing to bollywood patrons.
btw what happened the bachchan film called johnny mastana/ shoebite===i was really looking forward to it===seems that the box office of rann and aladin etc have taken its toll!

    • Please stop with your false theories. Johnny Mastana is shelved due to legal problems with a HW studio which has been mentioned many times by AB on his blog and here on this site.

  33. re–these are not “false theories”. Was nnot aware of these “legal problems”. btw not sure how a nearly complete film can be “shelved”. hope it is not shelved since looked a v promising film.
As for “legal problems” –if thats the only reasons, bollywood producersare quite adept in sorting them (underhand)
btw—what were the “legal problems” –plz elaborate–thanx

  34. Like this third teaser. Probably the most effective one so far. The first was fine too but this more compressed one works better. Abhishek suddenly has this, DMD, Players, essentially three films where he strives for ‘cool’.

    • The cinematographer here is Karthik Vijay who did OLLO and Taxi No 9211. BGM is by Ram Sampath, the guy who did Khakee but poor chap has been more or less in the doldrums since.

  35. Much better promo than the previous one.

  36. alex adams Says:

Saw a few scenes of paa today.
Besides amitabhs obvious superlative efforts, noticed how much effort abhishrek had put in interms of styling& look—even his physique looks quite toned for a change!
Now thats what i call dishonesty.
Thats what separates abhi from his dad and even (safe to say now) current greats aamir and srk.
Look at srks top most pic in don2 towrds the fag end of his near dominance, Look at amitabh at 68. look at aamir in ANY of his films, NOT ONLY the ones he produces.
An actor whose effort is so visibly enhanced in his home production—well, think he deserves his fate.
Whateva i ve seen till now in “game”, he continues his lethrgic “chalta hai” attitude.
Not sure where i saw the first loook of “players”—saw abhi strutting around with guys like omi vaidya and sikander kher–Thats where he shall be relegated to, if he continues to be selective about his efforts!

  37. This is easily the best song on the album (not that that’s saying very much here but it’s grown on me a bit).. like the video too..

  38. like the video Abhi the best!!!!!!!!!!!!! love

  39. I like the song, but I like the look of particulerement Abhishek Bachchan, it kills!!

  40. Game looks like an entertainer. Finally Abhishek has some entertaining commercial films.Game ,DMD,Players, Dhoom3.This might be liked.
DMD will take a good opening because trailers are liked.DMD is a sure success, so it will be turnaround for Abhsihek.
He should not have married aishwarya rai though. She has been a hindarence in his career.

    • Bhalo_Manush Says:

“He should not have married aishwarya rai though. She has been a hindarence in his career.”

      ROFL….

      • Be careful, not to hurt your self and dont soil the pants either.

        • On a serious note tho, it is a pretty irresponsible thing to say. Even if it were true and it is not, thats his personal choice and life decisions cannot me made with an eye on the career or the likings of fickle fans.

    • Wife a hindrance in his career? It is the quote of the century in Satyamshot. No one can stop if you’ve worth and confidence.

  41. I’ve really taken to the Mehki song..

  42. I find it better not do much to promote … the best promotion is to see the film and talk afterwards (mouth to ear) look Raavan …. or ….KHHJS … I think He changed tactics … when we do a lot of the advertising quotas become more demanding and can be … it works on the fact of surprise !!!!!

  44. I think he needs a buzz quoted personal, to his image (it sucks but it works)) .. For example: having a child so …

  45. is exactly the kind of film you want to see the Cinema on a big screen … it works well, while Delhi-6 film as it’s a great movie, but it must have in its video library … Visually it works better action on a large screen shot of the film is going very well … (unless its popularity is really too low in his country … I do not know,,,????…)

  46. alex adams Says:

“je pense que il lui faut un buzz coté personnel, pour son image (c’est nul mais ca marche)).. par exemple : avoir un enfant etc…”
HI Tatta–plz translate that–which language is that?

  47. alex adams Says:

I often read your comments and I like it :)

  51. so I speak french, Armenian, Russian very well—

  52. yes I’m a fan of Abhi, one of the few Bollywood actors I like (although not everyone will agree with me)… he is not perfect and I like that … and he’s not playing on his image ….

  53. alex adams Says:

  54. I love Leonardo Di Caprio, Jhony Depp, Al Pacio, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hofmann, Brad Pitt…

  55. alex adams Says:

Bonne Tata bien choisie.

  56. yes I like 1.place Bachchan Junior
    2. Aishwarya Rai, madhuri dixit, Hritik Roshan (in the “guzarish ” and “jodha akbar”, Big B (it is good, because sometimes walk with time, he plays not the same as it would in the 70s-80s,if you can not reecree something you’re dead)
    3. Amir (Thom Hanks of Bollywood, it is nice but a little cold, is much work that way, there is no spontaneity (that’s Matt Diamond, hi is good but not great as Leo Di caprio)
4 , SHK (but he’s already past, I think he always plays the same thing, too many games, many tears , many many…..

