Amit Sadh is supposedly the show stealer in season 2 and getting rave reviews! Repeating his role as the cop also makes Breathe his franchise more than others!
In the kidnapping. if no ransom call within 2 days, revenge on parents motive should have been explored followed by doubting the parents themselves. But the Delhi cops did no such thing.
There was no benefit of them relocating the entire premise to New Delhi instead could have remained in Mumbai. Only what they achieved was the Baju joke in the discussion among the sub inspectors.
I was hoping that they have further turns in the finale with Gayatri being the MPD version of Abha. That would have been quite a twist. Also J should have been played by another similar looking actor till the finale.
In the Chef’s meeting that Kabir has with Abha at the hotel, he could have asked her “do you think Avinash is capable of hurting Siya? That could have scared Abha and she goes to check on Siya and Kabir could have followed her to get the secret location.
In the secret location Abha could have broken the glass mirror with a chair instead of trying to find the keys.
I was thinking the girl against whom Avinash testified initially would come back as the main antagonist for revenge but didn’t happen.
There was a fight in the prison in which there was a beefed up man. what was that for?
A few changes here and there could have made the series much more engrossing and realistic.
Also Avinash is away from home for all his shenanigans and Abha has no doubts on him? She changes to the graveyard shift only later after the kidnapping
Quite mixed reviews for Breathe 2. Some saying good while some mentioning boring and step down from Breathe 1. Wanted to check this for Abhishek how he does here. Now not so sure.
Undekhi seems to be getting solid reviews among recent hindi series.
Finished watching Undekhi. Quite a thriller with Dibyendu being the real hero. With an open end to give us a second season if covid 19 permits.
Parambrata in Bulbbul and Dibyendu in Undekhi. Pleasure to watch these bengalis.
Too many gaalis and other things associated with web series.
Yeah Parambrata was good in Bulbbul. One of the problems with most of these Indian series are these gaali galauj. Cannot be watched with family and kids.
Bharat Mei log badal gayen hai…people (Young kids or early twenty adults) are using gaalis as aloo pyaaz…?
Same with Aarya…it seems people are trying to ape West series..Even in west you will have tough time finding such families..
Amitabh Bachchan’s fan who came from UP to see him stabbed at Juhu, two arrested
Two rowdies, who stabbed a cloth merchant (35) from Uttar Pradesh (UP) and robbed his mobile phone and cash, were arrested by Mumbai Police on Saturday.
T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !
Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. 🙏🏽
I am scared to be honest.
It is important for Amitabh to recover and give confidence to rest of the nation to fight this bloody pandemic. Ohh i now hate this virus more now. To hell with you China.
Frankly Salman will find it tough now.
Earlier his mistakes were ignored as Chalta hai by his fans.
Now barring his twitteratti brigade, most now find him a bully, and him as fake. Not a good human being.
The likes of Salman and KJO would have faced the wrath if their movies released now. But luckily for them people will forget these by the time their next movie releases which could take at least 6 months if not more.
There appears to be some confusion over the COVID-19 test results for actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya, 8. In a tweet today, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope announced that Aishwarya, who is married to Abhishek Bachchan, had tested positive as had the couple’s young daughter; Jaya Bachchan tested negative, Mr Tope announced – just minutes later, however, he deleted the tweet. Meantime, Mumbai mayor Kishori Pednekar said Aishwarya and Aaradhya had tested negative, news agency PTI reports. Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek tested positive yesterday and are in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. Jalsa, the Bachchan residence, has been sealed off as a containment zone and all residents have been placed under a 14-day quarantine.
Television actor Parth Samthaan, who plays Anurag Basu in the Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot, has tested positive for Covid-19. The shoot of the show has been stopped and crew members who were in close contact with him have been asked to undergo tests.
Parth shared the news of his diagnosis on Twitter. “Hi guys ,I have tested Postive for covid 19 and I would urge and request everyone whose been with me in close promitixy over the last few days please go and get yourself tested . am in self quarantine and I thank BMC for all their support ,Please be safe and takecare !,” he wrote.
