Pinning my hopes on MT’s script. Recently saw Hariharan’s Mayookham and it was dreadful- the awful cast didn’t help any.

Mammootty looks magnificent here and one can only hope the script justifies the look..

I didn’t bother watching Mayookham, heard pretty bad things about it. I recently revisited Amruthamgamaya which is frankly one of the best films of the 80s…one of Hariharan’s greats, the script is truly affecting (and, unlike today’s bloated work, is sparse and direct in dialogue) and I regard Lal’s performance here very highly.
Shaji’s camerawork is also quite excellent here.

Amrutham Gamaya was a truly incredible film. Both Lal and Parvathy were truly stellar here. Impacted me so much that I saw this one in a theater 2 days in a row.

By the way what’s up with surya? Either they’re not updating their site or they’ve not released anything for months now.

Hmm… maybe not, they basically have all the surya stuff though I don’t think I have Jagradha (1989).

Yeah, I discovered them a while back… the problem with them is that anything worth buying is out of stock!
