Had been looking forward to this. One of my favourite novels, and anytime Tabu acts in a movie, one should be thankful. I do feel however that Rekha, the original choice, would have been more ideal… if only because Tabu, so soon after Haider, evokes a sense of similitude in another Kashmir setting. It does however take forward the Oedipal concerns of that film.
