SRK- Imtiaz Ali movie has already begun in Prauge and its a nonstop 3 month shoot till November and it’ll be wrapped by then and December starts the Anand L Rai’s movie.
Whereas Crack will only start shooting in Feb 2017.
Crack is definitely coming in August 2017. They will wrap up the shooting within 45 days with one single marathon schedule, from what I read in a report.
I think baring a Salman/Aamir Khan the days of single holiday releases are gone. Expect more such clashes during festive periods. There are few such periods during the year and around 10 actors vying for them.
Even SRK has found it tough to get a solo release. Raees had to back away because of Sultan. It now faces Kaabil. Ranbir is up against Devgan for Diwali. There was Hrithik v Akshay Kumar on Independance Day and Dilwale v BM for last Chistmas.

When Tusshar welcomed a baby boy born via IVF and surrogacy last June, the unmarried actor was unanimously applauded by Bollywood folk on the bold move. Experts also commented how the instance would give courage to many others to opt for assisted reproduction. But dealing a blow to the aspirations of wannabe parents, the Cabinet on Wednesday cleared the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill that seeks to replace commercial surrogacy. The new legislation, arguably, denies the right to surrogacy to single people, live-in partners, homosexuals and even married couples, who have co-parented biological or adopted children earlier.
Very good decision by government. They are recommending that those who are not married and want a child (Tushar) or those having 2 kids and don’t want their star wife to suffer (SRK) should adopt a child instead of getting a surrogate child.
It was becoming a status symbol for rich people just the way income tax raid is considered prestigious by rich and they congratulate each other and welcome “Rich but not noticed” to “Rich and noticed” club…same way such clubs were formed with regards to surrogacy “Mom with Kids after pain” Vs “Mom with kids without pain”.

Incidentally Kiran went in for surrogacy after dealing with more than one miscarriage. Kiran has often spoken about the immense happiness her child has brought into her life, how she feels fulfilled.What business does the government have to control people’s families? All that is needed is strict control and regulation.
The minister has spoken about allowing family members to assist in surrogate delivery. This sort of leeway can actually be detrimental. There is every chance that certain family members may force and emotionally blackmail another female member to help carry and deliver — against the latter’s wish. There is room for misuse of this provision.

Story.

As only close relatives can conceive for childless couple. And then Akshay starts kidnapping surrogate babies conceived outside law and keeps them in a secluded house while their parents cry and cry. But Akshay’s heart is so full of new found nationalism, he brushes their concerns asisde and starts lecturing them about how wrong they are. This film will be released on Independence Day and will mint money until it reaches 130 crores. Another hit for Akshay Kumar. And Akshay kumar’s profession is an air force officer. The man with a uniform.

Easiest thing to do.
Salman’s next film will be that of a marathon runner in a Olympic race. Death vault cant be performed by him. He is too heavy for that. He will run without drinking water or anything even when offered by eager coach. Back story. His mother ran a marathon but fainted. So he wanted to fulfil her wish to become a medal winner. His mother’s role will be played by Reema Lagoo. Salman’s girl friend will be Deepika, the leggy beauty who can run like a cheetah but choses marathon. And then, Salman should write the rest of the story assisted by his family. There will be usual dances and merriment. It will cross PK collections as ticket prices will be doubled than what was for Sultan. It will run towards 400 crores with Deepika as the heroine to boot.
Sounded a better story than Aamir’s last century’s (don’t remember which year it released) movie PK š

There are far more important issues to be dealt with in a country like India than to go after ‘rich kids’ through IVF.

Akshay via making profitable movies and Amitabh via his investments in share has been consistently being featured since several years. Akshay has also been recognized by Income Tax department for paying taxes before time every year, and him being features makes him even more special than other stars from India.
Aamir has for sometime kept himself out of the rat race; he doesn’t even consider himself a star anymore. It’s mostly others — especially fans of Akshay, Salman, SRK — who keep snapping on about Aamir — who is busy with his few films and his real-life commitments. His fans are happy enough with whoever he is. Others can stop bothering about him.

Rustom was a fiction with a very scant similarity to Nanavati case. The courtroom scenes made a mockery of the whole case. It could have been a great movie but was dealt in a very superfluous manner.
Movie’s profitability has nothing to do with Akshay’s earning. Irrespective of box office performance he is among the top earners in last few years. Even when he was delivering flops on consistent basis his earnings saw a spiraling rise.
So I wtached Mohenjo Daro last night to stay awake till midnigt for Shree Krishna Janmashthmi !

They have Dangal and Jagga Jassoos coming up, but maybe that did not seem to be a viable reason to renew their partnership contract.

