Luthria has a fine record and has made some decent films. I know Golmaal will be a big one but it’s not my cup of tea, really. However Baadshaho is probably worth a look. Appears promising. I think the theme is of the kind that is not being done too regularly in Bollywood these days. And Luthria/Devgan will be at home with it. They will be in their comfort zone.
I think, on paper at least, Devgan looks like he will have a strong finish this year.
OUATIM was ok. The sequel was disappointing. I enjoyed Deewar as well, personally. I thought it was gripping enough. The main problem for it was that it came out at a time when Indo-Pakistan relations were better. Movies like MHN and VZ were working while the likes of Zameen, LOC and ATHWS weren’t.
ML is at the fag end of his career and has gone back to his favorite AD…….may just give a semi-hit with this….but Dirty Picture and OUTIM stand out in his career
So we’ll witness another round of overwritten dialogues and people talking in WTF metaphorical language and referring to themselves in third person, as is the norm with Luthria. Sorry, but definitely not on in this one
This Poster is the best of the look. Look at the eyes.
The movie is going to be special. Luthria brings the best in Devgn and vice versa. OUATIM was the best gangster story of this decade.
