Good girl –this film needs a revisit –plz remind me–busy, no time rite now!!
OG –ok then– lets get back to the H, I mean ‘work’
We need to learn some Tarantino ‘action’ from anya ha
Nanda and Rajesh Khanna made a cute pair in Joroo Ka Ghulam. Dhool ka Phool and Jab Jab Phool Khile were her other famous movies. One of the dreamy and soothing songs ye sama (lata) was picturised on her in Jab Jab Phool khile.
Agreed Sanjana, I always liked Nanda (Blame it on my Ma, its her all time fav). As some of them know here, My father knew Manmohan Desai, and we owned a business close to his office/home in Khetwadi, My dad often tells stories of Nanda coming to meet him at the office very often in the late 70s and early 80′s. From what my father tells me, he truly loved her and wanted to marry her. But her sons and family were dead against it and that was one of the reasons why he committed suicide (I am sure that’s known to all). Just a little Trivia on Nanda from my dad, She used to have a chocolate Brown Fiat and a bright red contessa that she used to come in. Usually came with no make up and her man friday was always with her (it was a women though). And the driver who used to bring her always hung out at my fathers business (restaurant) and said Nanda was very kind and generous during festive seasons to him and his family giving gifts bonuses etc. Will have to talk to dad again with more stories, don’t remember them now.
Now that you mentioned it, I do some resemblance in a striking light. But, I would think the correct term would be “poor man’s Meena Kumari” haha. But yeah, I see what you are saying. My fav of hers is ofcourse Jab Jab Phool Khile and Iteefaq, It was a very complex role and she did it beautifully.
Ha, It does sound like it was my father in love with Nanda, No that was meant for MD. Yeah like that film a lot, seen it many times. Love the song Khwaab Ho tum Yo Koi Haqeeqat.
Haha knew it must be a typo-hope u didn’t mind …
But even if it was true— not bad to love a heroine … Lol

Not a big fan of Nanda.
But a great song here of Salilda’s – sung awesomely by Lata and Talat:

One of my favourite songs.

I don’t mind her. A great friend of Waheeda Rehman adds to her importance . LOL
She had some lovely songs picturized on her. This one with Dev Anand.

This is a great one two.
Her acting wasn’t bad either.

Btw 3 deviyan is one of the rare old films I’ve watched -& think complete film…
An under rated film — may opine on it someday

Thanks. Nanda had a unique presence in films. She was also called as mini Meena Kumari for her emotional roles. She resembled her somewhat.