Rustom did well in its second week grossing over 25 crore nett and taking its two week total to over 114.50 crore. The film had a drop of around 71% which is the normal drop in the second week The business of Rustom till date is as follows.
First Week – 89,35,00,000
Second Week – 25,25,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL – 1,14,60,00,000
The second week collections are the third highest of the year after Sultan and Airlift. The latter was tax free in UP in the second week. The second week collections are higher than Housefull 3 which was in the 22.50 crore nett range. The distributor share of the film is 58 crore in two weeks and it should cross Airlift in a few days and the GROSS business will also cross Airlift soon. The NETT business of Airlift was 123.50 crore nett and that should also be beaten but it may have to wait till week four for that to happen.
Akshay Kumar has only one film which has topped 125 crore nett and that is Rowdy Rathore and Airlift could be the second one. The biggest career hits of Akhshay Kumar are Mohra (199 cr adjusted nett) and Rowdy Rathore (186 crore adjusted nett).
Thats a wrong comparison, Akshay kumar is not in the league of Khans. They operate at a different level. But given his recent medium successes he is definitely ahead of Ajay Devgan, Saif Ali Khan etc.
71% is too much of a drop for a film that has been liked and that’s a smaller level deal, hence not maximizing its audience. But it proves once again that no matter what Akshay does, he can star in these more meaningful films or the most commercial ones, he can have competition or not, ultimately he operates in that 100-130 range. Nothing has changed in this sense. He clearly has a ceiling in terms of the audience he can attract and this despite a good track record in recent years where he’s done more sensible stuff than not.
dont agree with that, Rustom had MD for competition and would have done 15-20 crores atleast if it was a solo release. His next movie Jolly LLB will not do as well as it may not appeal to the multiplex audience. What is suprising to me is he has really underperformed in the comedy genre. SIK 2 and HF3 should have done much better
my point is that irrespective of genre and irrespective of competition he doesn’t cross that range. of course Rustom had competition but some others didn’t.

Akshay has lots of limitations. Actually there are several stars who have all the above and more than Akshay, like Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, And Salman, Aamir and SRK of course have these consistently.
That one can still be hugely successful and appreciated is what separates Akshay. Noone apart from him has proved despite not having basic ingredients considered to be successantra, one can still be successful by sheer hard work and discipline. Millions like his for this trait. It doesn’t matter that the more gifted ones can still be ahead. The success is when Not So gifted is still in the race and giving a fight to those who are gifted. For me that’s the real superstar.
Only close relatives can be āsurrogate mothersā, and once in a lifetime. Yet, it bars foreigners, homosexual couples, unmarried couples and single people from taking the help of an altruistic surrogate ā leaving it open to questions about discrimination and inequality.
The sex determination ban is a principled one, for it underlines intolerance for gender discrimination. The question is whether surrogacy is as big an evil as female foeticide. If it indeed is ā and the jury is still out on this ā why not ban surrogacy altogether? How does it suddenly become acceptable if the surrogate mother is a relative and uncompensated, besides probably being coerced, as women often are in intra-family decision-making? These are questions that will remain even if the Bill is passed.

This works with interiors and hinterland. In current situation, friends and social circle are more close than close relatives. Almost all the majority of upper middle class and rich people just meet ‘relatives’ formally and don’t get along well and I don’t think they will take their help in such a big matter. This is too restricting.

Everything is done for some consideration. If it is relatioship with coerciveness, friends with emotional obligations why not for money? Many poor or lower middleclass women hope to build future with that money. Why to deprive the poor of something and leave them to face unmitigated poverty or suicide? If prostitution is legal, why not surrogacy? Being a woman, the minister should think from all angles.

The article mentions that, āThe Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act, 1956 (āITPAā), the main statute dealing with sex-work in India, does not criminalize prostitution or prostitutes per se, but mostly punishes acts by third parties facilitating prostitution like brothel keeping, living off earnings and procuring, even where sex-work is not coerced.ā
If a person is found guilty of assisting or managing prostitution, he can be jailed for a term of not less than one year and not more than three years.
It also attracts a fine of up to Rs 2,000. In case of second or subsequent convictions, the punishment increases with a rigorous imprisonment of not less than two years and not more than five years. He may also be fined up to Rs 2,000. If a person is found guilty of forcing a person to carry on as a prostitute, he can be punished with a term ranging from three years to seven years and also a fine of Rs 2,000. For second or subsequent conviction, the punishment can go up to a term of fourteen years.

Both adoption & surrogacy are beautiful options. Being a parent it would devastate me if we could not have a child. Having my own offspring would be my number 1 choice nothing to do with power or money, more to do with genes as when you marry you marry a partner in mind for a family usually. Being in love you want to see emotionally & physically how a mini me develops.
Without such an option IMO just restricts a desired option of many. 1St child or 3rd.
Adoption is an avenue for many and is beautiful too. Everyone deserves that base foundation in life to prosper.
I don’t see fault in either really but one should be able to understand the dynamics of either & why one would lean to either.
It’s a dumb way of thinking about as its highly unlikely but what if there were no children to adopt what happens? & what age are these children. The beauty of carrying part of your own from birth should not be restricted. The people who choose this path may psycholigically be better parents. Some people are born with defects, imagine a female who simply could not give birth. How emotionally devastated she would be to not conceive but not surrogate either.
Society views both differently, here I back Naveen. More should be done to promote adoption awareness as I suspect this can have some stigma.

I think the bill advocates surrogacy as the need of the hour and only attempts to control it.
The misuse in India was so rampant that it led to deaths of poor women while giving birth, getting complications post birth and what not. the controls in the bills addresses these issues and most importantly also urges to give adoption a second chance and not consider it as inferior option. The larger issue is not about childless parent but about the child and the mother giving birth to the child.
And to add another rampant case- if during surrogacy birth, a special child was born the childless parent were not accepting the special child. A horrendous crime.
As I said this bill is to protect the child and mother. This does give childless parents a disadvantage as mentioned by others. But no one for a word mentioned about the child or the incumbent mother in their thoughts and hence my difference in opinion.

One wants one’s own dna so that that one day child will not turn against its parents and say, you are not my real parents. The possibility of this happening in adoptions is more. Further the adopted child will not get 100 percent love from its adopted parents in some cases.

