150 cr in China has been breached. Good chances of crossing 300 cr & 1 cr footfall in Chinese market. The trend has been solid implying good acceptance for the film in China. Aamir Khan has definitely opened up the Chinese market for Indian cinema to no end!
It wld not nose dive for sure.It wld end bw 250-300cr and close to 1cr footfalls.It is a hit and in a similar way SS was a blockbuster and Dangal was an ATBB in China.
TOH shld be a blockbuster there unless the WOM is toxic.
It seems BP is disliked film and BB is a very liked film along with chinese films. Hollywood may lose out to bollywood after some years! It is very interesting to go through chinese likes and dislikes. They want emotional or fun stories. And they have lots of money to spend on films. They are more crazy for films than Indians. As politics are not welcome, they try to get relief through watching films.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan was rock steady in its second weekend in China as it grossed $8 million apprx which is a drop of just 6% from the first weekend. The total business of the film so far in China is $26 million.
The Chinese documentary Amazing China saw a drop in screenings and less peak screenings on Saturday and Sunday which again took Bajrangi Bhaijaan passed it again but on the weekdays the Chinese film could go ahead again as there are many block bookings. It will probably matter less as Black Panther will not be the force it is over the weekend. The super hero film has done well over the weekend but the question still remains has it worked in China like in the West and South Korea or Brazil.
The first and second weekend comparison of Bajrangi Bhaijaan in China is as follows..
First Weekend – $8,500,000
Second Weekend – $8,000,000
Drop – 5.88%
The film looked a $40 million film after day eight but now it looks like the film can go higher as the weekend has shown strength and if we look at first Sunday against second Sunday then the 9000 odd screens have been maintained despite the huge 29000 screen release of Black Panther.
A $50 million total would be a great result as it would bring back 40-45 crore back to the makers of the film. The film has a similar deal to Secret Superstar which bought back 100 crore to the makers from China.
We can safely say Bajrangi Bhaijaan is a big hit in China and BOI has figured out China before China has! It needed to be Salman or SRK to wake them up.
LT prediction today has dropped to 38M$ now as Bajrangi faced a major drop today of more than 50%.Probably the worst ever trending for a 9.7 rated movie.
BOI has been fully exposed.We knew it before but even for BOI sympathisers it’s a deadly blow.BOI is saying such Bullshit which has exposed it’s propaganda once and for all.Bajrangi update has come each and every day i don’t follow them but i m seeing their articles everyday here.Bajrangi is a buyout for 2 cr INR and Secret Superstar has earned 180 cr approx(not 100cr) which this propaganda site is claiming.They r doing frauds even in a transparent BO market so anyone can imagine what wld they be doing with India.Can ant BOI sympathiser justify their bullshit?Even fraudulent BOI admitted on first day that SS is a 25% share deal so how come makers share is only 100cr?It’s 180cr and if anyone can prove me wrong here i wld leave this forum.
I heard it cost Joy Pictures only $300K to get the distribution right. $3M box office is break-even point despite they expect $30M. Also they have the distribution right of Sultan. It's unknow if Sultan can get a release date. But it’s safe to say more Salman films will open here
I was waiting for your response on the BOI share claims, had no doubt they are cooking up numbers to make BB seem better than it is and SS less important than it is.
I absolutely feel sorry for BOI supporters – but it will continue as their numbers are ‘spot on’ to many and their commentary is very ‘accurate’. LOL! And blind people don’t gain sight out of thin air.

Salman is playing his catch-up game well these days:
– TZH caught up to PK’s 340 cr India nett.
– TZH caught up to D3’s 560 cr WW gross.
– Now BB catching up to SS’ WW gross.
Dont know about RDB, but TZP and Lagaan are AKP productions and Aamir can definitely release them in China. I think TZP should be released in China now. If TOH does well, then follow it up with Lagaan release.
Salman with his sequel list cant do much but chase silver. After Padmaavat surprising all with 300 cr despite all its troubles, he would be hoping that Race 3 does at least 300.
I have repeated this very often here but i m still repeating it.TZP wld be historic in China if it gets a release.It is the 3rd most loved Indian movie in China.It is also in Douban top 250.It can possibly do 125-150M$ in China.Bajrangi had a good douban rating with good no. of votes prior to release i knew this but didn’t expected Bajrangi to do this much.Bajrangi is the only non-Aamir movie (prior to it’s release)having good no. of votes with a great rating.I believe sooner or later Aamir wld be made aware of this.
The Chinese distributor of Dangal and SS would have already noticed the potential of TZP by now? The only question is, whether the audience show up in theaters to see a 10 year old movie, considering that majority of Aamir fans have already watched it.
Today there is a huge drop.Secret Superstar wld not be crossed as 44+ are reqd which looks almost impossible now.42 is looking like the best possible finish now.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s done well though. Can’t deny $40mm in China, it’s modest against SS and Dangal but still massive. It’s collections that BB would never have made a year ago. What expectations are there for Sultan?
Sultan cld open better than Bajrangi but LT wld be much lesser than Bajrangi.Infact i was looking at Douban and was aware that it’s probably the only Non-Aamir which had a good rating and massive vote count even before release.I think it had a rating of 8.6 with 80k votes before release.So it always had a chance to perform there.Before Dangal it cld have done around 5M$ or so but scenario for Indian movies has changed altogether after Dangal.Sultan has 500 odd votes right now with a modest 7.9 rating which indicates it’s chances of performing there are very meagre.SS is having a 7.9 rating at Douban which is not extraordinary by any means so it was indeed propelled by Aamir’s stardom. Bajrangi i think is having a douban rating of 8.7 currently with 121k votes.
Amongst non released movies TZP is top followed by Ghajini with 88k(8.8 rating) and 57k votes respectively.TZP can set China BO on fire if it gets a release.Ghajini can do well too.
Must do I think aamirsaurabh did suggest given the viewer ratings BB could have done better compared to other films. $45mm is still $45mm more than pre Dangal & SS!

Today Bajrangi dropped 62% compared with Sun and remember Sun is like what a Sat is here in India.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s done well though. Can’t deny $40mm in China, it’s modest against SS and Dangal but still massive. It’s collections that BB would never have made a year ago. What expectations are there for Sultan?

Sultan cld open better than Bajrangi but LT wld be much lesser than Bajrangi.Infact i was looking at Douban and was aware that it’s probably the only Non-Aamir which had a good rating and massive vote count even before release.I think it had a rating of 8.6 with 80k votes before release.So it always had a chance to perform there.Before Dangal it cld have done around 5M$ or so but scenario for Indian movies has changed altogether after Dangal.Sultan has 500 odd votes right now with a modest 7.9 rating which indicates it’s chances of performing there are very meagre.SS is having a 7.9 rating at Douban which is not extraordinary by any means so it was indeed propelled by Aamir’s stardom. Bajrangi i think is having a douban rating of 8.7 currently with 121k votes.
Amongst non released movies TZP is top followed by Ghajini with 88k(8.8 rating) and 57k votes respectively.TZP can set China BO on fire if it gets a release.Ghajini can do well too.

Must do I think aamirsaurabh did suggest given the viewer ratings BB could have done better compared to other films. $45mm is still $45mm more than pre Dangal & SS!
