This is what I call smoldering, intense, with the hint of the depth of passion she had within her. I considered her to be the best of her generation, with her stunning acting, intensity (and a very underrated hot trim figure), which she brought to her roles. She brought all of that, and to my mind the best chemsitry from any of Amitabh’s co-stars in Shakti and Namak Halaal. Just check the “Aaj Rapat Jayein” song to sample what she could do.

I completely agree with everything NYkavi has said. What a woman.
Re: “… a very underrated hot trim figure…”
Prakash Mehra and Amitabh Bachchan seemed quite appreciative in Namak Halaal.

A tragic loss at a young age.
Too bad she got involved with Raj Babbar.

I cant remember what it was, but there always was a accusing finger pointed towards RajB for her death.
Always wondered why in that generation, though everyone from Rekha, Hema, Sridevi, Shabana, Smita, etc couldve had their “own” man, they curiously chose to be the other wife (or woman)

She was definitlvely a very distinctive woman. In fact all the heriones before the current decade had very individualistic looks and styles which were endearing in thier own way as compared to say a Bipasha or Katrina or … now with nothing really to choose between them

Agree Latha, so many actresses today look very generic, and don’t leave much of an impression.

I agree that they were more distinctive earlier but I’d take Bipasha in a minute over Katrina!

My apologies Nykavi but at least you have one less competitor now for the lady’s affections!
To be brutally honest I’ve always found Katrina insipid. I’d take most of the top actresses currently working over her if not all.

Yaar, main acting prowess ki to baat hi nahi kar raha hoon. Just by being herself, she packs enough charm.

Lookswise and sex appeal-wise, I too would take Bipasha Basu over Katrina kaif. And Shriya Saran over either.

I agree… Bipasha has a lot of oomph. And she makes a change from the generic light-skinned model.

Katrina is very pretty and at times does make herself interesting. The insipid charge was fairer earlier on.
In the words of one of my friends wife- Bipasha is a ‘bhains’. I HAVE TO AGREE. LOL.
