Actor Vidya Balan has called out the “vilification of Rhea Chakraborty” in connection with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, saying it is unfortunate that the tragedy has been turned into a “media circus”.
Actor Raveena Tandon has responded to actor Kangana Ranaut’s allegations that 99% of people in the film industry engage in the use of drugs, after lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani raised questions about Bollywood’s ‘deafening silence’ on the issue. She said that an entire industry could not be generalised and that it has ‘the good and the bad’.
“Globally,99 % of judges,politicians,babus,officials,cops are corrupt.This statement cannot be a generic description for all.People are intelligent.They can differentiate between good/ bad.Few bad apples cannot spoil a basket.Likewise our industry also has the good and the bad,” she wrote.
Raveena was replying to Mahesh’s tweet in which he wondered whether Bollywood’s silence on the allegations implies complicity. “A Bollywood actress makes a serious charge claiming personal knowledge on a TV channel with a large viewership that 99% of Bollywood consumes narcotic drugs. Not one person from that industry contradicts her. What inference is the public to draw from this deafening silence?” he questioned.
“In 2013, my brother Sushant Singh Rajput told me and other sisters that he was feeling very low. He used to come out of this once we all convinced him. In 2013, he consulted a psychiatrist in Andheri. After that, he became composed and his career was progressing well. He had attained huge success in very little time,” she said in her statement on June 16.
Ankur Arora Murder case is quite a good watch though not exceptional.
Anukokunda oka roju belongs to charming Charmee and its remake Sunday could not replicate the authenticity of the original telugu.
Navya said that what helped her was surrounding herself with people who motivate her and make her feel good. “There have been times in my life when I haven’t been surrounded by positive people and I have seen how negatively it has impacted the way that I think. Not just about myself but about the world. I have learnt from then on that I am only going to surround myself with people who make me feel good and happy,” she added. Navya even mentioned how reality shows help her de-stress and that she enjoyed watching Indian Matchmaking.

Earlier, Bihar lower court had restrained the makers of the series from using Subrata Roy’s name. The Netflix then filed a plea in the Supreme Court against the order. However, the apex court on Wednesday refused to entertain the plea and granted the Netflix the liberty to approach the Patna High Court.

I am getting excited for Adipurush. Ramayana is not that complicated an epic. If the vfx is decent then this can be a good watch. Glad that Prabhas has got this opportunity. He was majorly let down by Saaho as a film.
Similarly Adipurush is foremost a Prabhas film and Vikram Veda will be an Aamir film. But when time runs out as the main lead, its better to take up supporting roles than just vanish into thin air imo.
He is pretty much done as a lead hero to carry a film on his own shoulders. Yet he can remain relevant if he picks interesting roles and scripts in multistarers. And thats ok.
One of the over-rated actors in the HFI. However, as a ‘metro-sexual’, he fits in. More than DCH – where he first left a foot-print – it was in EK HASEENA THI that he stamped himself as an actor to trust for the metro-sexual, grey-area roles. ‘Versatile’ and Saif would be opposites. At best, Saif is safe.
Come to think of it more, the film is half baked and has many loopholes. But cant watch these kind of films anymore. Headache inducing.

The idea is taken from the brilliant and revolutionary Searching. But the novelty factor would wear thin for any subsequent film no matter how ‘freshness’ it brings to the story.
I am glad some producers are planning mega budget films even in such times of a pandemic. The post-covid world will need films on such scale to keep theaters alive.
The ligature mark in hanging was oblique in 100% cases, discontinuous in 96.93% cases and the subcutaneous tissue underneath the ligature mark was pale and dry in 100% cases. The ligature mark in strangulation was transverse in 100% cases, continuous in 100% cases and subcutaneous tissue underneath the mark was contused in 88.2% cases.
People need to understand what pale and dry here means. The hanging mark is light, not bruised. As opposed to “Contused” meaning bruised – reddish marks. Any rudimentary analysis of Sushant’s neck will be concluded: “It is anything but pale and dry”. And this is without including that severe dark gash on his lower neck.
This is where the suicide theory unravels completely. And this is the conclusion drawn by multiple Forensic experts.

