    The book is worth reading. It’s a self-published work. It’s not very impressively written but it’s more hard science fiction than fantasy (nowhere is this more apparent than the ground control sequences, but even in some of the ingenious survival tactics it devises) and the central character is a lot of fun.

Saw Martian trailer on big screen. It is interesting but huge hangover of Interstellar and repeating Matt Damon & Jessica Chastain from Interstellar doesn’t help.
