Sachin Bhowmick passes away..


Legendary film writer Sachin Bhowmick passed away today. He had written stories and screenplays for over 70 films in his lifetime. He started his writing career with Lajwanti in 1958, starring Nargis. His famous works are Brahmachari, Aradhana, Pehchan and Aan Milo Sajnaa. Most recently, he wrote films like Koi… Mil Gaya, Kisna and Krrish.

He has worked mostly with filmmakers J Om Prakash, Nasir Hussain, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Pramod Chakravorty, Subhash Ghai and Rakesh Roshan .

He directed only one film in his lifetime — called Raja Rani in 1973 — starring Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore.