!!!I hate Salman, he is too macho man! in there head in is nothing , that muscles everywhere and everywhere and liters weeping when it is necessary
!!! A bollywood be careful, because instead of playing it instead of doing photoshoot, like stars, there are poses in front of the camera, that ‘s injury

  57. alex adams Says:

  58. I think Abhi is not an actor tipe of Bolly, it does not in, he does not sing, he does not “crying” no … but it is not an actor who can compete with Hollywood, so that is it for him is difficult, it may be good but in India it does not work … I am of Armenian origin, I have many Russian friends also tastes are very different type…. but I think raavan the french will love him more than Don, because it’s Authentic, much ac count again something India, the true values (although some purists that’s not it …) KHHJ is the same, it can work with foreign

  59. the stranger likes what recount some things, and not an imitation of Hollywood, because Hollywood already does it very well …. Guru Raavan, KHHJ, Reefuge the case is genuine
Why Rahman arrived to work in Hollywood?? because it keeps his mind Indian… that’s the genius, although sometimes the mix is west +est
is the great question of the 21st century: globalization

  60. the problem of France is that there are not many Indians in France. It is primarily thanks to the diaspora that the culture of that country spreads … I know well because I am a child of Soviet. USSR at the time of our parents watch that movie .. Indians but in France it is not very widespread. Can be gradually Gras festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Oscar etc. ..

  61. alex adams Says:

  62. alex adams Says:

    Ya–J’ai été à Moscou et les films indiens étaient traditionnellement populaires de Raj Kapoor même à Mithun. Convenez au sujet de la Diaspora écartant la culture. D’ailleurs, les filles russes sont simplement belles. Ce qui vous a pensé au ” inspiré par choeur russe ; darling” ; chanson de ” ; maaf” de khoon de saat ;

  63. I did not understand your last sentence. I live in France. The young Russians are well aware of the current actors in the former USSR countries as well. But not everyone in France.

  64. DMD is very interested because it is GOA. is made there will be true as I think ..

  65. alex adams Says:

  66. This is Pryanka . Cool arrangement of “Kalinka”
ps: I’m profesional musician (violin) and I happened to play the “Kalinka” lol

  67. alex adams Says:

  68. lol, is true

  69. so what do you think of the film Raavan??

  70. alex adams Says:

    Hmm…

  72. ok my name is Tatevik but tatiana not far away

  73. you can write in English, I understand, that everyone understand lol

  74. alex adams Says:

  82. although many people like Vikram, I do not like. Because his games very well, but it is Ordinary…..
When interpreting a mythical or mythological ROLE, I much prefer this side of crazy, controversial Abhi. In a half-god, two half-monster even if it is a very modern we can not find it.in the movie when they say : he has 12 heads. I find as binders in the sculptures is overstating…. It should be as controversial as history….That’s the magic, while it plays almost like ..vikram in the role of cop is same Beerah. Berrah=cop

  83. and then I found both films are very different type. Abhishek Beerah he is younger man. Vikram Beerah and more mature.

  84. why we cross a mythological animal with the head? But not a Beerah that looks like an animal … lol

  85. alex adams Says:

  87. She had not much to play Aish. She played very well. She has done everything asked what scenario
Vekram longer corresponds to a FILC. Beerah and plays like a cop. (I have adequately expressed?)

  90. Guzaarish love, but mostly I love the director. His film is so unique point of view photography. It’s like watching a painting or Veermer Rembrandh … I have nothing to say. It’s not work, because of Hritik fans who are mostly young, because he is a handsome boy, did not like his appearance disability. But the film is young people who are more, I think the DVD is going really well as for Raavan, KHHJ. Co film are to have in its video library

  91. But cinema is young people who are more, I think the DVD is going really well as for Raavan, KHHJ. Co film are to have in its video library

  92. I have not watched kites. I’m not interested.

  93. and then I noticed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali each time creates a unique atmosphere. For Devdas (the flamboyant colors, India) Guzarish (Blue, Red – Spain), Saawariya (one may venice, russia (dostoevski )on India….

  94. alex adams Says:

  95. his films for me is a with remarkable esthetic. And the beauty of Aish is part of his paintings …

  104. I like to site .. the months they do not insult for an actor who is not the King or King LOL))) is not a question of King, is a question of art, of film ….

  105. alex adams Says:

Exactement.

  107. you can listen to my music on myspace

  112. ideaunique Says:

    • Tata isn’t as comfortable in Eng as in French. But she had comments in Eng before Alex lured her back into French. I think we should get back at them with Hindi! But hey it’s cool.. all languages are welcome including your ‘French’!

