Kilimanjaro is my favorite from Endhiran but I’m surprised Irumbile Oru wasn’t ahead on the list. It seemed the most popular from the album.

From VV I would have selected a few other songs over Hosanna. The only songs I like from this list leaving aside Rahman (where multiple songs could have been cited from Enthiran and VV) are the ones from Goa, Baana Kathaadi, and to an extent the Mynaa number.

Thanks for putting this up, a useful thread for me as I’ve fallen behind on Tamil music over the last few months. Recently heard Harris Jayaraj’s much-praised Engeyum Kaadal, but was disappointed (I thought only one song — Dhimu Dhimu — was very good, and even that had somewhat of a Roobaroo (Rang de Basanti) hangover)…

Listened to the Myna song out of curiosity to see how Shaan had sung it.Not a bad job though obviously his pronunciation is far from good -better than the horror that Udit Narayan unleashed on us. On second thoughts, even the native Tamil singers pronounciation is so awful -unlike those of yesteryears. Sonu Nigam is good .

paiyaa song should have been number one. kilimanjaro is nothing when compared to thuli thuli. kilimanjaro has no feel. it’s only because of rajini that it is in first position.

this year vtv must get all the awards, mind blowing music all the songs are good. next comes endiraan songs and paiya takes third place.