Media hounding SoundNVision studio just coz it’s temporarily shut as AbhishekBachchan, who tested COVID+, had dubbed there is very sad. Know for a fact that the studio was observing all hygiene protocols to the fullest. And it’s NOT as if he got the virus from there. @monashetty
Love for cinema and then some of us started developing attachment to one another irrespective of fandom.
Hope we will be meeting each other here always. Wish some of the absentees can also peep in once in a while.
New York: A 30-year-old man from Texas died from the new coronavirus after attending a “COVID-19” party hosted by an infected person, a doctor has revealed, underlining the risk to younger people.
Jane Appleby, chief medical officer at the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, said the man thought the virus was a hoax, despite it killing more than 135,000 people in the United States so far.
“Someone will be diagnosed with the disease, and they’ll have a party to invite their friends over to see if they can beat the disease,” Appleby said in a video broadcast by US media on Sunday.
“One of the things that was heart-wrenching that he said to his nurse was, ‘You know, I think I made a mistake.’
Bipasha Basu wrote, “All shoots should stop till the situation is little better. Actors are the most vulnerable… most of the unit is protected with all the PPE, gloves, masks and shields. But actors have to shoot without any protection. It’s just plain risky.”
Amazon Prime Video on Monday announced the release date of romantic musical drama Bandish Bandits. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the web series, featuring Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhry as two performers coming from vastly different musical backgrounds, will begin streaming from August 4.
While Bhowmik will play a Hindustani classical performer Radhe, Chaudhry will be seen as popstar Tamanna in Bandish Bandits. The 10 part series also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sheeba Chaddha and Rajesh Tailang.
Since this is a musical drama series, there will be a full-fledged soundtrack composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
Breathe-2 is an uneven watch, sometimes extremely slow, at times very gripping , the concept is very preposterous but Abhishek, Amit Sadh and his two deputies made it work for me.
I doubt if there will be a sequel though ..
Watched Breathe in the shadows.
Cant understand how abha is so cold hearted as to actively assist in killing others and not feeling any substantial remorse. And she is not even punished. with a jail term.
The first death violence could have been less graphic.
Shruti Bapna who played Natasha Garewal was quite attractive and acted very well.
Breathe with Madhavan also depicted killings to save son’s life.
Some organ donors were put off by Breathe.
Your Honour also is the same trope of saving son.
And so was Hostages to some extent.
Same idea but different forms.
Undekhi has some unnecessary prolonged nude scene, sex scene and terrible language. The dialogue writer must have used those gaalis as dialogues!
Is this the new norm?
Nepotism has always been around, you can go back to the oldest days and find that king son is a prince. Not some ordinary joe/moe.
It’s really sad what happened to him but at some point you also have to look at beyond the easy target of picking out high caliber celebrity to put false on.
Here’s a guy who had a decent TV career, got a nice start with Kai Po che, got a film from Yash Raj, Dharma Production, VVC/Raju Hirani, etc. Life wasn’t all that bad. It’s not like you didn’t get a chance and wasn’t making a living. What does this mean for thousands who don’t even get a chance in TV serials. What about the person who didn’t get a chance to star in Kai Po Che because you already had a chance due to your TV career, that’s a form of nepotism. You were doing lot better than Jeetendra, Sunny deol, Anil Kapoor sons among many other.
Bullyism is disturbing and that could be in play here. But at that point, pack up and leave. Life is too precious to waste. Go back to your parents/family. No need to take your life for few losers…
His death is fishy. Might not have been a suicide after all. There’s no rational scientific reason for SSR to take his life. And science is something that he swore by all his life. I don’t accept the suicide theory wholeheartedly.
I asked resident doctor, are all suicides same? Like SSR or tiktok star Siya Kakkar or Farmer suicide where you are not able to pay loan.
If I gauged correctly, his answer was clinical depression is different than other cases.
Might be but cannot be conclusive unless we know what exactly happened. Murder can be as likely a cause as suicide (if not more). He wasn’t the most liked guy in industry circles anyways.