Having said that I do not find SRK and Aamir going for the third child when they already have two of their own. Kiran Rao cant consider Reena’s kids as her own as Reena is there for them. But I respect their spaces and choices.

If you think hard (and maturely) you will realize both are different issues. One is adopting a child to end your boredom and have your legacy forward. Another one is to have your own offspring, who looks like you, have many of your habits and is almost of a mini version of the father/mother. This kind of high or feeling can’t be filled by adoption. Both are different wants and adoption can’t fill your own offspring feeling.
Not sure you are married or have kids but someday you’ll understand this, its never the same. Then why even have kids.. as soon one is married, just adopt as there are millions already in orphanage.. why wait for some health issue for the adoption?
I know several families who have adopted and had not faced any issues so far as far as not having the same lineage is concerned. Of course they are quite a patents for the child and have adopted when child was less than one year old.
I do take the point of lineage and hence appreciate the government’s approval of getting a surrogate to couples for first child.
Basically I think the difference in our argument is from where each is coming from.
My inspirations is to support Adoption to help an orphan and I am quite emotional about it and felt surrogacy has hurt this cause with continuous drop in addition world wide post surrogacy.

Nope, nothing to do with freedom of choice yet. It just doesn’t’ make sense. Lets say, mine is a very big family circle and in that we have 3-4 instances where the kid has been adopted from other close relatives. Like two brothers, one brother had 4 daughters and 2nd no kids and when 4th kid was born, he gave it to bro 1st day. Similarly others did and 1 more where 2 kids of the female were given when the mom died after delivery. Such cases are so many.. if we have really close relative, we can directly take their new-born kid. No need for this artificial insertion and surrogacy natak. Why not just have natural offspring and then adopt it? What does surrogacy helping here?
Ok lets talk about close relative and surrogacy. If there’s a couple who can’t have kids, will the guy’s sisters(close relative) will do artificial insertion to have his kid?? No, right? They would rather have natural pregnancy with their own husband and then give the kid to them once born. Secondly, there are very few close relatives who will be ever ready to do this. This will become more or less adoption inside family circle and going away from the concept of surrogacy. If a person doesn’t have kids, currently he will take one of the kids from his brother or sister when they are born. That’s how the basic adoption exists and if you really don’t have close family then you go for adoption centers. But now Govt wants us to go to “close relatives” and instead of telling them to give their kid.. tells them.. do this artificial insertion and then give the kid to me. Lol.. how does it matter or help.. better to take their natural offspring born by natural process and which close relatives will accept more than this IVF. So, IMHO this kind of surrogacy suggested will never be useful for anyone.
And finally movie talk for which this blog exists. A Flying Jatt is mainly targetted at kids and is funny at places and does well in its 1st half. Almost everything you see in this movie is already seen feeling but there are some funny jokes which reminded me of Hancock where Superhero is not really powerful and doesn’t use his powers well. Some jokes are good buts its the 2nd half which ruins the movie and goes for a huge fall. Looks like Modi’s swach bharat message has been taken too seriously and ruins a superhero movie into environmental lecture. 2nd half is mess to say the least.
Tiger is alright and average. He struggles at places and unable to carry comic & casual sequences but he excels in action. He’s never going to be a top ‘actor’ but at least he looked and performed well in Baaghi but this isn’t his best and weakness crop up here and there.Jacquline looked bad(her worst) and older for Tiger age wise. Nathan Jones screams and shouts and does nothing else but gives the freshness to the movie. KK Menon is okay.. nothing to talk about. But overall.. the movie will be fine on TV and that too targeting kids. For Adults and rest, this can be skipped. Movie can do average business and might touch 50 crores as the genre is good and kids can take fancy in 1st weekend. Not Recommended for Adults but if you have kids, you can take them for 1st half.
Forgot to mention last night but the best 2 performances of the movie belong to Amrita Singh (the best Sardarni/Punjabi mom in the industry now) and Gaurav Pandey, who plays Tiger’s brother and has superb comic timing. Both of them managed to engage quite a few sequences in the 1st half.
Taapsee Pannu to play lead in Baby sequel; Akshay Kumar to only make a cameo
After giving a stellar performance in the 2015 film Baby, Akshay Kumar will not be playing a lead role in its sequel. Reports have suggested that the actor will only be doing a cameo in the film, while Tapsee Pannu will be seen as the lead. The film will be titled Meera after Pannu’s character, who was called Priya in the original.
DNA reports, āBaby 2 will revolve around Taapsee Pannuās character. The story will show her backstory of how she eventually became a special agent and will mainly be about her secret mission this time. Taapsee will have a powerful action role.ā
The buzz is that Manoj Bajpayee And Prithviraj will also be a part of the film. It won’t be Neeraj Pandey directing the film, but Shivam Nair.
According to earlier reports however, Pandey was pretty excited about making a sequel to Baby. He had said to Times of India last year, “The concept of the franchise and the sequel were clear in my head even while I was writing Baby. I am excited that my cast and producers are bringing the film back in 2017.”
It was earlier said that Varun Dhawan had been approached by the makers for the film and that Pandey would begin work on it post his biopic of MS Dhoni.
It seems that it was Kumar’s idea to cast Pannu in the lead after he was impressed by her action sequence in the hotel in Baby.
Meanwhile Akshay and Neeraj will be collaborating for another film, Crack, which is also set for an Independence Day release.