  113. alex adams Says:

ideaunique—kool down–better for you to do some breathing yoga exercises—hahaha.
If you need, I can send you a yoga / pilatesguide (in french if you prefer)…..Dont be a cry-baby!
the “exchange” in french has already happened–lol .

  114. me my self Says:

me too i speak french and i don’t see any problem,,

    alors bienvenue tata

  115. Let’s all relax guys.. as I said yesterday all languages are welcome..

I however object strongly to anyone calling Sophie Marceau ‘Marceau de Sophie’! LOL!

  116. me my self Says:

    merci satyam hahahahaha

    you speak franch satyam??

  117. LOL!
If ted and alex adam were speaking rather than writing I would not have minded at all.
Though I don’t know French, I find it one of the most elegant, sophisticated and sweet sounding language in the world (Bangla being the other).

  118. thank you for your understanding. and sorry if we talked in French yesterday. I also try to write in English. In fact I’m a fan of Abhi, but mostly I’m a fan of good cinema, art simply :)

    • Tata no problem with the French. Will spur some to learn the language.

On the rest since you’re a fan of good cinema being a fan of Abhi logically follows!

  119. Tata,
Dont worry. Its all good, as long as you are a fan of Bachchan de Abhishek!
It is actually OK even if one were not.

  120. alex adams Says:

    Tatevik—Relax and plz chill.
Most people here are chilled out and lovers of cinema, more so the moderator satyam who is a thorough gentleman,
French language and even others are welcum and add to the depth and varierty of discourse, making it more wholesome.
Anyhow, had a lovely lengthy one-one-one interaction with you yesterday and was really enjoyable plus informative.

  121. I see it this site There are Many fans Abhichek?

    • yes somehow a lot of sensible folks have been attracted to the blog! Jokes aside there are a lot of Abhishek fans but very many that aren’t. I should say though that the tortured Abhishek fans are sometimes more trouble than the ones who don’t like him! We are treated to their existential quests!

  122. Re: the tortured Abhishek fans are sometimes more trouble than the ones who don’t like him! We are treated to their existential quests!

    So true!

  123. Ash-Kangna-Sarah in a ‘game’ of Maya

    By Joginder Tuteja, March 3, 2011 – 13:54 IST

It is a known fact that when Aishwarya Rai couldn’t work with hubby Abhishek Bachchan in Game due to date issues, Kangna Ranaut came in as a quick replacement. However, what is not known is the fact that the makers of this suspense thriller were already in talks with Kangna as there was always a space for two leading ladies.

Informs an industry insider, “There are two important female protagonists in Game, one which is that of a mysterious young woman whose life is connected to four different people and another is that of an investigating officer. When Aishwarya was offered Game, there was uncertainty around which part would she play.”

Between Ash and director Abhinay Deo, there were healthy discussions around which part would suit her best. However, the eventual character was never finalised. Meanwhile Kangna had already been approached for the film as well though it wasn’t clear as to which part she would end up eventually playing.

“While the game of musical chairs was on, Ash had to leave the film due to date issues. Even as the makers were thinking about the replacement, Kangna had already been confirmed to come on board. This is when Sarah Jane Dias was finalised to play the part of Maya, the mysterious woman in Game”, informs a source.

Eventually all was well with Kangna and Sarah being clear of the parts they were playing and what was expected out of them. Meanwhile two other important female protagonist parts were grabbed by Shahana Goswami and Gauhar Khan respectively.

When approached, director Abhinay Deo did confirm that there was some flip-flop that happened around the casting of Game. “Ash and I were dabbling about which role she had to do. However due to date issues, she had to drop out of the film. Luckily we had already met Kangna and discussed the script with her so she was pronto finalised for the part of the investigating officer. We started our hunt for the girl who would play Maya and this is where Sarah came into picture. Thankfully this casting didn’t take much time and allowed us to move ahead as per schedule and wrap up the film on time.”

Guess it all turned out to be Sarah’s biggest gain after all.

  124. Game looks good.I think it will be a success. Then there is DMD.if Abhishek keep doing these kind of films, then he can be successful.

  125. alex adams Says:

    http://www.mid-day.com/entertainment/2011/mar/010311-Jaya-Abhishek-Bachchan-Dhoom-3-Los-Angeles.htm

if true, y does jaya seem to have issues. If she had similar ones vis a vis ash, it was more understandable!
anyhow someone put a lin–was it jaya demanding award for ash??

