  1. Seems like a cut above a couple of the recent Mahesh Babu offerings (I couldn’t sit through Dookudu)… but god I wish Shruti Haasan hadn’t been cast here…

    • Check out his recent “1: Nenokkadine”. It was a flop because he tried to experiment with a psychological thriller (mixed with regular masala), but it’s much better than some of his recent films and is a very enjoyable watch. Aagadu was terrible though. His family film with Venkatesh, “Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu” is also pretty decent.

    • She’s acting opposite to almost all top young stars in telugu and tamil. she’s now the most sought out actress.. 🙂

      • Sadly, it seems like being light-skinned is the biggest qualification for a Telugu heroine 😦 Ileana at least is so pretty, but Tamannah Bhatia?!

        • She is able to speak tamil Telugu herself and is also able to sing herself. So not just white skin. She n Samantha are top actresses now for this reason. They are our chennai girls.

          • She has to improve. Recently in an interview when kamalji was asked about her, he said he didn’t like any of her work and she has to improve. In film called 3, she and dhanush did well so I found that v harsh from a father.

          • I haven’t seen any of previous Rajamouli movies but Baahubali scale is something extraordinary for an Indian movie.

    • Q: Certainly one of the most ambitious Indian films ever and the last 30 minute war sequence easily betters most of the contemporary ones from Hollywood IMO (though Killa IMO is the Indian film of the year till now as far as I a concerned). And waiting for your piece. Magadheera is pretty mediocre, but you MUST check out Eega.

      • I didn’t think Eega was that special to be honest. Pretty entertaining but it didn’t match the hype. At least for me. I’d take Shankar’s ‘bug sequence’ in Enthiran to anything in Eega.

        • Yeah, I have seen Eega, but my sense of it is similar to Satyam’s; I will confess that there is something so richly perverse about it that one can’t just dismiss it, but must confess to it as to a guilty pleasure… in an era where everybody acts faux-gangster and stripper in music videos, there’s something genuinely transgressive about a fly (am I the only one to think of that cross-linguistic pun? :))…