Interestingly the sequel will not be called Baby 2. Glad that Akshay and Neeraj will be joining hands for the spy thriller this time as producer.
A Flying Jatt had better collections on Saturday and despite being day three it had the best figures of it run as it just edged past the first day figures of the film. Below is first three day business of A Flying Jatt.
Saw this film. Not bad at all (not that good either), Tiger definitely has a future. He actually isn’t half bad at comedy/emotional scenes- he looks like a kid in those…which he is. His Action/Dance skills are amazing- but he does this one flip a lot which looks like a ballet move lol. I guess one could say Flying Jatt is kind of like the Koi Mil Gaya for kids of this generation. In that sense I know Hrithik has a huge Children fan base, and I think Tiger can/will take his place here. He also seems more genuinely nicer and innocent than Hrithik has ever been. The only thing is I wish his action moves were a little more macho, but maybe in this 2016 PC world this is the future of the action hero/

The Sidharth Malhotra-Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho has been granted a ‘UA’ certificate by the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). But only after a shot of a brassiere was removed from the film.
An angry member of the Baar Baar Dekho team expostulates, “Are we living in the Victorian era when women’s innerwear was never spoken of in public? Years ago in 1995 there was a bra shot featuring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. And Baar Baar Dekho is directed by a woman. So the chances of lingerie being used to titillate the audience are nil.”
Apparently the censor board refused to certify the film until the “offensive” shot was removed.
Another cut that the CBFC demanded was to do with a naughty reference to ‘Savita Bhabhi’ the comic book porn character whose sexual exploits are devoured on the internet by millions of her fans. Says the source, “The CBFC asked the producers of Baar Baar Dekho to delete a reference to Savita Bhabhi. The name is used in a jokey light-hearted manner in the film. If a porn reference is objectionable then how come Sunny Leone’s name was used A Flying Jatt?”
Contradictions apart, Baar Baar Dekho has now been certified by the CBFC with a ‘UA’ certificate, the bra visual and ‘Savita Bhabhi’ reference duly knocked off.
Over the weekend gone by, A Flying Jatt collected almost double of the other two Hindi films in the running ā Happy Bhag Jayegi and Rustom. A. The India adjusted GROSS figures are here. So you already have one film Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun above the PK worldwide gross of 743 crore and that is just with India figures. Obviously the inflation of ticket rates in Overseas has not gone up as fast as it has in India so its unlikely any of the other films in the link are above PK. Maybe Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has a chance. There will be worldwide inflation adjusted list but that will come after the data of all releases in th 90’s decade goes up on the site.
Q. What are the footfalls of Sultan and are they more than PK as it should have done more in single screens?
A. It has done more in single screens but ticket rates were a bit higher and the collections are also around 30 crore short as in GROSS collections. The apprx number is 3.25 crore which is more than 3 Idiots but less than PK. Also less than Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Q. It is reported many times of Box Office India that action is the best bet for initial so can Akira which has more action than most Hindi films going by the trailer take an initial?
A. There is a format for a Hindi action film as far as story telling and presentation goes and Akira is not that format. Akira seems does not have any pluses as far as initial is concerned and also the trailer was launched sometime back which can’t be done if no music to back it up. By the time of release the film seems to look stale as there is just a theatrical. Still the director has made a couple of well appreciated films in Holiday and Ghajini so that is the reason the film can’t be totally ruled out ath the box office.
Q. Did Kabali eventually become the highest Tamil film?
A. No. Across the country it fell short of Einthiran (Robot) while in the home state it was short of a couple of other films as well as Einthiran
The first teaser trailer of Karan Joharās upcoming romantic flick āAe Dil Hai Mushkilā has been making all the right noises around town. Everything, from its intriguing story line to Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchanās steamy scenes along with Fawad Khanās appearance and Anushka Sharmaās character has kept fans guessing about the film. If the promos put out more bedroom scenes of aish /Ranbir, the family audience going by KANK reception will just keep away which is a big no for diwali outings.
On another note if Devgn movie has a strong villain or someone really fearful / powerful / OTT like what they have in superhero movies , Shivaay will score otherwise ADHM would pull ahead at least with the opening. But with Ranbir you never know, it may tank on the initial itself going by the past records.

The very sweet, charming and debonair SRK will be soon seen in a varied role in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming The Ring. If reports are to be believed the dimpled actor SRK will be seen in the role of a womaniser in The RIng.
The Ring also stars NH 10 actress Anushka Sharma. SRK is at present shooting for the film in Prague. His role is reportedly very much on the lines of the role of the legendary actor Dev Anand in film Guide that was the role of a tourist guide. Crack is definitely coming in August 2017. They will wrap up the shooting within 45 days with one single marathon schedule, from what I read in a report.
I think baring a Salman/Aamir Khan the days of single holiday releases are gone. Expect more such clashes during festive periods. There are few such periods during the year and around 10 actors vying for them.
Even SRK has found it tough to get a solo release. Raees had to back away because of Sultan. It now faces Kaabil. Ranbir is up against Devgan for Diwali. There was Hrithik v Akshay Kumar on Independance Day and Dilwale v BM for last Chistmas.