  126. but I do not understand, in Antar Mahal Abhi is already shirtless lol … why this story

  127. The song “Mehki Mehki” I really like. And the choreography too. It worked well in the details, I do not think this simple dance in a burlesque style, so we never did that. The music is like a cocktail “multinational”. If you watch the movie “Burlesque” arrangement resembles a bit to the song “Welcome to Burlesque” by Cher (whom I adore by the way). It was a bit jazzy melody the intro (piano, brass) I like, then singing Indian, after the first bridge: Turkish music …

  128. Meet the desi Bond: Jr Bachchan

On April 1, Abhishek Bachchan will return to theatres with Game that promises plenty of thrills and spills. And to ensure that happens, he wasn’t prepared to fool the audience with duplicates and cheat shots. When required to run down a 50-metre road in Palat, a village in Istanbul, the star waved off the services of a body double and huffed through the sequence himself. He even trained under a Turkish marathon runner to ensure an injury-free run.

Co-producer Ritiesh Sidhwani admits that the film is along the lines of the Bond and Bourne series, with a bit of the Dev Anand classic Jewel Thief thrown in: “Abhishek is the suave owner of a casino in Istanbul, who dashes through Turkey, Greece, England, Thailand and India, leaving behind clues.” Bachchan has also shot a music video, choreographed by Shiamak Davar that will be screened with the end credits. ‘Kaun hai ajnabee…’ also features his co-stars, Kangna Ranaut and Sarah Jane Dias.

Abhishek BachchanAnother Bachchan film, Players, also has some nail-biting chopper and car stunts picturised on him. The actor got to race around in Mini Coopers in the official ‘desi’ version of The Italian Job during a month-long schedule in New Zealand.

“There were only 23 of these small cars in New Zealand, we bought nine of them, three each in red, yellow and blue. One was for the actors, the other for the crew and a third as standby,” informs director duo Abbas-Mustan.

A self-confessed Michael Caine fan from the 1969 The Italian Job, Bachchan says that every day in Kiwi land threw up a new challenge. “I loved the car chases, through tunnels, down airport runways and alongside a speeding train,” he says. “This is my fourth film in New Zealand after Shararat, Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai and Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon. I still have to do the sky jump from the 192 metre high Sky Tower in Auckland.”

  129. Why there is not much promotion? Some one commented that Farah Akthar in latest interview has talked about all his and Zoya’s movies, didn’t even mention game. It is really weird. Thee have unnecessarily postponed it from Jan.

    • Yeah its like they aren’t even trying. I’ve seen interviews here and there with Sarah Jane but nothing much with Abhishek or anyone else.

      • Abhishek just returned to India a few days ago and started the promotion campaign yesterday or day before. But I don’t think this is the problem. I’ve said this to him also but the issue here is that the usual promotions have reached a saturation point with every star doing the rounds for every film. The trailers still matter and here they haven’t yet delivered in the high octane stuff that this film needs. They’ve done the mystery bit, the love story but it’s been a case of mixed messages. You need to go in for the initial on this genre and for which a high volume campaign is first off all necessary but also the right kind of campaign. If I were advising them I’d suggest just doing car chases in the ads from now till the release and then also doing a few WC slots. That’s all that’s needed. Meanwhile Rohan is running a perfect campaign for DMD.

  130. Attending routine media interviews doesn’t help. We’ve seen it with khjjs. The producer and director has to take initiative in releasing timely promotions. There is no use in releasing slow paced love song for a thriller.

  131. I know its silly to even say this considering it is farhans money that made the film, but its like they dont even want the movie to fare well!!
I remember Abhi had mentioned doing scenes using a phillipino martial art called ‘kalli’…no sight of it in any promo as yet, there are supposed to be plenty of thrills and spills……no sign of them anywhere on the existing promos….
I feel bitter just saying this, but even khjjs had a better buzz in the run up to its release.there at least there were deepika and ashutosh on board.
Here is some tepid looking new girl and a completely unheard of director.
Sad, very sad, enough to drive me into cinematic abstinence!!

  132. Release dates don’t matter for good films: Abhishek Bachchan

    March 9th, 2011

Mumbai, March 10 – Although April is being considered a risky month to release films because of cricket tournaments like World Cup and IPL and school exams on top of that, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan is unperturbed even though two of his films are being releasing next month.

April 1 will see murder mystery ‘Game’ hitting the marquee and then April 22 is the turn of thriller ‘Dum Maaro Dum’.

‘I really believe that it’s something we’ve just made up for ourselves. If you make a quality product, no matter what period of the year it is. People will watch it and we have hundreds of examples to prove that.

‘I think its completely to do with the fact that whether we can excite the audience enough. We are blessed that our audiences are so passionate about films. Its almost a part of their daily life where it is very hard to resist going and watching a film,’ Abhishek told reporters here.

‘We have more than a billion people in this country. Not everyone is going to watch cricket. Even if half of them watch cricket the other half will watch the movie,’ he added.

