Throughout the 60s and 70s he had a monopoly on all the mythological He-Man roles. Shiva, Bheem, even Hercules, finally culminating in his role of Hanuman. For any Hindu boy growing up (and if his parents fed him a steady diet of mythology), Dara Singh was greater than any superhero.
My favs roles of his as Shiva and Bheem:
Absolutely love Rafi crooning the starting credits to Mahabharat in the second clip.