Didn’t like it. Great production value, very good photography and that’s about it.
Not sure why Nolen can’t make straight thriller/action movie without making it so confusing. It will take just about anyone couple viewing to really understand the movie.
The background music is loud and the dialogues are not audible for most part. What makes it worst is you had many character who are kind of like supposed to have accent which makes it even worse to follow.
Interstellar played with 4th dimension and kept it straight forward until end of the movie. I’m sure a lot was explained in this movie too but due to me not able to hear or understand some of the dialogues, I may have missed it.
I actually questioned myself if i’m getting too old to comprehend it???
Bombay/Mumbai (not sure if this will be a spoiler for you), was just about couple minutes. And most of the scenes were crowded scenes which could have been picturised at warnerbros studio in California.
Dimple, was okay. I didn’t get the feeling that Variety is stating in their review.
By the way the back ground music is awesome when action sequence is ready to start, the issue is it just doesn’t stop.
I saw it on digital big screen but I can’t imagine anyone able to hear any dialogues in IMAX where the sound system is much louder.

Tenet began its Chinese theatrical engagement Friday with a frankly underwhelming $8.44 million. The much-anticipated Chris Nolan spy actioner, which “officially” opened on Thursday after three nights of previews, earned good but not great word-of-mouth from paying Chinese audiences. For now the problem is less word-of-mouth and more a “mere” (counting previews) $8.95 million Friday gross. The film was expected/hoped to open closer to $50 million but now will likely open closer to $25 million-$30 million. While legs are possible, it now needs better-than-normal (for a Hollywood release in China) legs. Unlike America and much of the world, it’s going to have lots of competition.

Yea the Turkey fiasco is ironically responsible for putting Aamir at #2. There is no other buzz around him as his last release was 2 years back. A lot of people will be happy to see LSC flop or underperform. The movie has to be something extraordinary to live upto expectations now. Searching is very fast paced thriller. Highly recommended. It felt like a true story as I know most of the places referenced in the movie.

Saif recently had a big one in Tanhaji. Considering the lows he had reached,he will surely take this line-up.
I am getting excited for Adipurush. Ramayana is not that complicated an epic. If the vfx is decent then this can be a good watch. Glad that Prabhas has got this opportunity. He was majorly let down by Saaho as a film.

One of the over-rated actors in the HFI. However, as a ‘metro-sexual’, he fits in. More than DCH – where he first left a foot-print – it was in EK HASEENA THI that he stamped himself as an actor to trust for the metro-sexual, grey-area roles. ‘Versatile’ and Saif would be opposites. At best, Saif is safe.

My final comments on the SSR case:
Sushant’s ligature mark
Specifically the following comments, highlighted:
The ligature mark in hanging was oblique in 100% cases, discontinuous in 96.93% cases and the subcutaneous tissue underneath the ligature mark was pale and dry in 100% cases. The ligature mark in strangulation was transverse in 100% cases, continuous in 100% cases and subcutaneous tissue underneath the mark was contused in 88.2% cases.
People need to understand what pale and dry here means. The hanging mark is light, not bruised. As opposed to “Contused” meaning bruised – reddish marks. Any rudimentary analysis of Sushant’s neck will be concluded: “It is anything but pale and dry”. And this is without including that severe dark gash on his lower neck.
This is where the suicide theory unravels completely. And this is the conclusion drawn by multiple Forensic experts.

Had came back from Tenet couple hours back.
Didn’t like it. Great production value, very good photography and that’s about it.
Not sure why Nolen can’t make straight thriller/action movie without making it so confusing. It will take just about anyone couple viewing to really understand the movie.
The background music is loud and the dialogues are not audible for most part. What makes it worst is you had many character who are kind of like supposed to have accent which makes it even worse to follow.

Interstellar played with 4th dimension and kept it straight forward until end of the movie. I’m sure a lot was explained in this movie too but due to me not able to hear or understand some of the dialogues, I may have missed it.
I actually questioned myself if i’m getting too old to comprehend it???
Bombay/Mumbai (not sure if this will be a spoiler for you), was just about couple minutes. And most of the scenes were crowded scenes which could have been picturised at warnerbros studio in California.
Dimple, was okay. I didn’t get the feeling that Variety is stating in their review.
By the way the back ground music is awesome when action sequence is ready to start, the issue is it just doesn’t stop.
I saw it on digital big screen but I can’t imagine anyone able to hear any dialogues in IMAX where the sound system is much louder.