Yes meant clinical depression and its totally different. Farmers suiciding or Siya Kakkar suicide is not depression, its spur of the moment to not handle a situation in life. If someone breaks up, you feel to do suicide, if you have no way out for paying back money and run out of options you feel to end your life. Clinical depression happens to even successful people. Deepika Padukone got it when she was climbing ladders and reaching top and not during her initial years. Sushant got it from last year end and Anthony Bourdain was in relationship and then shooting his fav thing in the world – the Unknown series and in between shooting days and alone in night, he hanged himself. He was perfectly fine the whole day and missed dinner and went and ended his life midnight without speaking to his current gf or anyone.
All of them keep getting thoughts to end your life and thoughts this is all meaningless, success is also meaningless. Most of them do get these thoughts once in a while and in depression you get very often. Best advise is not be ever alone and speak to someone. If you are alone very often, you will end up doing suicide like incase of SSR and Anthony.
Farmers dying is not depression, every suicide is not depression again. Most of them end their lives as there’s no easy way out.
SSR even in depression., if he was shooting a movie, it would have been fine to an extent. This lockdown for 3 plus months aided him to get more depressed and end his life as you have nothing else to do to divert yourself and you get the same thoughts again n again.
Abhishek Bachchan & to an extent Vivek Oberoi are 2 examples where we perhaps see the other side of nepotism. They’re both decent actors when in their elements yet the pressure to perform & live up to a reputation (esp for Abhishek) is such that even “decent” is just not enough to escape the ridicule & rant in today’s era of social media gas.
True Detective season 3 : No words! Mesmerizing is an understatement. But do make sure you don’t have expectations of the Matthew Mcconahey, Woody Harrelson starrer season 1 (the greatest TV mini series ever imo!) else you might feel a downer.
Fauda : Exceptional, fiery & edge of seat even though there’s no attempt at being politically correct. A Neeraj Pandey’s version of an Israeli thriller.
Theatres are not going to open for atleast a year. So all hype around first weeks bussiness of 100+ crores is dead. So the theatrical Star System is dead. Stars will have to go to existing OTT platform or stream films themselves through their own apps. Technology is quite simple
Theaters will reopen sooner than predicted although footfalls would take till at least next year end. Shekhar Kapoor might himself be nothing more than an OTT junkie film maker but if we go by his logic, schools & colleges remaining shut for another year would have a long term catastrophic impact on the society & economy both. If theaters do not open for 1 year, there wouldn’t be any left by the time they get the green signal to reopen. A very irresponsible tweet.
Well, home is now the all in one place.
Home has become office for many.
Students are doing their schooling online from home.
Eating at home from morning to night has replaced outside eating.
Home has also become a clinic and nursing home with home remedies and care.
Home has become library.
Home has become a theatre with or without popcorn.
24 hours entertainment.
I am going to office, I am coming home are sentences not used anymore.
Thanks to human fear psychosis & paranoia given precedence over real science, I’m sure a lot of doomsday predictors would love living in an indoor bubble for the rest of their lives. For the rest, lockdowns are nothing more than a way of demolishing basic human ethic and the ultimate society fabric. No pandemic in the past has evoked such a ridiculous response as this (thanks to the curse of technology, social media & fake science). I can only hope & prey common sense prevails & we get back to a semblance of humanity with civilized & safe measures of course (crowds of thousands at pubs & processions, classrooms with a 100 students is definitely not the way a civilized society functions but nor does it function by locking everyone up in their houses till eternity. In a binary world of 0’s & 1’s, left’s & right’s, heads & tails, the centrist would always be neglected).
Could anybody provide any links to deals on Macbook air or/and MS Surface Pro? I understand July 4th is over but if you know, it would be helpful. Thanks.
I have MacBook Air from 2012 and still runs good; changed the battery from Amazon and it good for my daughter.
But please be aware that they are moving to ARM chips from Intel starting end of this year. So updates after some time will stop. PPC took sometime to fade but with Apple you don’t know.
