Link fFrom the other thread. Lotsa Rishi hits were multi-starrers, nevertheless his solo ones were pretty big slamdunks by themselves.
BigB had said somewhere, that Rishi was the best at lip-synching. Here BOI allude to the same talent, ie of looking convincing in song-dance routines. One can see the stark contrast between an effortless Rishi and an out-of-place Tahir Hussain in Chand Mera Dil.
My personal fav Rishi song remains Parda Hai Parda.. he absolutely nailed the qawwali with his expressions and gestures. Also helped that this was early on in his “slim” days. By the 80s, his bloating frame played spoilsport to his fluid effortless dancing and gesturing. Perhaps explains why he couldnt quite repeat the scale of his 70s solo successes into the 80s.
Was surprised to see Mithun in that BOI list, wonder which movies other than Disco Dancer are his 25 hits?