Don’t get me wrong, i really like watching akshay film but this concept of that he is bigger star than srk/salman/aamir/hrithik is just silly. one can argue that he doesn’t even have bigger fan following than ranbir/ranveer.

There were 5 people including me when i went to see Tenet. there were probably total of no more than 25 people in whole theater which has 18 screens including Imax, D-Box, Big Digital Screen.
I can’t imagine how they can stay in business.

Tenet not so strong in China …
Tenet began its Chinese theatrical engagement Friday with a frankly underwhelming $8.44 million. The much-anticipated Chris Nolan spy actioner, which “officially” opened on Thursday after three nights of previews, earned good but not great word-of-mouth from paying Chinese audiences. For now the problem is less word-of-mouth and more a “mere” (counting previews) $8.95 million Friday gross. The film was expected/hoped to open closer to $50 million but now will likely open closer to $25 million-$30 million. While legs are possible, it now needs better-than-normal (for a Hollywood release in China) legs. Unlike America and much of the world, it’s going to have lots of competition.

Despite the negative buzz many felt it would work big time if the content is good.
Negative publicity was thought to be useful. Of cpurse i always knew the content is poor from the promos.
So the ranking is totally justified as Sadak 2 has a buzz beyond comparision.
I surprised to see Aamir at No 2. Is he because of his Turkey kaand? I mean thats cheating then.
This is a bigger fiasco than Sadak 2 at No1.

Yea the Turkey fiasco is ironically responsible for putting Aamir at #2. There is no other buzz around him as his last release was 2 years back. A lot of people will be happy to see LSC flop or underperform. The movie has to be something extraordinary to live upto expectations now. Being just good wont suffice given the negativity brewing around it.

Even though, by the film’s pitch-perfect ending, attentive viewers may sense they’re able to generically perceive when a vocalist is transcendent versus when they’re uninspired, the lack of background means most of us will feel ill-equipped to make any kind of judgment on what is an important element of the movie’s DNA.

Parth Samthaan has been in news for quite some time now mostly for all the wrong reasons. However, as we reported earlier in our story, that the actor was keen on quitting Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 quietly because he had a big Bollywood project in hand. And now we have learnt exclusively, that Parth is playing Alia Bhatt’s lover in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next. The movie, titled Gangubai Kathiawadi is a biographical crime film about a young girl, who is sold into prostitution by her boyfriend. Apparently, Parth is going to play Alia’s lover in the film and has a short but prominent role in the movie. “This was the reason why Parth wanted to take a break from TV so that he can prepare for his big Bollywood break, this shooting of which will be scheduled soon.. He didn’t want to juggle between his TV show and his big Bollywood project.

More than a million Muslims in Xinjiang, mostly of the Uighur minority, have been imprisoned in concentration camps. Some have been released. Countless numbers have died. Forced sterilization campaigns have caused the birth rate in Xinjiang to plummet roughly 24 percent in 2019 — and “imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group” fits within the legally recognized definition of genocide. Disney, in other words, worked with regions where genocide is occurring, and thanked government departments that are helping to carry it out.
Disney executives had thought that the original “Mulan” would please both the Chinese government and Chinese filmgoers. But because Disney had distributed “Kundun” (1997), a film glorifying the Dalai Lama, Beijing restricted the studio’s ability to work in China. Disney spent the next several years trying to get back into the party’s good graces. “We made a stupid mistake in releasing ‘Kundun,’” the then-CEO of Disney Michael Eisner told Premier Zhu Rongji in October 1998. “Here I want to apologize, and in the future we should prevent this sort of thing, which insults our friends, from happening.”

Agree, she is getting plenty of support from BJP and it’s media outlets. If Maharashtra had BJP government, you would see a totally different attitude towards kangana.
But you have to give her credit, she is playing her cards correctly. It’s a win win situation for her and no-one used SSR death to their advantage like kangana did. Wish kangana had done something for SSR while he was alive.
