    This works much better than Kapoor and Sons. Arjun and Kareena are natural. And the comedy flows smooth. A good change of track for Balki.

    Looks fresh. Balki is one of the only directors who makes different films. Said that, he should have taken Abhishek for this if he wants to repay Bachchan. Kind of cinema Abhi should do.

    Arjun looks lax per usual.

    Too heavy handed. The language is trite. As usual, they tell rather than show rather than the other way round. But chemistry between Kareena and Arjun is very cute.

    You guessed it right. Infact Balki went to Abhishek with this script. What transpared between them a source told me. They talked in Hindi so here it goes.

    बल्की – अभि अपनी पिछली तीन फिल्मों की तरह इस बार भी मेरे पास एक नॉवेल और फ्रेश स्टोरी है..काम करोगे ?

    अभि – अफकोर्स बल्की सर..क्या स्टोरी है ?

    बल्की – ये एक हाउस हसबैंड की स्टोरी है..बीवी कमाती है..हसबैंड घर संभालता है

    अभि – बल्की सर..कहानी तो बढ़िया है..मुझ पर सूट भी करेगी..ऐसा लगता है मेरी ही कहानी है,लेकिन आप तो जानते ही हैं कि सोशल मीडिया से लेकर आम ज़िंदगी में लोग मेरा मजाक उड़ाते हैं..अगर ये फिल्म करूंगा तो लोग कहेंगे कि रीयल लाइफ की एक्टिंग अब रील लाइफ में भी करने लगा है..

    बल्की – सही बोल रहे हो अभि..ये बात तो मेरे दिमाग में आई ही नहीं

    अभि – वैसे सर स्टोरी ज़बरदस्त है..मैं अगर इसमें एक्टिंग करता तो बेस्ट एक्टर का कंटेडर हो सकता था..गुरु में अच्छी एक्टिंग की तो ऐश्वर्या मिल गई..की और का में अच्छी एक्टिंग करता तो शायद फिल्म फेयर मिल जाता,लेकिन ये फिल्म करने पर सोशल मीडिया पर भाई लोग मेरा मजाक बना देंगे

    बल्की – तुम्हारी मुश्किल मैं समझ सकता हूं अभि..अब तुम्ही बताओ मैं क्या करूं

    अभि – बल्की सर..क्या फिल्म में हीरो-हीरोइन का कोई बच्चा भी है..अगर है तो अराध्या को ले लेते हैं..ऐश्वर्या तो सरबजीत की एक्टिंग में बिजी रहेगी..अराध्या अगर फिल्म में होगी तो मैं एक्टिंग के साथ-साथ उसकी देखभाल भी कर लूंगा..

    बल्की – नहीं अभि..की एंड का न्यूली मैरिड कपल्स की कहानी है..हीरो-हीरोइन का कोई बच्चा या बच्ची नहीं है

    अभि – बल्की सर..तब तो नहीं कर पाऊंगा मैं ये फिल्म..

    बल्की – तो अब मैं क्या करूं ?

    अभि – अर्जुन कपूर को क्यों नहीं ले लेते..कई लोग उसे Rich men’s अभिषेक बच्चन भी कहते हैं..दाढ़ी-वाढ़ी रखकर मेरा जैसा ही लगता है..

    बल्की – ठीक है अभि….अर्जुन को ही ले लेता हूं..मुझे एक Star Son चाहिए था…तुम नहीं तो अर्जुन ही सही..I am proud of both of you..तुम दोनों अपने-अपने पिताओं का नाम रोशन कर रहे हैं..बेस्ट ऑफ लक..

      Ha! I couldn’t get all of that – tried translator as well! But got the
      gist of it. Recall that Ash and Abhi were to do a remake of ‘Abhi’man?!

      Just thought this one by Balki would have been apt for Abhi.

    Where are Bachchan and Jaya Dadi in the trailer? Does Balki want to throw a surprise or the reason is something else? Balki being a total fanatic of the actor so’ I was expecting the old couple in a substantial role.Let’s be positive here and hope there is big surprise element in the film.Moreover, I am waiting for an essay in this matter without going personal.