The actor also admitted that he is very excited about both his films.

”Game’ is a film that i’m very excited about because it’s my first film with two very dear friends of mine (Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidwani). We’ve been waiting very long for the right script to come, I’ve really enjoyed making this film. It’s a genre that I really enjoy. It’s a whodunit murder mystery and I always wanted to do such a film and we have shot at some really nice places,’ he revealed.

‘As well as ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, which is made by Rohan Sippy is also a great film. It’s our third film together.

‘Both films are exciting. As an actor my job is to act in the film. The release dates are not decided by me. As far as i’m concerned. Two films which are very close to me are releasing in a month, so i’m excited,’ he added.

Abhishek, also ruled out the news that there are similarities between the two films.

‘The only similarity between the two films is that I’m in them and April being the month of release. No other parallel at all,’ he said.

    • “‘I really believe that it’s something we’ve just made up for ourselves. If you make a quality product, no matter what period of the year it is. People will watch it and we have hundreds of examples to prove that.”

so what does he have to say for khjjs? it was good or bad.. i would say it was a right movie in wrong TIME, with even attrocious the release TIME, and he says TIME doesnt matter ;) ( i have still to watch that film, but i am sure it wasnt that bad as paying public made it look like!)

Marketing is the most important thing and so is timing imo, if one cant get that, one shouldnt comment on that strictly imo!!

      to make it more simple-

if he is expecting anyone outthere to still watch game after Khjjs, and even if game flops he is thinking people would watch DMD, its quite shocking imo…

i would be quite honest if a actor fails in a movie and it is so crap, and bad a move, that i feel cheated, i would shy away from his next film!

ps- satyam whats ur vibes on game? i had a conversation with few friends it is still not getting that BUZZ.. with cricket dominating the discussion..

      • A few points…

1)Don’t believe DMD will be affected by Game though a hit in the latter can only help.

2)Game is unlikely to have a KHJJS scenario. If the film is liked a relatively lower initial can be made up later because people show up for these genres.

3)But getting to the Game advertising, and I’m repeating myself here, but with this genre it’s not rocket science. They should just throw in lots of high octane trailers at the audience, keep the volume high and that’s it. The problem here is mixed messages — it’s a mystery, it’s a love story, it’s a thriller etc. Now all of this might be true but you still have to pitch it a certain way to get the maximum initial possible. But sometimes this also indicates a problem with the film itself where directors working off popcorn genres get ambitious and decide to make the film more meaningful. Not that it cannot be done but you have to be careful and not have a film that does not entirely satisfy either a love story segment or a thriller one or an action one or what have you.

4)DMD looks very much like the real deal in front of Game. This too is a problem for the latter.

But no question that Game needs to increase its presence greatly and principally with the right kind of trailer. The press appearances and so on don’t help any film these days because every star does it for every film, people watch the videos online or on TV as entertainment but they don’t watch movies based on this stuff. Having said all this they do still have some time to rectify things as well as the advantage that this will be the first release after a relatively dull period. But again the work of advertising has to be done first. By the way if India make it to the final that Sat will be extremely weak, even non-existent.

        • “The problem here is mixed messages — it’s a mystery, it’s a love story, it’s a thriller etc. Now all of this might be true but you still have to pitch it a certain way to get the maximum initial possible.”

          agreed, spot on!

          on india reaching final-

dude m not a cricket lover much, but would u believe people keep track of netherland-india match! and ordinary match in my eyes.. than a final expect a riot! and saturday would indeed be non existent! even thats an understatement!

ON khjjs- agree it wont be like that.. but sad thing is people still poke on that one without seeing, and i keep on being optimistic on that one without seeeing ;) but i still feel .. it was wrongly timed one…

On dmd- i m sure its the real deal, to be more frank, its the first movie in sometime to get me motivated for fdfs!! and i want to be entertained!!! loving the publicity also! with the way characters are being introduced but weak link for me is Bipasha his and abhi chemistry doesnt work for me! atleast from what i can see.. and then same pair in Players (i guess they arent romantic couple in that.. but still )

          • Bipasha is paired with Ran, not Abhishek in DMD.

With khjjs, that is not a movie to be made at all
for Theatres. It is good for televison serial. Those type of movies work well when it connected with youth.

    • HE has to talk something to support his releases, he did it. Otheriwise, there is no point. It definitely not good releasing same hero movies in span of 2-3 weeks.

  133. this new song is the one Shiamak choreographed..