Very good decision by government. They are recommending that those who are not married and want a child (Tushar) or those having 2 kids and don’t want their star wife to suffer (SRK) should adopt a child instead of getting a surrogate child.
It was becoming a status symbol for rich people just the way income tax raid is considered prestigious by rich and they congratulate each other and welcome “Rich but not noticed” to “Rich and noticed” club…same way such clubs were formed with regards to surrogacy “Mom with Kids after pain” Vs “Mom with kids without pain”.
This is a very wise and good move by government.

Incidentally Kiran went in for surrogacy after dealing with more than one miscarriage. Kiran has often spoken about the immense happiness her child has brought into her life, how she feels fulfilled.What business does the government have to control people’s families? All that is needed is strict control and regulation.
The minister has spoken about allowing family members to assist in surrogate delivery. This sort of leeway can actually be detrimental. There is every chance that certain family members may force and emotionally blackmail another female member to help carry and deliver — against the latter’s wish. There is room for misuse of this provision.

I want to write stories for Akshay kumar’s films and Salman’s.
Easiest thing to do.
Salman’s next film will be that of a marathon runner in a Olympic race. Death vault cant be performed by him. He is too heavy for that. He will run without drinking water or anything even when offered by eager coach. Back story. His mother ran a marathon but fainted. So he wanted to fulfil her wish to become a medal winner. His mother’s role will be played by Reema Lagoo. Salman’s girl friend will be Deepika, the leggy beauty who can run like a cheetah but choses marathon. And then, Salman should write the rest of the story assisted by his family. There will be usual dances and merriment. It will cross PK collections as ticket prices will be doubled than what was for Sultan. It will run towards 400 crores with Deepika as the heroine to boot.

Rustom did well in its second week grossing over 25 crore nett and taking its two week total to over 114.50 crore. The film had a drop of around 71% which is the normal drop in the second week The business of Rustom till date is as follows.
First Week – 89,35,00,000
Second Week – 25,25,00,000 apprx
GRAND TOTAL – 1,14,60,00,000
The second week collections are the third highest of the year after Sultan and Airlift. The latter was tax free in UP in the second week. The second week collections are higher than Housefull 3 which was in the 22.50 crore nett range. The distributor share of the film is 58 crore in two weeks and it should cross Airlift in a few days and the GROSS business will also cross Airlift soon. The NETT business of Airlift was 123.50 crore nett and that should also be beaten but it may have to wait till week four for that to happen.
Akshay Kumar has only one film which has topped 125 crore nett and that is Rowdy Rathore and Airlift could be the second one. The biggest career hits of Akhshay Kumar are Mohra (199 cr adjusted nett) and Rowdy Rathore (186 crore adjusted nett).

71% is too much of a drop for a film that has been liked and that’s a smaller level deal, hence not maximizing its audience. But it proves once again that no matter what Akshay does, he can star in these more meaningful films or the most commercial ones, he can have competition or not, ultimately he operates in that 100-130 range. Nothing has changed in this sense. He clearly has a ceiling in terms of the audience he can attract and this despite a good track record in recent years where he’s done more sensible stuff than not.

dont agree with that, Rustom had MD for competition and would have done 15-20 crores atleast if it was a solo release. His next movie Jolly LLB will not do as well as it may not appeal to the multiplex audience. What is suprising to me is he has really underperformed in the comedy genre. SIK 2 and HF3 should have done much better

Rs 130 Cr nett seems to be the upper limit for Akshay Kumar. Unless that becomes ATLEAST RS 180-200 cr he will be questioned.
One movie in two years seems to be upper limit for Aamir Khan. Unless he matches the frequency of Salman Khan or SRK, he will be questioned.
Salman is the only star doing it perfect. Rest all have barriers built for them.

Some reasons.
No big production house backs him. Like Kjo or YRF.
Ticket prices are not hiked to astronomical levels.
Kumar’s persona lacks softness which wins the hearts of kids and girls. He looks like a taskmaster than a loverboy.
He lacks the charisma that big b exudes even at this age.
Neeraj Pandey is restricting him to a certain genre.
He is exactly opposite to what his father in law was. See Aradhana where Khanna wears uniform but what a difference! Uniform did not make him stiff or restricted him.
Girls swooned after Khanna, the loverboy and wrote letters of blood.

Akshay has lots of limitations. Actually there are several stars who have all the above and more than Akshay, like Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, And Salman, Aamir and SRK of course have these consistently.
That one can still be hugely successful and appreciated is what separates Akshay. Noone apart from him has proved despite not having basic ingredients considered to be successantra, one can still be successful by sheer hard work and discipline. Millions like his for this trait. It doesn’t matter that the more gifted ones can still be ahead. The success is when Not So gifted is still in the race and giving a fight to those who are gifted. For me that’s the real superstar.

Some excerpts.

The sex determination ban is a principled one, for it underlines intolerance for gender discrimination. The question is whether surrogacy is as big an evil as female foeticide. If it indeed is ā and the jury is still out on this ā why not ban surrogacy altogether? How does it suddenly become acceptable if the surrogate mother is a relative and uncompensated, besides probably being coerced, as women often are in intra-family decision-making? These are questions that will remain even if the Bill is passed.

This works with interiors and hinterland. In current situation, friends and social circle are more close than close relatives. Almost all the majority of upper middle class and rich people just meet ‘relatives’ formally and don’t get along well and I don’t think they will take their help in such a big matter. This is too restricting.

Everything is done for some consideration. If it is relatioship with coerciveness, friends with emotional obligations why not for money? Many poor or lower middleclass women hope to build future with that money. Why to deprive the poor of something and leave them to face unmitigated poverty or suicide? If prostitution is legal, why not surrogacy? Being a woman, the minister should think from all angles.