Movie watching in cinemas is something akin to test cricket. Just like tests have survived the odi & t20 onslaught & continue to co exist carving a niche (like the recent eng wi test or last year’s ashes) cinemas too would co exist with digital & satellite media (just like they did with vcr’s & dvd era). In relative terms the theatrical footfalls have diminished over the decades wrt the national population but in absolute terms a 3cr+ footfall film was a Super hit in the 70’s & will continue being a Super hit even in the 2030’s when India’s population might go over 1.5 billion.
Not in the year 2022 unless you wish all schools, universities, sport arenas, cinema halls & marketplaces to be shut down forever. My statement is in long term context. No one’s gonna visit theaters till this year end obviously.
Every pandemic has a life span of 12-18 months beyond which the world & society have to move on at some stage (with or without a vaccine). In spite of the hyperbole, fear mongering & paranoia that’s gone with this pandemic (being compared with the 1918 H1N1 flu despite having 1% of its mortality number) I don’t expect the world to be radically different in about a couple of years from now (with the exception of a few paranoid souls of course)
America is facing the worst crisis because many of them want no masks, no restrictions and life as usual. And the leader himself is one of them.
Covid 19 is a monster and the paranoia is justified.
When doctors and nurses start dying, there will be paronoia.
An equal number of doctors & nurses unfortunately pass away in India due to diseases much more lethal like TB, Dengi etc. No one should expect life as usual in the middle of an extremely contagious pandemic of course but that does not merit the other extreme end of the spectrum where every second of life is spent in fear, paranoia and rumor mongering that leads to catastrophic lockdowns. Mark my words, the pandemic would be past us in a year or 2 from now but the repercussions on socio-economic life & the global economic depression leading to loss of livelihoods would lead to a lot higher mortality over the next DECADE of not more. I’m not even getting into the psychological aspect of things.
Well, the fear psychosis cant be blamed for self created socio economic problems. Our economic problems are due to excessive consumerism and wrecklessness. No discipline. Plastic is destroying the environment. Greenhouse gases are leading to change in climate. Every nation is piling up weapons and advanced nations are creating situations where they are selling weapons to nations by offering fake concessions. Producing cars in lakhs on a daily basis when infrastructure remains abysmal. Giving precedence to industries over agriculture. The builders want every inch of earth. Piling up nuclear weapons by whipping up fear psychosis. . Humanity is already on the brink due to selfish individuals and their agendas.
The shrill clamour for return to economic madness is as bad as fear psychosis created by the pandemic. We want to close our eyes to uncomfortable realities and build sand castles. The pandemic is dismantling our sand castles and showing us the temporariness of our lives and aspirations.
Well in that case its time to be a nihilist & let the pathogens sweep through the planet wiping out half the population in the process & restoring the balance created by human population explosion. Locking down & staying indoors permanently still does not feature in this scheme of things (unless someone wants to voluntarily do so, not by compulsions from rogue govts around the world). Although even indoors you might just get bitten by a Dengi virus & have the same consequence as that of a Corona, H1N1 influenza or measles virus.
Amitabh Bachchan ‘surrenders’ himself to God as he gets treated for Covid-19 at Nanavati hospital
Amitabh Bachchan, who is hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19, shared a new update about surrendering himself to God.
She mentioned an actor, who had a press release ready even before actor Irrfan Khan had died, “so that they could milk the tragedy and be in the same frame one last time.” She also mentioned a film journalist, who called Irrfan’s team mere hours before his death, demanding that he be told about the actor’s condition, and later complaining about not being the one to break the news.
Richa wrote that a journalist had even arrived at her partner, actor Ali Fazal’s door, asking for information about his mother’s death and wondering if he could get shots of the ambulance and the body.
Richa wrote that some of the same filmmakers who’d written condolence notes ‘a month ago’, perhaps at the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, “have run down movies of their peers pre-release, have replaced actresses who refused to sleep with them at the last minute and several have in fact repeatedly forecasted ‘iska kuch nahi hoga’.”
