Oh please scan the articles and post them up. Pretty please 🙂
Where do you get these old magazines from by the way? I’ve been looking for vintage gossip and articles (particularly relating to Shashi) to keep myself busy over the summer.

from the sidebar posters I have not seen the following-
Jab Jab Phool khile. Haseena Maan Jayegee, Rootha Na Karo, Sawaal, Rahu Ketu and Jeevan Sangram.
I would really like to see Sawaal as this seems yash raj/ ramesh talwar movie
any one seen it ???
also would love postr for Kalyug, Junoon and New Delhi Times and Utsav.

Sawaal is just passable. Jab Jab Phool Khile is the Raja Hindustani original. Haseena Maan Jayegi is Prakash Mehra’s debut.
I couldn’t find posters for those films, at least not ‘art’ posters and I don’t like photographs at all!

Thanks Satyam, btw have you ever done a piece on Kalyug???
your analysis and thoughts would be awesome to read. IMO Kalyug is to Mahabharat to what Mani is doing to Ravana re. Ramayan.
PS- you can if you prefer bring in fellini, Bijlani etc. LOL !!!

You probably brought up the best reason to revisit Kalyug, which I’ve never seen. With Ravana around the corner, it might be instructive in some sense.

I might have said something at some point. Not sure, let me check. But agreed on the Mahabharat parallels.

Haven’t seen Kalyug in perhaps 15 years, but remember absolutely loving it. I need to re-visit this…

any one remeber the TV series Khandaan, it was IMO kind of inspired by Kalyug.
It had Jayant Kriplani, Shekhar Kapoor, Neena Gupta etc. very engaging.