The article mentions that, āThe Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act, 1956 (āITPAā), the main statute dealing with sex-work in India, does not criminalize prostitution or prostitutes per se, but mostly punishes acts by third parties facilitating prostitution like brothel keeping, living off earnings and procuring, even where sex-work is not coerced.ā
If a person is found guilty of assisting or managing prostitution, he can be jailed for a term of not less than one year and not more than three years.
It also attracts a fine of up to Rs 2,000. In case of second or subsequent convictions, the punishment increases with a rigorous imprisonment of not less than two years and not more than five years. He may also be fined up to Rs 2,000. If a person is found guilty of forcing a person to carry on as a prostitute, he can be punished with a term ranging from three years to seven years and also a fine of Rs 2,000. For second or subsequent conviction, the punishment can go up to a term of fourteen years.

The idiot comment is in relation to how you generally behave, which is for all to see. Whoever compared you to apex, I can only chuckle as you both know you’re similar but ‘avoided’ each other in a clash. You’re not the only idiot, there are others. You should count yourself lucky there is not a bill to restrict idiots here!!!
Both adoption & surrogacy are beautiful options. Being a parent it would devastate me if we could not have a child. Having my own offspring would be my number 1 choice nothing to do with power or money, more to do with genes as when you marry you marry a partner in mind for a family usually. Being in love you want to see emotionally & physically how a mini me develops.
Without such an option IMO just restricts a desired option of many. 1St child or 3rd.
Adoption is an avenue for many and is beautiful too. Everyone deserves that base foundation in life to prosper.
I don’t see fault in either really but one should be able to understand the dynamics of either & why one would lean to either.
It’s a dumb way of thinking about as its highly unlikely but what if there were no children to adopt what happens? & what age are these children. The beauty of carrying part of your own from birth should not be restricted. The people who choose this path may psycholigically be better parents. Some people are born with defects, imagine a female who simply could not give birth. How emotionally devastated she would be to not conceive but not surrogate either.
Society views both differently, here I back Naveen. More should be done to promote adoption awareness as I suspect this can have some stigma.

Jayshah- Except for the first two para which was another waste of thoughts and energy, the rest is very well articulated and don’t think anyone can differ with.
I think the bill advocates surrogacy as the need of the hour and only attempts to control it.
The misuse in India was so rampant that it led to deaths of poor women while giving birth, getting complications post birth and what not. the controls in the bills addresses these issues and most importantly also urges to give adoption a second chance and not consider it as inferior option. The larger issue is not about childless parent but about the child and the mother giving birth to the child.

And to add another rampant case- if during surrogacy birth, a special child was born the childless parent were not accepting the special child. A horrendous crime.
As I said this bill is to protect the child and mother. This does give childless parents a disadvantage as mentioned by others. But no one for a word mentioned about the child or the incumbent mother in their thoughts and hence my difference in opinion.

One wants one’s own dna so that that one day child will not turn against its parents and say, you are not my real parents. The possibility of this happening in adoptions is more. Further the adopted child will not get 100 percent love from its adopted parents in some cases.

Having said that I do not find SRK and Aamir going for the third child when they already have two of their own. Kiran Rao cant consider Reena’s kids as her own as Reena is there for them. But I respect their spaces and choices.
In Tusshar’s case, it looks ok as he does not want to get married and does want to become a father at the right age for his parents’ sake.

If you think hard (and maturely) you will realize both are different issues. One is adopting a child to end your boredom and have your legacy forward. Another one is to have your own offspring, who looks like you, have many of your habits and is almost of a mini version of the father/mother. This kind of high or feeling can’t be filled by adoption. Both are different wants and adoption can’t fill your own offspring feeling.
Not sure you are married or have kids but someday you’ll understand this, its never the same. Then why even have kids.. as soon one is married, just adopt as there are millions already in orphanage.. why wait for some health issue for the adoption?

I know several families who have adopted and had not faced any issues so far as far as not having the same lineage is concerned. Of course they are quite a patents for the child and have adopted when child was less than one year old.
I do take the point of lineage and hence appreciate the government’s approval of getting a surrogate to couples for first child.
Basically I think the difference in our argument is from where each is coming from.
My inspirations is to support Adoption to help an orphan and I am quite emotional about it and felt surrogacy has hurt this cause with continuous drop in addition world wide post surrogacy.
Master/Sanjana you are probably inspired to get freedom of choice, which is also important- no doubt about that.

Nope, nothing to do with freedom of choice yet. It just doesn’t’ make sense. Lets say, mine is a very big family circle and in that we have 3-4 instances where the kid has been adopted from other close relatives. Like two brothers, one brother had 4 daughters and 2nd no kids and when 4th kid was born, he gave it to bro 1st day. Similarly others did and 1 more where 2 kids of the female were given when the mom died after delivery. Such cases are so many.. if we have really close relative, we can directly take their new-born kid. No need for this artificial insertion and surrogacy natak. Why not just have natural offspring and then adopt it? What does surrogacy helping here?
Ok lets talk about close relative and surrogacy. If there’s a couple who can’t have kids, will the guy’s sisters(close relative) will do artificial insertion to have his kid?? No, right? They would rather have natural pregnancy with their own husband and then give the kid to them once born. Secondly, there are very few close relatives who will be ever ready to do this. This will become more or less adoption inside family circle and going away from the concept of surrogacy. If a person doesn’t have kids, currently he will take one of the kids from his brother or sister when they are born. That’s how the basic adoption exists and if you really don’t have close family then you go for adoption centers. But now Govt wants us to go to “close relatives” and instead of telling them to give their kid.. tells them.. do this artificial insertion and then give the kid to me. Lol.. how does it matter or help.. better to take their natural offspring born by natural process and which close relatives will accept more than this IVF. So, IMHO this kind of surrogacy suggested will never be useful for anyone.