Celebrating 5 years of Kabir’s & Salman’s career best Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Slightly overrated in my opinion (just like every Hirani film is including 3 Idiots) but a memorable watch nevertheless.
Hello Satyam, I am searching for one magazine article, which i believe it was posted here in some comments .. article was about Amitabh/Dharam and Manoj .. published just before Sholay and After release Deewar … if you remember and find it, please share link .. thanks.
You go girl!!! Will always support you…but one needs to be careful and have enough evidence to back up the claims if one’s taking on powerful families like the Chopras and Johars and Roshans…
Pls read the book. Sehmat, the hero, did not come back depressed. Instead, she saluted Tri-color,band played National Anthem.#Gulzar intentionally changed narrative to appease #Pakis I made her director, she backstabbed me. #Shame#BollywoodLobbyhttps://t.co/any7R8kGrN
Why is only B team of Bollywood ranting against
@KanganaTeam
?
Whereas she charged the A team?
Because B team is the slave of A team. Hence cheerleaders.
Vilification campaign of Kangana Ranaut has started with her old interviews, news stories, clippings & other stuff totally out of context of time & situation. Kangana is taking on the whole powerful bollywood mafia establishment & those hounding her are self proclaimed feminists.
Bollywood director Rajat Mukherjee passed away on Sunday in Jaipur due to kidney-related issues. The filmmaker, known for directing films like Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya…, Love in Nepal, Road among others, was suffering from an illness for a long time, revealed actor Manoj Bajpayee. He was in his late 50s.
Bajpayee shared the news on social media. He wrote, “My friend and director of Road ,Rajat Mukherjee passed away in the early hours today in Jaipur after a long battle with illness!!! Rest in peace Rajat !!Still can’t believe that we will never meet or discuss our work ever again. khush reh jaha bhi reh.”
Anurag Kashyap confirms Richa Chadha’s claims of not receiving royalty for Gangs of Wasseypur: ‘For the studio it’s still a flop’
Anurag Kashyap has confirmed the claims of Richa Chadha, who said they haven’t been given any residuals for their work in both parts of Gangs of Wasseypur.
Fyi, sad news for you. Cinemas never shut down in S Korea and have been running for over a month in Dubai now. Puny 6 inch Netflix screens cannot match the 70mm for any genuine cinema fan.
Amusing that certain doomsday predictors on this forum & beyond call this the end of movie theatres but wouldn’t say the same about schools (for obvious reasons). Sooryavanshi is slated for Diwali & 83 for Xmas. Its high time the govt reopens theaters by Diwali, even if it means running at 5% occupancy. Kudos to Rohit Shetty & Kabir Khan for standing with the exhibitors & theater staff in this hour of need.
In absence of physical classes, 88% want institutions to revise fee structure: survey
An overwhelming 97% of parents in Mumbai are opposed to the idea of reopening schools in the city anytime soon, according to a survey by LocalCircles, a community social media platform.
Over 10,500 parents — 61% men and 39% women — took the survey, which sought their opinion on the right time to allow children to return to schools. While 26% of respondents said physical classes should begin only after a vaccine for COVID-19 is found, 33% said students should stay away from school till there are no new cases in Mumbai and its 20-km radius.
“While 26% of respondents said physical classes should begin only after a vaccine for COVID-19 is found, 33% said students should stay away from school till there are no new cases in Mumbai and its 20-km radius.” ~ only in India can we have such unscientific bs fear mongering theories. No wonder we haven’t gotten the pandemic under control yet despite 4 months of lockdown while our European counterparts go about their lives with business as usual with safety precautions & discipline (including reopening of schools). I don’t see schools reopening in India till next academic year May/June even if cases are down to 2 digits by November and/or if we get effective treatment or a vaccine by Jan.
Coronavirus: Mumbai’s Ganeshotsav likely to be a muted affair
While some organisers are postponing the celebrations to next year in February, others are planning to bring small idols, but with minimum or no celebrations.
