    Looks like Dangal from whatever I have heard about this movie.
    The trend of Haryana based movie with actors speaking in Haryanvi started with Khiladi 786 and then Tanu Weds Manu. Looks like now all actors are following this trend.

    Waise this teaser was a big BORE

      Good to see everyone from Kangana to Aamir Khan and now Salman Khan copying and following Akshay’s Khiladi 786 path Haryanvi path. Although I hope Aamir and Salman realizes that there is an Akki film Khiladi 786(not sure if Akki himself remembers) and watch it to better their performances.

    Aamir’s film is a biopic about a real life person, somebody who was discovered during Satyamev Jayate shoot. The two wrestling champ sisters were featured in the sports episode of the TV show, last year. They happen to be from Haryana. In no way does it follow any Akshay or Kangna film. Dangal is apparently about a wrestler Mahavir Phogat who wanted to turn his son into a champ. Since he ended up with daughters, he turned his daughters into champs. So it is about empowering women in a state like Haryana. I think it may well be quite a different film from whatever YRF is planning with Salman Khan. And I can’t help feeling that it is unethical of YRF to announce Eid 2016 as release date for a film on wrestling set in Haryana, when a leading film actor has announced dec 2016 as his release on similar theme. If Aamir had done a Sultan before another Khan’s Dangal, there would be a lot of noise terming him a copycat and a spoilsport. Now of course sites like Pinkvilla are busy asking people to chose between the two wrestler Khans. Bollywood, filmi and social media, supposed friendships…. The situation stinks.

    Slow and steady Aamir may lose this race, I feel. He is seriously doing his part, fattening up to unhealthy proportions, housing his daughter- actors for the film, training them, shooting through latter quarter of this year, planning to lose weight through first five months of 2016, so as to play the 27 yr old version of Phogat…..producing a film diligently– and releasing after a quickie Sultan (by a wildly popular star ) is released before his, similar theme, so his film Dangal is finally just 2nd in line. Great.

      I feel what Aamir is doing to his body is not good. It is simply playing with health. Ultimately he may have to face serious health issues. And the age is also not right.

        fully agree with sanju – aamir is going bit over-board with dangal reg. his physique – ok so people will watch it no matter 10 sultan release before it – but still i don’t consider it to be a that great project unless there some serious melodrama in it too……..2 years is too much time to waste for that and putting up 95 kgs and then reducing it………..not done!

      @ LS I don’t subscribe to your idea of unethical with regards to Sultan releasing before Dangal as each one has the right to choose what is best suited to their interest irrespective of whether it hurts someone else or benefits. So Aamir being methodical has chosen to take up almost 2 years to release Dangal, on the opposite Salman wraps his movies in 6 to 8 months, so it is not Salman’s headache that he should follow Aamir or delay his release as it would be more unethical on his part as he is just starring in the movie not the producer. So it’s producer’s call to decide when to release his or her film. Aamir has himself done that thing in the past as Bombay Velvet had been announced to have a release date on 19th December 2014 well in advance, yet Aamir, Hirani and VVC announced the same date for PK release, wasn’t that unethical on their part being fully aware that BV was 100+ crore movie and needed some space to breathe, yet they went ahead. So it’s more about pragmatism than ethics which dictates the release dates. Good content would find the audience without having to rely on dates solely. If Christmas were the best date, why is it that only Aamir reaping the benefits of it, TZP clashed with Welcome in 2007, yet it made only 8 or 10 crore less than the latter despite its budget being only 1/3 of Welcome. So these are lame excuses to conceal the reality which is “a poor product” however smartly being marketed can not sustain in the long run, which is self evident by the amount of money Aamir’s films are making in comparison to other superstars.

    That’s actually what the makers of Raees must be hoping for. That your Sultan will miss the Eid date next year…

    I don’t know what’s going to happen, but both Raees and Sultan are scheduled as Eid releases. It is perhaps the best thing to happen. People will try to accommodate both the films by building more theatres and lots more screens. There will be more excitement for fans. SRK and I will work much harder and pray that both films will be better. I love Shah Rukh a lot and I don’t think he needs to worry at all because the last time our movies came together he had beaten me. So, even if Sultan and Raees are releasing on the same day, loss mera hi hoga.

    Superstar Salman Khan says his next year release “Sultan” is going to be a stressful film for him. Salman, 49, who will be donning a physically strong character for the film, said the film involves a lot of action scenes.

    “I have to work a lot for this film. It is going to be a stressful film. In November, I start shooting for it. There is lot of action in it.. Wrestling types… Weights… Lot of muscles. I have to be very strong,”

    Salman said in an interview. “So it is not about body, it is not necessary that he will be ripped in six packs but he is very strong,” he said. Salman and producer Aditya Chopra have decided to release “Sultan” on Eid 2016. The film produced by Yash Raj Films will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

    Other actors who are donning the boxer gloves, are superstars Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan. While Akshay plays a boxer in Karan Malhotra’s “Brothers”, Aamir is getting ready to play a wrestler in Nitish Tiwari’s “Dangal”

    “It is a beautiful film (Dangal). He is playing a father of two in that film. I have no children in ‘Sultan’. Ours is a sports film but there is action, there is a love story. There is no negative force.. He just has opponents,” Salman said.
