Well for some of the reasons that I got to in my Players piece. Leaving aside Abhishek’s weakness in terms of drawing an initial the directors actually made their purest film or one least ‘corrupted’ by the side-shows.. Whatever their level is they stuck to the plot more than in just about any other film. Race 2 isn’t doing that. I’d be very surprised if it doesn’t land a big initial. Trending might be weak but this was so even for the first one.
This excites me. I loved the 1st part which was easily Abbas-Mustan’s best film (for whatever they are worth) since Baazigar and Khiladi. On the other hand Players was pathetic
Agree with Amy about the ‘generic’ bit .
This may well be saifs biggest solo hit of his career
But for me –what a fall from the high ‘cocktail’ standards –I’m not joking lol
Btw who is the heroine/s here …
looks like turkey is the hot spot for action films these days. im assuming the back ground on the posters is turkey. anyway A-B movies never interest me..and this one doesn’t either. boring stuff from them for the past 20 years.

Vidya has proven herself in Kahaanni….and Mrs Jr.B..I think can give anyone a run for their money..as in the case of the first Dhoom flick..Rani..too..but I think they all need more of a challenge to extend their acting skills like stretching the muscles..if not they’re just a bunch of pretty faces..

This appears to be a remake of Nadodigall, but they’ve really taken out the “down home” vibe of the original, making it seem like the kids are play-acting at being their characters.
Hmm — good to see john(Satyam) with jackie now & Satyam has displayed those pics!! Haha enjoy Satyam but be careful m8..
As for the spoof–checked –there r a couple of songs in addition to the ‘cult’ lat lag gayi!
A ‘party song’ which isn’t appropriate as of now with the Delhi incident -maybe in a few days

Sanjana has a certain unbiased ‘balance’ besides the asstt director.
Will ask sanjana to suggest who should play deepika in this song track (she can volunteer as well)
If not, I will have to take a pick ha

After AV, Saif does not have the same appeal.
Add to it, he is now officially Mr.Kareena Kapoor.
Only Deepika and some good music can save the movie.
And akshaye will be missed as he was more than an integral part of Race.