  134. must not be pessimistic:) try not to make too many predictions in advance. Instead, they contemplate the trailer we are doing. I find it not bad. I think after the release of the music, they thought about that the songs are not enough, so he has added the song, well done. it’s very stylish, Abhishek is just in his style. And then Abhishek has just started the promotion, he has further 20 days before. Everything will be alright. If the movie is good, nothing will disturb. A small example: “Avatar” has been so successful not because he had left such days, it is by what people love it. The date is important but not crucial. :) :)

  135. “Game is a very twisted script” – Abhinay Deo

    By Devansh Patel, March 12, 2011 – 12:52 IST

Abhinay Deo It’s difficult where to start off from when you know you are in a dilemma. For starters, Bollywood’s newest director Abhinay Deo is facing just that. And even though his first film Game isn’t out yet theatrically, the industry pundits are already predicting him to be one of India’s most talented directors. Deo quotes, “I guess then I have to thank my advertising for making me well known even before my two films have released. I am happy yet nervous because I don’t want to lower their expectations.” It’s not just his debut film Game that’s the talk of the town. His second release, which he actually shot first, Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly is also doing the rounds in the industry. With two films about to see the light of the day and being backed by two of India’s most prolific Production houses, Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions, Deo isn’t just a lucky man, he is a blessed one. Will he add that extra punch and mesmerising tension to Game? Will he bring the wit and rhythm to Delhi Belly? Come April 1 and July 1, we will also find out the answer to – Is Abhinay as intriguing and entertaining as Game? Or is he as witty as Delhi Belly? UK’s Harrow Observer columnist and Bollywood Hungama’s London correspondent plays the game of one-upmanship with the director. Forget who wins! Just enjoy the game.

“Game is a very twisted script”

This film has been a tough one to crack. Game is a very twisted script. It’s difficult to make a film that is quite involving in its screenplay and its characters.

“The original script of Game was 450 pages and in two parts”

The writer of this film Althea Delmas Kaushal came with a script which was almost 450 pages. She wrote it in two parts, one being the sequel. I knew this had to be coming down to 150 pages or so. I sat with her for eight to nine months and got the right ingredients to shorten the script.

“I feel to make something simple is more difficult”

I come from an advertising world and used my fourteen years of experience to make sure that I do a decent job to make a film like this work. This is a thriller and we made it simpler for our Indian audiences to understand and for the overseas audiences too. I feel to make something simple is more difficult and Game was a simple experience.

“The role suited Abhishek’s persona a lot and because he is suave”

In a stylish thriller like Game, Abhishek Bachchan was an unusual and a rare cast. Abhishek is a very suave actor and he carries himself aesthetically quite well. The role suited Abhishek’s persona a lot. It was a hand in glove situation. Abhishek has brought a likeability factor to his role and no one could’ve done a better job than him.

“Whenever thrillers have been made, majority of the times, they’ve worked”

Culturally, we are people who prefer to see song and dance and love stories as against a cutting edge, stylised, suspense thrillers. That’s one of the many reasons why directors do not want to embark on making a thriller. Add to that, thrillers are quite expensive to make. If you go back in the past, Teesri Manzil was an exceptionally well made ‘Who done it’ thriller. But the good thing is, whenever thrillers have been made, majority of the times, they’ve worked.

    “I don’t know what redefines a genre”

I don’t know whether Game will redefine a thriller. I don’t know what redefines a genre. What we’ve done is that we have weaved each element in such a manner that audiences are going to be kept on the edge of their seat. We have laid all the cards on the table and you should be able to find out ‘Who done it’. Game isn’t like Johnny Gaddaar.

Abhinay Deo “We haven’t used Sara Jane Dias for her body and beauty”

Sara just lights up on camera. She is indeed beautiful. I’ve been lucky to cast her. For one, she has done an incredible job and two; the response generated towards her after people seeing her pictures has been phenomenal. We aren’t using a girl just for her body and beauty. She is playing a very pivotal role in Game and for a first timer to come in, and not just look hot, she has delivered a fantastic performance.

“It’s good to know that the industry is looking forward to my work”

It’s good that people from the industry are aware of my work through my advertising. I really am flattered to know that the industry pundits are looking forward to my work. It’s good and bad. Bad because there are too many expectations from me but good because I come in as a wild card.

“To work with Farhan, Ritesh and Aamir Khan as producers is an achievement”

I find it strange that people have faith in me without seeing my work. For starters, my debutant producers are Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani and my second producer is Aamir Khan. To work with two of India’s biggest production houses is an achievement in itself. Both my films, Game and my second film Delhi Belly are two diverse films and I have been backed by the best.

And IF it is not decent, Deop should get a kick on his backside—tired of people speaking before their turn…Would like to pleasnatly surprised here.
However, surprisingly even Excel themsleves look quite lukewarm about this one. Also, deos other film delhi belly seems to be getting a tepid vibe—thats my impression…

  137. they should do a lot more like the first dialog promo here. And even more action than this.

