Jesus, talk about a pointless trailer. Jimmy Shergill and some wonderfully atmospheric havelis were the only salvageable features of the first one, but I don’t think those will be enough to tempt me a second time.
Q – this is purely a master business trick or a package if one says so. Haveli – Zamindar(Sahib) – beautiful and sexy wife who is game for adultry and then you chip in a gangster who is a pawn for the wife….this is a theme which touches audiences’ psyche since last 89000 years and will keep touching for another 78000 years Budget would be hardly 5 cr and it will easily run away to 50 cr. So who is complaining……..Maahi Gill surely has in her to make all men go weak while watching this stuff on big screen and u add irfaan to the package so critics will go orgasmic on the performance side
Just saw the first part the other week and enjoyed it a lot. Nowhere near as good as say Dhulias HAASIL, CHARAS or PAAN SINGH TOMAR, but still a enjoyable film.
Was it me, or did the entire film have a Macbeth/Maqbool hangover? Even Mahie Gill (sexy as hell) reminded me of Tabu in parts. Jimmy Sheirgill remains one of the most underrated actors in the industry and I loved his act here. Randeep Hooda was good, but I think the sequel holds promise just to see Jimmy/Dhulia/Irrfan/Mahie together, though the premise looks to be exactly the same again…
As I said, I didn’t mind the first part at all for it’s ambience (the old havelis, castles etc) as well the integration of old royal families and their nexus with the criminal underworld and politics.
Not yet, its been on the TO SEE list for a while, but haven’t got around to it yet. I do think Parineeti has a refreshingly charming screen presence compared to a lot of other actresses. There’s something very earthy and grounded about her which makes a nice difference. What’s your take on Arjun Kapoor?
I expect it will be good at minimum given Habib Faisal is involved…