For instance, the Khetwadi Ganpati organisers, who usually make Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations a grand affair, have decided to go with a small Ganesh ideal. Five people will be responsible for offering puja while maintaining social distancing.
However, there will be no musical instruments, lightings or even gatherings. The Ganesh idols will be immersed in water inside the pandal in drums.
Mumbaikars await for Ganesh Chaturthi with much eagerness every year, but the coronavirus crisis has spoilt all their plans for this year. With the highest number of cases in Mumbai, it is unlikely that Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated with the same grandeur this year.
Muted Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai will also have deep economic consequences as it offers temporary employment to many individuals.
This is a great thread about Indian Matchmaking , very touching, will make sure to make my daughters read this-
I’ve been seeing a lot of jokes about the show on matchmaking and arranged marriages on Netflix and as someone who’s lived through this hell for most of her twenties, I’m here to tell you; it’s no joking matter 1/n
I read whole thread..I am not sure how you can be unlucky that none of them was reasonable?
Well there are two ways to marry, either find yourself or parents will find it for you. Other options would be not to marry.
I have met fair share of NRI people in last two decades; people have quirks but mostly reasonable. Things could be complex when parents come into picture.
And yes people go to vacation in India for 2-3 weeks and they to find some match. Now you may feel commodity but other way is also true. If guy says that you have rejected so many, I am commodity for you.
Marriages don’t work like that, you have to adjust.
Agree , it works both ways however it is kind of harder on the girl always.
Although a friend’s friend went to India for two-three weeks and got married , the girl was having an affair but married under pressure.
Ab yahan aaa key divorce maang liya. The guy went under depression.
It is harder if you are going to in laws house; In US or foreign country , it is new for both . It is harder for girl if you are not able to pursue your career due to visa restrictions which you can do in India.
And just to be clear, I think Kangana is a far, far better actress than Taapsee or Swara. One of the best we have! I don’t even rate Taapsee as a good actress.
It’s a great shame that for all her talent, she displays such lack of common sense…and a complete lack of class!
20) Fake Nationalist Kangana who issues 'Patriotism/Nationalism Certificates' was seen modelling for Pakistani designer Saira Rizwan's bridal collection just after the URI attack. pic.twitter.com/OUBYJuJU7R
Nepotism is a way of life in many of the world’s societies, esp in South Asia. A businessman would almost always want his sons/daughters to carry forward his legacy than involve outsiders. Ditto for politicians, sportspersons, journalists etc. Heck I’ve witnessed nepotism even in the Army & the Air Force (requests for back door entries). Targeting the film industry alone for something so ingrained & deep rooted at a societal level is a bit unfair in my opinion. That being said, certain habits of bigwigs to deliberately shun outsiders despite being proven performers would obviously harm the industry in more ways than one.
nepotism happens everywhere but it becomes much more pronounced in film industry because of high threshold to make a movie (money, knowledge, connections). In other professions there are more options for a new comer. You can ignore nepotism but high threshold makes a cartel where whistleblower activities are nipped at bud. I don’t think only people named in MeToo are only culprits but list is manifold but no one would come and talk because their career and reputation would be ruined. It works at many level apart from getting roles, negative campaign (twitter trend it is a bad movie, Box office manipulation, blind items).
Great comment @shivaay. Again I feel we are missing trees for the forest. Rocky has posted Harinder Sikka’s tweet and Saket has posted tweets about Kangana. It is a debate beyond this. Getting a chance in the industry by being an insider is not at all a question. As you said, this happens in all fields. But the issue is regarding systemic blocking of talent and driving them to despair. As Kangana mentioned, folks are aware of what can and cannot damage your career! So by slapping a case, you can be rid of contracts and endorsements! Half the job is done! If a successful actor like SSR goes through this, I shudder to think what a newcomer acting as an extra amidst 20 background dancers goes through.