And finally movie talk for which this blog exists. A Flying Jatt is mainly targetted at kids and is funny at places and does well in its 1st half. Almost everything you see in this movie is already seen feeling but there are some funny jokes which reminded me of Hancock where Superhero is not really powerful and doesn’t use his powers well. Some jokes are good buts its the 2nd half which ruins the movie and goes for a huge fall. Looks like Modi’s swach bharat message has been taken too seriously and ruins a superhero movie into environmental lecture. 2nd half is mess to say the least.
Tiger is alright and average. He struggles at places and unable to carry comic & casual sequences but he excels in action. He’s never going to be a top ‘actor’ but at least he looked and performed well in Baaghi but this isn’t his best and weakness crop up here and there.Jacquline looked bad(her worst) and older for Tiger age wise. Nathan Jones screams and shouts and does nothing else but gives the freshness to the movie. KK Menon is okay.. nothing to talk about. But overall.. the movie will be fine on TV and that too targeting kids. For Adults and rest, this can be skipped. Movie can do average business and might touch 50 crores as the genre is good and kids can take fancy in 1st weekend. Not Recommended for Adults but if you have kids, you can take them for 1st half.

Forgot to mention last night but the best 2 performances of the movie belong to Amrita Singh (the best Sardarni/Punjabi mom in the industry now) and Gaurav Pandey, who plays Tiger’s brother and has superb comic timing. Both of them managed to engage quite a few sequences in the 1st half.

Taapsee Pannu to play lead in Baby sequel; Akshay Kumar to only make a cameo
After giving a stellar performance in the 2015 film Baby, Akshay Kumar will not be playing a lead role in its sequel. Reports have suggested that the actor will only be doing a cameo in the film, while Tapsee Pannu will be seen as the lead. The film will be titled Meera after Pannu’s character, who was called Priya in the original.
DNA reports, āBaby 2 will revolve around Taapsee Pannuās character. The story will show her backstory of how she eventually became a special agent and will mainly be about her secret mission this time. Taapsee will have a powerful action role.ā
The buzz is that Manoj Bajpayee And Prithviraj will also be a part of the film. It won’t be Neeraj Pandey directing the film, but Shivam Nair.
According to earlier reports however, Pandey was pretty excited about making a sequel to Baby. He had said to Times of India last year, “The concept of the franchise and the sequel were clear in my head even while I was writing Baby. I am excited that my cast and producers are bringing the film back in 2017.”
It was earlier said that Varun Dhawan had been approached by the makers for the film and that Pandey would begin work on it post his biopic of MS Dhoni.
It seems that it was Kumar’s idea to cast Pannu in the lead after he was impressed by her action sequence in the hotel in Baby.
Meanwhile Akshay and Neeraj will be collaborating for another film, Crack, which is also set for an Independence Day release.

Saw this film. Not bad at all (not that good either), Tiger definitely has a future. He actually isn’t half bad at comedy/emotional scenes- he looks like a kid in those…which he is. His Action/Dance skills are amazing- but he does this one flip a lot which looks like a ballet move lol. I guess one could say Flying Jatt is kind of like the Koi Mil Gaya for kids of this generation. In that sense I know Hrithik has a huge Children fan base, and I think Tiger can/will take his place here. He also seems more genuinely nicer and innocent than Hrithik has ever been. The only thing is I wish his action moves were a little more macho, but maybe in this 2016 PC world this is the future of the action hero/

The Sidharth Malhotra-Katrina Kaif starrer Baar Baar Dekho has been granted a ‘UA’ certificate by the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC). But only after a shot of a brassiere was removed from the film.
An angry member of the Baar Baar Dekho team expostulates, “Are we living in the Victorian era when women’s innerwear was never spoken of in public? Years ago in 1995 there was a bra shot featuring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan. And Baar Baar Dekho is directed by a woman. So the chances of lingerie being used to titillate the audience are nil.”
Apparently the censor board refused to certify the film until the “offensive” shot was removed.
Another cut that the CBFC demanded was to do with a naughty reference to ‘Savita Bhabhi’ the comic book porn character whose sexual exploits are devoured on the internet by millions of her fans. Says the source, “The CBFC asked the producers of Baar Baar Dekho to delete a reference to Savita Bhabhi. The name is used in a jokey light-hearted manner in the film. If a porn reference is objectionable then how come Sunny Leone’s name was used A Flying Jatt?”
Contradictions apart, Baar Baar Dekho has now been certified by the CBFC with a ‘UA’ certificate, the bra visual and ‘Savita Bhabhi’ reference duly knocked off.

