This is directed by Bhojpuri film director, who directed Ganga and Gangotri … hmmm. But Amit ji never tweeted about it .. not even in blog.

Zamanat never released..It got stuck into some controversy and makers are still trying to ensure its release..As far as Leader is concerned, it is clearly written on its poster that film is releasing in this season means 2014.

the trailor was released in 2006 so was film complete or just shelved,I remember rajesh khanna film jai,jai shiv shankar had the similar faith,why watse money when the film have no intention to release.

Something is better than nothing..Makers have invested on Zamanat and by not releaskng thsy are going to get nothing but if they’r able to reldase it, then some money is going to come atleast.

Zamaanat was originally about to release in 1999, even promo released with Suryavansham prints. But then it postponed year after year … last time I heard in 2007 it was about to release, but shelved again, no news thereafter.

One more complete movie of bachchan is “Johny Mastana” AKA Shoe Bite .. directed by Shoojit Sirkar. It was originally 2008 release .. but stuck in legal mess.

Is leader a Bhojpuri film or mainstream Hindi movie? If it is later then i don’t think this is a wise move by Bachchan..He has already played political angle in Satyagrah and BR and when this film will release, election fever will be zero by then..This should not release before Balki movie as that one sounds interesting.

No Shivkumar it is a Hindi film with full fledged role of Bachchan couple..I came to know through a close source..This is a story of a school master( Bachchan) who is a respectable person of a village and later joining politics to dislodge corrupt politician( Gulshan Grover).This film revolves round Bachchan completely.

Timing is bad. Elections will be over by the time this rolls in, and BR has already mopped up a fantastic 35+ Cr (Bet 35 to 37 lifetime). I don’t think there is much left for the film to exploit.

Given his age, the season of his career, in an industry that worships youth, it is mind blowing that he is still wanted. He probably can sit home and rest, but perhaps still puts on the war paint and steps into the bright lights to give life to emerging talents. Sure Showbite did not get a release but thanks to Bachchan, Bollywood has Shoojit Sircar. Hence the way to look at this is that he is being as productive as he can.
He cannot be the fastest runner anymore, but at least he shows up for charity runs. On the other hand, you, it appears are hell bent to time him, not because IMHO you dislike him, but just to disprove those that falsely still claim that he runs at lightning speed.

You are completely wrong here by indirectly labelling me as Bachchan hater..I have really loved him in Cheeni Kam and Paa and i have been eagerly waiting for Shoebite to release..The real problem is with Bachchan fans who can’t withstand healthy criticism..If you think one should hail Bachchan for the crap like leader, then you really are a fanatic..He should do the only films which have some quality and not. this C grade stuff.You people pretend his still continuing act as if he is doing any favour to mankind..

after a long consideration in some respect you are right,he should forget doing this c grades films but samar to consider his age it would be wise to do any films comes his way,but in some cases amitabh has done films that he could have avoided,however people like vinod khanna,jeetendra and shatru and many others cannot get films at all.One thing is for sure that he has the energy and stamina to dance & action at his age.But as you said tyr to avoid doing this C graders.
