Hmmm: Satyam : u said u are ‘unwell’
With this sort of stuff, don’t think u will get ‘well’ soon!!
Actually like praveen Babi (infact prefer her mostly to zeenat aman)
Ps: but I guess I know why Satyam has chosen THIS photo of her …haha

Oh I infinitely prefer her to Zeenat Aman. On the rest this is part of my ‘get well’ program! Jokes aside I’m quite alright.

Thanks a lot for this Satyam. She was the first actress whom i had a crush on. Not only was she was the 1st Indian heroine to be on the cover of Time but also IMO she was the most beautiful lady to have graced the silver screen (I infinitely prefer her over Zeenat baby, Hema, Madhuri, Nutan and the likes). Always loved her chemistry with AB- really liked her sweet yet stylish avatar as Jenny in AAA. And the image of her smoking a cigarette in Deewar- she looked smouldering hot there

If I had to pick the single most gorgeous actress of Hindi cinema I’d probably go with Hema Malini. Can’t say I prefer Babi to madhuri though! But yes definitely very pretty.

My personal all time favorites were Praveen Babi, Heema Malini, and then Madhuri Dixit; Madhuri being my favorite of all time.

Satyam: I’m pleasantly surprised by that good choice from u.
Hema malini in her younger peak days was truly astounding and actually infact is the heroine with the most ‘longevity’…
But the alltime crown has to go to aishwarya…
Ps: between rani and hema/aishwarya u surely have covered some distance now 🙂

But this lead me to interesting question, which Indian Actress had the best bikini scene on screen… hopefully alex and others can throw some light. ( on a thread for extra or miscellanious, if this is not a good place!)

Hmmm difficult question …lemme recollect
Btw the one u showed above is not bad 🙂
Dimple: sagar/bobby
Mumtaaz: in a film with feroz khan (can’t recollect name of movie)
Zeenat aman: in some films
Anushka sharma : Ricky bahl ( a hesitant performance)
Deepikas in cocktail and bipasha weren’t much to write about imo
Missing a few
Maybe the other guys n gals can ‘fill in’ ( the bikinis) hahaha

I beg to differ on Zeenat and Parveen. To my mind there is no comparison. Zeenat was the original , who defined hip for a whole generation. Parveen was just a wannabe. Zeenat hada personality. Who can for get her singing Chura Liya. Or Dum Maro Dum. She could shoulder a mainstream heroine-oriented film like Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Manoranjan or Satyam Shivam Sundram. She could play the hroine to someone like Manoj Kumar in roti Kpada aur Makaan or Firoze Khan in Qurbani. If any doubt about who sizzles hotter you just have to play aap Jiase Koi from Qurbani. That will be the ultimate argument-settler.

not denying Zeenat’s greater iconic stature. Just wasn’t a fan though.

agree with Utkal, Zeenat in RKAM( hai hai yeh majboori) and Qurbani and Don alone is miles ahead of Parveen Babi…

“She [Parveen Babi] enjoys the distinction of being the first Indian heroine to be featured on the cover of the prestigious Time magazine, the picture being from her incomplete Chamatkar, directed by Pramod Chakravorty and co-starring Rajesh Khanna, in July 1976…..”

Try this fora load of Zeenat oomph. ” Kya dekhte ho?” ” soorat tumhari” he replies. ” Kya chahte ho?” ” Chahat tumhari”, he replies. but the answers are obvious from the direction of Feroze’s gaze.
By the way, I think bikini is no big deal for Indian viewers as the mid-riff and the cleavage gets to be revealed in most versions of the sarees our heroines wear. But if I have to choose, it has to be the scene in Bobby, because it was such a charged scene.

rubbish! its bad comparing between zeenat and parveen, each had their own identity ,in fact parveen had her own grace and zeenat had her own charm, both are lovely and were at the top in their peak time, but wen it comes who is more prettier among each other i will definetly choose parveen she was more prettier and good looking than zeenat in fact zeenat was sexy but not good looking i hope !