I do support Kangana but yes she has to be called in and asked for proofs regarding the accusations she makes; otherwise she’s only going to damage her reputation. As it is, with this interview, she has sealed her fate. It’s not at all going to be easy for her working in Bombay. Just like anyone of us, she’s not a black and white person and is morally gray. But that doesn’t mean whatever she’s saying doesn’t have some semblance of truths. The difference between Kangana removing Sonu Sood or the director of MANIKARNIKA and her views on nepotism and blocking talents is vast! A director, an actor, can be highly egoistic. We talk of the greatness of Raj Kapoor. In real life, he was despicable. You can get information as to how he used to treat women – merely as people with breasts. Does that take away from his greatness as an artist? Tolstoy was a horrible husband but can you take away the fact he wrote a bloody 3000 odd page brilliant Anna Karenina? Raj Kapoor once called Dilip Kumar at the height of Dilip’s success to his home, had him drunk, and when passed out, thrown him into a gutter and called media to take pics. So trying to put Kangana in a bad light because of her obvious deficiencies isn’t fair. By just painting Kangana with our own moral paint-brushes, it doesn’t undo the fact that such bullying exists in the industry.
I am soul-shattered that somebody as talented and as gifted as Gulzar Saab changed the climax of Raazi to please the left-lobby and got an author bullied. I still do not want to believe it. But I don’t know any longer…
Many Hollywood movies have ending changed to make it palatable. If you have sold rights and there is no contract your bargain ends there. Chetan Bhagat face similar issues with 3 idiots crediting.
Some great comments on Kangana and nepotism here. I think she’s gone overboard overall. People are falling for it. Certainly I do think it’s more pronounced in a very public facing industry but at same time it feels like Kangana fires too many bullets. SSR she was not genuine. She’s almost gone so far with her point to the extent there is no turning back now so it’s just a habit now rather than being objective about it. I’ve lost interest in her totally now.
It’s like Naveen talking about Aamir, Salman and SRK. Broken record and you can guess what he’ll say. But that’s been the case for years now. Hardly any spontaneous comments that leave you surprised…just predictable stuff 😛
The Florida Education Association, a teachers union representing about 140,000 school employees, filed a lawsuit Monday against several state leaders, including Gov. Ron DeSantis and Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran, in an effort to stop schools from reopening for in-person instruction.
Earlier this month, Corcoran issued an executive order requiring that all schools open in August for five days a week for families who want their children to attend in-person classes, even as COVID-19 cases in the state continue to surge. Families have the option of participating in remote learning if they prefer.
Asked why the Civil Aviation Authority was helming the project, the official — asking not to be named — said: “We are the main aviation regulatory authority in Sri Lanka. Since there are multiple stories over the years about Ravana flying aircrafts and covering these routes, we want to study this matter.”
While Sri Lanka’s tourism sector promotes the ‘Ramayana trail’ for visitors from India — one of Sri Lanka’s largest tourism markets — it is the epic’s antagonist King Ravana that the majority Sinhala-Buddhists hail, like Dravidian party icons in Tamil Nadu, including former Chief Ministers C.N. Annadurai and M. Karunanidhi did. Both socio-religious organisations in Sri Lanka and the state venerate and acknowledge Ravana as “the brave king” from the island nation.
A hard-line Sinhala Buddhist group calls itself ‘Ravana Balaya’, while Sri Lanka named its first satellite, launched into orbit last June, ‘Ravana-1’. Addressing a conference civil aviation specialists in Colombo in 2016, then Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva had remarked that while the modern history of global aviation began with the Wright Brothers, it was common legend in Sri Lanka that a brave king called Ravana, used a flying machine called “Dandu monara” to fly not only within the country, but also in the region.

Warning Spoilers ahead

Apologies if this sounds little harsh…

‘97% Mumbai parents against reopening schools’
https://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/mumbai/97-mumbai-parents-against-reopening-schools/article32132717.ece

She never cared for SSR. Never mentioned him once before his demise.
She called Randeep Hooda a “permanent failure”. Called Taapsee and Swara Bhaskar “B-Grade” actresses; Ankita Lokhande, a side actress.
This is how she treats outsiders! Without the camera, in real life, as we know it…
