Main chala is a good song with Salman and Lulia, sung by Guru Randhawa.
Lets see if it can match the blockbuster success of Filhaal song of Praak and Akshay. It seems Sallu is trying his best to match up with Akshay.

SalmanKhan MainChala does only 2million views in 24 hours. Its 1/10 of Filhaal
In just 24 hours, these 4 songs of AkshayKumar songs got these views
1. Filhaal – 20.2m
2. BurjKhalifa – 19.3m
3. BamBholle – 18.2m
4. Ek Chumma – 16.1m
Filhall is now 1.1 Billion after 1½ year.

The song is horrible, Filhaal itself was mediocre and it seems like a classic compared to this. Pragya Jaiswal is really pretty and hopefully the curse of being introduced with Bhai doesn’t affect her.

Gangubai trailer looks gritty, dark and slick. Not sure it will set the Box Office on fire though. This is SLB trying to get into Anurag Kashyap’s style of film making.

It looks very massy, this isn’t Bombay Velvet as much as Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (with Ajay Devgn to boot). Vijay Raaz has got a great role by the look of it.
I’d say it’ll outgross Gully Boy, perhaps we are in the age of female stars once more (after the Sridevi-Madhuri era).

I think one video on Anupama was enough to highlight a plague.
Vivek should not overdo it by talking about it everytime and get the debate get distracted from the movie. People like controversies but not incessant complaints about an industry they just love.

In The Kashmir Files, you will see, an extraordinary Anupam Kher performing as if it were his grand finale as an actor. Throughout his career, and even in real life, Kher never comes across as a Kashmiri Pandit in his accent or mannerism. But in the movie, he transforms himself completely into a typical Pandit of my grandfather’s generation, effortlessly. If there is another ‘Saransh’ moment in Kher’s career, it is his mastery over the soul and consciousness of his character in The Kashmir Files.

It wasn’t easy to watch The Kashmir Files. It wasn’t just another movie. Cinematic brilliance aside, it was an eye-opener for all those of us who sat for the screening at the PVR Plaza cinema at Connaught Place. The fact that Pallavi Joshi and Vivek Agnihotri spent 4 years to make the film, with such extensive detailed research of close to 700 hard-hitting interviews that are testimonials from first-generation victims of the genocide of the Kashmiri Pandits community in the 1990s is in itself not a small feat.
The Kashmiri Pandit’s betrayal is evidently well documented in this film and makes you ask this question, why is Farooq Ahmed Dar, the self-admitted butcher of Kashmiri Pandits still roaming scot-free?
A colleague of mine, Pooja Shali, a Kashmiri Pandit herself, who’s an expert at reporting all things Kashmir quite extensively, just watched the trailer and could draw up real-life references that inspired these characters. She hadn’t even watched the movie and she was correct. Agnihotri has not taken any cinematic liberties but said it as it is. Charu Pragya, who sat right beside me and watched the film, sobbed a river. That says it all in terms of an indomitable storytelling ability. Absolutely stunning acting performances by Anupam Kher, Chinmay Mandlekar, Pallavi Joshi, Dashan Kumaar and Bhasha Sumbli, who do justice to the script given to them.
These are stories that need to be told and for many soft separatists, it may be a hard pill to swallow. Think about it for a second if there have been such brutal atrocities that the Kashmiri Hindus have gone through would you not keep your political leanings aside for the sake of humanity and hope for some closure for the first generation victims in their right to justice?

Anupam Kher, who turned 67 on March 7, had a working birthday. The actor on Tuesday shared three videos that gave a glimpse of how he celebrated his birthday with Amitabh Bachchan, Danny Denzongpa and Boman Irani on the sets of Unnchai. Sharing the video clips on Instagram, Anupam Kher said it was the “BEST and dream birthday celebrations.” He also extended his thanks to Sooraj Barjatya, Amitabh Bachchan, Danny and Boman for making his birthday a “memorable day” for him. “I feel blessed,” he concluded.

Runway 34 is reportedly based on the 2015 Jet Airways Doha-Kochi flight that had a narrow escape after facing difficulties due to unclear visibility.
On August 18, 2015, flight ‘9W 555’ bearing 141 passengers and 8 crew members took off from Doha. It tried to land at its destination in Kochi but couldn’t due to poor visibility. They tried diverting it to Trivandrum but the visibility was bad there also.
Finally, a Mayday call was initiated. The plane landed at Trivandrum airport on INSUFFICIENT fuel reserve of only 250 kg, a precarious condition indeed – since the minimum fuel reserve for Boeing 737 aircraft is around 1500 kg!

I think during bad weather it is a norm with air crafts due to poor visibility. However, it seems to be a bit serious in this particular case. Still making a film on it looks medicore as when everybody knows the story. With this sort of subject and Ajay Devgan’s direction my expectation level is zero.

For a film that has death at its core, debutant Raam Reddy’s 2016 Kannada film Thithi manages to mine a lot of humour and drama from its oddball characters.
Set in a village, the film begins with a 101-year-old man, fittingly called Century Gowda, comfortably installed on his porch and griping to passers-by about their inadequacies in a cutting but good-humoured way. You can see his targets are used to it, and mostly pay no heed to the barbs beyond vague smiles. Deciding to take a walk, Century suddenly collapses and dies. It is a fascinating, jarring cold open that underlines just what the writer-director intends with the film.

Liked the PRITHVIRAJ trailer…but truly disappointed with Akshay’s voice modulation…if there was, even, any modulation.\
The other thing is, Dr. Dwivedi is a brutal, honest story-teller who spares none. Technically, he isn’t that interested. So, I hope Dr. hasn’t diluted the story to balance the stupid Yash Raj technicality. We have all seen D3 and D2’s idiotic technology.
Point number 1. Is this an entire anthology of Chauhan, right from childhood to maturity to death? That bloody hell calls for a lot of improvization regarding voice. A King, needs to project a superior voice, not a tingling one, when he is talking to his praja. Inside his quarters, he might tremble, he might question himself, but outside, it is just one voice, that of a rousing one. There are delicate balances that need to be maintained. I am disappointed with Akshay’s perennially same voice timbre.
Here’s Amitabh’s rendition of his father’s poems: AK should have listened and practiced the beauty of this ‘official’ language, day-in and day-out…
This is one, I own a vinyl: Don’t have the gramaphone, have a cassette as well. My vile relative thrashed the gramaphone…

While it is true that Sanjukta-Prithviraj is a tale in itself, I hope Dr. Prakash has maintained a needed distance from the love-story, especially when he says there is more to Prithvi than just being a brave soul…I got this doubt only because I am seeing seeing a lot of interspersed scenes of Akshay with Manushi…I pray I am proven wrong.

These blue ticked hindi movoe reviewers task is to –
1. Overhype south cinema and call every movie from telugu a pan india movie
2. If not given similar treatment by Hindi film industry, downplay and undermine those movies severely.
Kadels, Rohit etc have already started saying Jayesh will not get 5 cr. Obviously such tweets get lapped up by SSR revenge bots, South Indian fans who want dominance now and Hindi cinema fans of Khans.

posted in the wrong thread. As for Prithviraj,
I think romantic track will work as humour track is missing.
A film needs navrasaas. Only war scenes, plotting etc. will become monotonous and will not appeal to the masses and even classes. Some emotional drama will soften the things.
The problem is that Akshay is mainly an action hero excelling in comedy. His romantic scenes look the same in all his movies. He will compensate it with his action scenes while manushi has to be good at romantic scenes like Deepika and Priyanka. Not deadpan like Aishwarya. Kriti Sannon would have been great here instead of Manushi.
