It was such an immersive and engaging piece of cinematic experience. Powered with emotions, conflicts, real life narrative with equally wonderful visuals, and brilliant performances, the movie delivers and how. Fighter is a rare movie that succeeds on almost every level, where each character, scene, visuals, aerial and land based action, camaraderie, romance, and geo political tensions are displayed with such perfection.

You drown in this immersive journey with the punchy dialogues, the visuals and yes there is nothing here that reminds you of the analogy with Top Gun as Siddharth Anand takes you through each moment of this journey making it an exhilarating experience and you will forget about Tom Cruise and Top gun because this is every bit an India centric narrative and draws analogy with what difficulty our pilots and air force protect the skies from daring and rancorous enemies especially coming from the rogue neighbour. Man I am still going through goose bumps and recall of spine chilling moments. There are so many punchy dialogues but one which I loved was where the female protagonist says there is no discrimination in the sky as everyone is equal there . It’s a rare cinematic gem which is worth repeated viewings.
Coming to performances this movie is owned by Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor. Hrithik just does not cease to surprise me on how effortless and brilliant he is with each performance and this one is a six delivered out of the field. He looks debonair and his eyes deliver the most powerful emotions that you will marvel at the way he has matured as an actor over the years. Anil Kapoor for me is just ouuutstanding like he is in for long haul. He has aged in reverse. Man what a performance. Deepika looks stunning and has given beautiful support to the leads and delivers a power punched performance. Rest of the cast is very good too.

The movie should attract family audience. It’s probably not meant for all cine goers hence you see polarized reviews, but it should be watched by each person who loves his country and has respect for the forces and also by those who should be aware of what painstaking efforts our military has to undertake to ensure that we have peace and tranquillity in our lives. This was the best gem delivered by Siddhartha Anand for me. And yes I would say they should carry on with promotions to mass out otherwise this may be more confined to A centres.
Some movies are just above Box office and rating. Fighter is one for me.