  138. cool promos..i think the director is really talented…coz for the first time i liked kanganas acting and dialogue delivery…after watchin this trailer got some hopes from this film but dont know y publicity is so low…atleast show these trailers yaar…they show more trailer of faltu then this…as of now faltu looks like getting a better opening than this..so its high time they do somethin abt this…

    • they only have 10 days at this point. LOL! I think it might be a volume problem more than the number of trailers because as you can see in this thread there have been quite a few. But secondly they should have focused all along on the racier stuff. Now this is more mystery than action/stunts. Nonetheless they should have stuck to the more exciting trailers.

  139. i found the trailers good not great cause there is not a single trailer which made me feel its going to be a bad film but neither excited me..the only thing which is causing suspicion about the quality of the film is how excel is promoting the movie..they r acting like they dont want to even try to bring people to the theatre…is it because they are not happy with product..so they r acting like they trying to save the publicity costs…but somewhere i feel this film has something in it different from normal thrillers of hindi films…and yup satyam have been a fan of your writing since 2007 from naachgaana times..the time when guru released…from then have been following ur comments and reviews…i think it was during the time of release of delhi6 i came to know about satyamshot from a link from naachgaana……every day i visit your blog….it keeps me updated about films tamil,malayalam,hindi,telugu,english….gr8 work

  140. Unique treatment for GAME set Abhishek thinking

    March 21, 2011 06:19:33 PM IST
    Joginder Tuteja, Glamsham Editorial

Since GAME wasn’t following a routine Bollywood treatment when it came to shot taking or dialogue delivery, Abhishek Bachchan was inquisitive (not to be mistaken for interfering) about the way first time director Abhinay Deo was approaching scenes.

“There is a lot of subtlety in GAME. No one is shouting out there and the humour too is handled in a different manner altogether. Silences here are louder than the spoken words due to which Abhishek did ask me a few times whether I was sure of what I was doing”, admits Abhinay, “He wasn’t challenging me though, he was just plain curious. When I explained my point of view, he was convinced and delivered a scene with full commitment.”

So impressed was Abhishek with the written material of GAME that once he started shooting for the film, he followed director’s instructions to the T. For Abhinay too this turned out to be an effective way of working since he was sticking to the script and hence his actors were happy with what was being shot on a daily basis.

“Things change when you start doing something which is not in the script. This is when doubts start creeping in the mind of the actors. However none of that happened in case of GAME as the script was water tight and hence there was no requirement to change anything at all. This was also one of the major reasons why Abhishek had complete faith in me.”

    • LOL, you don’t want subtlety with this sort of genre! This is the problem — a director getting too ambitious with a subject that should only be kept entertaining!

  141. alex adams Says:

wasnt impressed with deos ultra casual “chalta hai” attitude in the making of “game”
Did not suit either his postion or standing!
How did people like aamir and farhan-sidhwani get convinced to put money on him—thats the only hope that there must be something in him.
Otherwise— waiting to kick his ass if he comes up with a substandard first film!!!
What a wasted opportunity if that happens for him!
Actually 3 patti was a turning point for me in bachchans filmography–ON first look, concept, talks of “multiple layers”, presence of kingsley made me hopeful—but it bombed so badly, that i havent even had the courage to chekc it out even on telly!!
Game seems to be a neither here-not there sort of mish mash….

    • Teen Patti is a very poor film. Extremely flat storytelling and with a script where a lot could have been achieved. The director’s first film, Shabd, was way better in every sense and it’s a film I find quite interesting.

    • I agree Alex. “I don’t audition…watch my movies”…yhea right. He has that starry attitude because he knows in his case flops don’t matter; he will be in the industry forever since “mere pass baap hai”….most likely bacchans might be contributing towards the production of the movies he has been in (on a side note, Ranveer’s father too contributed/sponsored Band Baja Barat, otherwise who would give break to someone who looks like that). I am sure actors like Russell Crowe too do auditions, otherwise how would you convince a director that you could do varied roles a cinderella man and a beautiful mind. I don’t think Abhi with his how-I-mastered-the-walking style can be a good character actor…maybe give good scenes in a movie acting wise but not play a character, just like Ash who totally bombed the umrao jaan and she too gave interviews like how I-painted-my-inner-lips-red to be like the character!! Unfortunely like politics, the indian film industry is dominated heredity/dynasty/clan rather than sheer talent. Now and then a vidya balan type of outsider gets in but mostly it is film wale kay bacche.

  142. class, very dynamic!! Finally it seems that it is a thriller

  143. alex adams Says:

  146. Like the first and third ones..

  147. I think I am terribly overrated as an actor: Abhishek Bachchan
    PTI / Wednesday, March 23, 2011 20:57 IST

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan today described himself as a ‘terribly overrated’ actor in the industry and said he has to improve a lot.

