My Review of The Social Network (English, 2010)

David Fincher is undeniably one of the most fascinating directors in Hollywood today. SEVEN, THE GAME, FLIGHT CLUB, PANIC ROOM, ZODIAC and THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON is a repertoire that most directors would dream of in Hollywood and his consistency across all these films is a remarkable effort. Being a Social Media Evangelist myself, I was excited at the idea of a film showcasing the “real” story behind Facebook and the controversy surrounding it, though still sceptical as this isn’t really a subject that sounded “exciting” on paper. However THE SOCIAL NETWORK turns out to be one of 2010’s finest films and another feather in Fincher’s cap.