Over the weekend gone by, A Flying Jatt collected almost double of the other two Hindi films in the running ā Happy Bhag Jayegi and Rustom. That said, former is in its second week and latter is in the third week. Moreover, the film is running at more than double the number of screens that are distributed between the other two films.
The Remo DāSouza film collected on similar lines as the opening day [7.1 crore] for the rest of the weekend too, as a result of which the extended four day weekend collections have come to 28.6 crore*. The film has a week open for itself and for that it would need heavy patronage from kids.
Happy Bhag Jayegi is keeping its date with the youth though. A kind of film which would have perhaps done even better had it been planned for Valentineās Day arrival, the Diana Penty starrer managed to accumulate 4.5 crore* more in its second weekend. A total of 21.75 crore* so far has brought the film into a zone from where it can be termed as a safe outing once the lifetime total sets in.

Q. You have PK has the highest worldwide grosser and the inflation adjusted figures are only for Overseas but for worldwide inflation adjusted is there any film which is likely to be bigger than PK? Also can you update worldwide inflation adjusted figures.
A. The India adjusted GROSS figures are here. So you already have one film Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun above the PK worldwide gross of 743 crore and that is just with India figures. Obviously the inflation of ticket rates in Overseas has not gone up as fast as it has in India so its unlikely any of the other films in the link are above PK. Maybe Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has a chance. There will be worldwide inflation adjusted list but that will come after the data of all releases in th 90’s decade goes up on the site.
Q. What are the footfalls of Sultan and are they more than PK as it should have done more in single screens?
A. It has done more in single screens but ticket rates were a bit higher and the collections are also around 30 crore short as in GROSS collections. The apprx number is 3.25 crore which is more than 3 Idiots but less than PK. Also less than Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Q. It is reported many times of Box Office India that action is the best bet for initial so can Akira which has more action than most Hindi films going by the trailer take an initial?
A. There is a format for a Hindi action film as far as story telling and presentation goes and Akira is not that format. Akira seems does not have any pluses as far as initial is concerned and also the trailer was launched sometime back which can’t be done if no music to back it up. By the time of release the film seems to look stale as there is just a theatrical. Still the director has made a couple of well appreciated films in Holiday and Ghajini so that is the reason the film can’t be totally ruled out ath the box office.
Q. Did Kabali eventually become the highest Tamil film?
A. No. Across the country it fell short of Einthiran (Robot) while in the home state it was short of a couple of other films as well as Einthiran

Everything, from its intriguing story line to Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchanās steamy scenes along with Fawad Khanās appearance and Anushka Sharmaās character has kept fans guessing about the film. However, Aishwaryaās bold scenes with Ranbir ultimately stole the show, as it was the first time that fans got to see the former beauty queen play such a character.
Reports now claim that these scenes have got Ashās father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan seeing red. Apparently, the superstar is fuming over Aishwarya steaming up the screen with Ranbir. It had earlier been reported that Big B even approached Karan to cut off her kissing scene in the film. The makers thought the intimate scenes wouldnāt be a problem, as nothing was flagged during the narrations. However, like the audience, even Aishwaryaās family was āstunned to see her bold avatarā.
There are also reports that state Amitabh, Abhishek and Aishwarya got into a ātiffā on the day of the trailer launch, as Bachchan Sr. was fuming over the steamy scenes. Abhishek put up a very supportive front and according to reports, shared the teaser āas a formalityā. Amitabh, however, stuck to his guns and refused to budge from his decision of not sharing the link on his social networking handles.

If the promos put out more bedroom scenes of aish /Ranbir, the family audience going by KANK reception will just keep away which is a big no for diwali outings.
On another note if Devgn movie has a strong villain or someone really fearful / powerful / OTT like what they have in superhero movies , Shivaay will score otherwise ADHM would pull ahead at least with the opening. But with Ranbir you never know, it may tank on the initial itself going by the past records.

Thatās a whole lot of bull ! The guy had to eat shit after giving all wrong predictions initially. If RK calculator were the case, movie would have touched 350 cr within 2 weeks. Not one source could deny the collections. In fact there was a report yrf was purposely trying to keep the numbers down due to profit sharing deal with Salman in order to cut down on his compensation.
But this is minor compared to what just happened !!! Guys this is a sad day in the history of this blog and what a let down !!! Look at this ghor kalyug ! The aristocratic / haughty / elegant / sophisticated…whatever one wishes to call Satyam has had to employ and quote a nut case like KRK to bring down Salmanā¦..!!!!

I pretty much knew why that trap laded comment was made for no rhyme or reason and in way my comment to you was to not fall in his trap like me and be part of his mood swings.
In some way his twitter handle is part of the same con job which media implicates the Trump campaign with. He is part of the amusement on the net with no strings attached and follow him at your own risk…….something which i realized later.
I guess he is a perfect example of ‘feeding the troll’ syndrome.

SRK to play a womaniser in The Ring!

The very sweet, charming and debonair SRK will be soon seen in a varied role in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming The Ring. If reports are to be believed the dimpled actor SRK will be seen in the role of a womaniser in The RIng.
The Ring also stars NH 10 actress Anushka Sharma. SRK is at present shooting for the film in Prague. His role is reportedly very much on the lines of the role of the legendary actor Dev Anand in film Guide that was the role of a tourist guide. Well reports have it that its a variation that Imtiaz is putting to his character. and will be seen as a womaniser. Apparently this is the third movie of Anushka Sharma and SRK together, earlier two being Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hain Jaan and both being hits.
Reportedly the actor will be donning a beard in the film. With already those killer looks and endearing personality, we are sure it wont be a tough job for SRK to play the role. Already excited too see him in that avatar? We too!

Likewise Aamir Khan should take Ranbir as a hero and direct him.
