First look of Rajneeti & Abzee’s comment

Abzee says,  “A friend of mine sent me this first look of Rajneeti. I don’t know if this has been put up earlier.  Quite a cast assembled here.  In fact, my friend tells me that Irffan Khan was supposed to do the Arjun Rampal role here…that would’ve made an even otherwise strong cast better. Btw, there’s also Naseeruddin Shah, Mohan Agashe and Om Puri in bit parts here apparently. This will be Ranbir’s true test for me.  He has so far established that he is good at tapping into familiar registers (Saawariya- Raj Kapoor; BAH- SRK; WUS- DCH trio + Hrithik of Lakshya; APKGK- masala medlee), but Rajneeti will be the first time he’ll have to ‘create’ a character. Nonetheless, Ranbir really seems to be making some giant strides. Btw, saw APKGK today.  This is a film that solely works because of the screenplay, Santoshi’s deft handling and Ranbir’s perf.  This guy is made for the camera.”
