Some fantastic shots here and definitely one for the big screen but I have some reservations about this sort of ‘auteurist’ approach to the Western. This isn’t the only example of such by any means. Stepping out at the moment, will get back to this later butut it seems to me for example that if one favors such an approach one should do No Country for Old Men as opposed to True Grit (remake). didn’t much care for the latter incidentally.