“I think I am terribly overrated as an actor. They have given me more due than I deserve. I have a very very long way to go. I have lot of improvement to do”, said the actor notwithstanding his brilliant performances in films such as Bunty Aur Babli and Guru.

The actor was in the cityto promote his forthcoming film Game.

Bachchan, in the field for over a decade, said he did not see the new crop of actors as a threat. “They are so talented, so prepared they are doing great work” and he felt there was enough work going around for all to act.

“I am not the insecure type. I am very secure about who I am and what I do. So I am happy we got new blood coming to the film fraternity and getting more talent I think they are wonderful”, said the 35-year old actor.

Asked, who his favourite actor was he said, “Me myself” and jokingly added, and “apart from me I think my father has some potential”.

Answering questions ranging from doing theatre to doing television, he said he would like to consider both once time permitted him. He said he was involved with his father’s firm ABL Corp and there was a film on the floors and once completed there would be two more that would be taken up.

Game, releasing this April, is a story of 4 strangers who have been invited by the reclusive Kabir Malhotra, to his private island of Samos, Greece, with twists and turns involving love, revenge, retribution and murder.

Actresses Kangana Ranaut and Sarah Jane-Dias were also present with the producer and director duo Ritesh Sidhwani-Abhinay Deo at the event.

  148. Yes, B Manush, Abhi’s fans and maybe some outstanding perfomances like Guru, Paa, et all.
That’s not to say I’m not worried about the lack of BO of some of his releases, I am.
Like Satyam here so rightly says, he has to learn to mix up the prestige projects with the massy ones. Though, at this point, I’d be more than willing to see a slew of massy projects from him, as in India, BO = Great Acting. Which is why today Salman Khan and Bobby Deol are considered ACTORS!!

  149. He is still talking about Dostana-2

  150. me my self Says:

    Game – Action Sequence

    very goooood

  151. Making of Kaun Hai Ajnabi Song

  152. media has seen or are seeing Game now so reviews and tweets should be out any time.
    Hoping for the best.

  153. It’s a game song promo added..

    • well this is interesting.. Kazmi can be difficult to predict. 2 stars is low from her given she even gave No Problem 3. But then she gave D6 3 also and Raavan higher than this. Gave DG 3.5 stars but Dostana 4 stars. She is a reliable voice though. Let’s see how the rest go. But this film does need overall good reviews to survive.

  154. tonymontana Says:

To be honest, I stopped trusting Nikhat Kazmi years back. She has been going all wrong with her predictions for a long time now.
anyways, Game should be interesting forme, in the sense that its a genre that had disappeared after B R Chopra’s 70s Agatha Christie screen adaptations.

    • Don’t think she predicts the box office. She just puts up her views. But she doesn’t do it in formulaic fashion. So one could like different films and rate D6, Raavan, DG highly (though she gave Dev D 5 stars.. pretty remarkable) or give films like Rajneeti more than all of these. The dostana rating is a bit mystifying. Because even as a commercial film it’s simply not that good. So while I find some of her ratings puzzling can’t say I have any problems with her.

      • tonymontana Says:

Yeah, the good thing about her as you say, is that she writes random thoughts on the film and now a Taran Adarsh type formulaic review.
btw she shouldnt have mentioned the killer’s name in her review. Lol.. maybe she has already assumed that peoplewont care much for the film

  155. Nikhat Kazmi called MNIK better than Forrest Gump! Fortunately for us all, the ridiculous doesn’t kill.

Anyway, I expect Game to be decent watch. Depends if it’s your kind of genre or not. But I’ll take it over the artificial, sugar-coated, over-repeated cinema of YashRaj/KJo. A thriller, if well executed, it can work well. And apart from the few Abbas-Mustan flicks, there haven’t been too many well-executed thrillers in the Indian cinema over the last decade. Right Yaa Wrong was quite good as well. Very under-rated movie, I will say.

The main problem for ‘Game’ is that even if it turns out be a decent thriller, Excel haven’t promoted it well enough. The lack of decent promotions is the main hurdle the film faces.

    • I guess GAME is not well made, tweets and reviews are coming bad. That’s why excel is refraining themselves promoting it. But big question is how GAME turn out that bad ? Was excel turned such a blind towards its making, wasn’t it realized during filming that things are not going as planned ? Why it happened to Abhishek movies at first place ? definitely not entirely Abhishek fault, but now days actor need to involve himself completely in a movie to ensure good outcome, this is only reason actor nowdays doing 1 movie at a time. Abhishek now strictly check on quality of product he is doing.

      • jeevan i guess its too late.. abhisekh shudnt have done it if it is too bad, if people go mad at akshay, now i guess how does abhisekh answer all this?

its surprising how very few actors concentrate on script.

  156. I have a feeling FALTU is going to beat GAME in the opening.
